Fallen Muppet. Lest we never forget
He basically said he can't say anything yet in his press conference and he doesn't like it as he likes to communicate clearly.I hope so, this is ridiculous.

Soap opra?
Ten Hag was sacked on Monday and his replacement will be hired by tomorrow.

I was there, I saw itYeah, it's exactly like that time Frank Butcher ran over Tiffany Mitchell with his Ford Mondeo.
ha fair enough.Amorim is the one saying soap opera
No it's not. Some of you lot... We are in October FFS.
We are still in literally every competition. Top 4 is still achievable too. I agree that he can join in 2 weeks and Ruud can stay at helm until then but the season isn't fecked at all.
Spurs is in efl and I doubt anyone cares . Just 2 out of 9 matches. that's as easy as you can get in PL unless you are expecting us to play teams like Barnsley every week.(no offense to Barnsley and referred them only because we beat 7-0)Arsenal, city and spurs away.....not sure how that qualifies as 'best start you could have asked for'?!
Can’t really blame him for not making the top four since he will get used to the pace of the league but I would like him to give it a try but Europa league yes cause if we don’t make top 5 at least we get UCL football if we win. What’s the expectations for Amorim this season?
It’s early enough in the season for top 4 to still be a realistic target (top 5 most likely gets CL football this season). Win the Europa League?
Likely bald by christmasThe bastard is aging like fine wine. Let's see what 3 years in this job will do to him.
Spurs is in efl. So that's just 2 out of 9.I mean... you definitely could.
Arsenal, City and Spurs away in your first 10 games is horrible. The other fixtures are grand but you could definitely have asked for better.
If they had brought him in during the last international break his first 10 games would've been Brentford, Fenerbace, West Ham, Leicester, Chelsea, PAOK, Leicester, Ipswich, Bodo/Glimt and Everton.
@Sweet SquareHe has that Che Guevara vibe about him.

I don’t see what is in this for Sporting Lisbon to keep a manager an extra ten days when everybody knows he’s going. Surely that just causes unrest for everybody.
Spurs just lost Van de Ven to another hamstring issueSpurs is in efl. So that's just 2 out of 9.
4 home matches, away at IPS, Wolves ,Viktoria
that's easy !

Maybe Sporting need a week or so to sort a replacement and have a big league game (Braga) and a CL game (City) coming up, to be fair this has progressed very quickly as it is and RVN has got a decent enough run to win a few games as caretaker.I don’t see what is in this for Sporting Lisbon to keep a manager an extra ten days when everybody knows he’s going. Surely that just causes unrest for everybody.
I don't consider top 4 to be realistic. Especially if we lose further ground on Chelsea after this weekend. I would like to see him stamp his authority on the side in terms of a playing style and hopefully from there results will follow. Winning the Europa is realistic. The only real obstacle at this stage anyway, should be Spurs. What’s the expectations for Amorim this season?

Tuesday nights game against City is going to be an interesting one, I wonder if the City fans will be giving him loads of stick.
I don’t make anything, but that’s what they briefed regarding Ten Hag. Nuno seemed to be their last choice in that cycle anyway, went for a bunch of people who they rejected or turned down and were left with him.Spurs went for Nuno. If they didn’t think ETH had any charisma what do you make of Nuno?
I don’t think we can promise anything for Jan cause we have to be aware of FFP but surely he would have been given guarantees he will be backed in the summer.I wonder how the conversations go in such cases. When we approached him, did we give him time to assess our squad and to think whether he'd be ok to take the job? If so, did we promise him some transfers in January?
Or is it like United have come calling and you say yes?
I mean yea. Did you seriously expect us to challenge for the title? Considering the issues we have at LB(two injury prone guys who haven't played in ages), midfield(ageing players in Casemiro and Eriksen and another injury prone player in Mount) and the number of young players we are banking on taking the next step in their development(Hojlund, Amad, Garnacho, Mainoo, Yoro and you could even add Zirkzee as well) solidifying ourselves as a top 4 club would always have been the sensible target.Fecked in the sense that it will be another season of not getting anywhere close to the top of the table. Yes we can achieve top 4, maybe or maybe not. But is that really what we're looking forward to these days?
They briefed the media they rejected a manager cause he had no charisma? There is no way a club will say that.I don’t make anything, but that’s what they briefed regarding Ten Hag. I think he also said Joel Pereira was going to be the best Portuguese keeper...The last time Jose called someone "The best xxx in Portugal" was Dalot. This is not as much a ringing endorsement as one would like to think.
He called him the best full back in Europe for his age group, which tbh wasn't all that outlandish. The last time Jose called someone "The best xxx in Portugal" was Dalot. This is not as much a ringing endorsement as one would like to think.
Not exactly the same, but I remember Nagelsmann had a whole season at Hoffenheim after it had already been announced he would be going to Leipzig at the end of the season. I believe it's not uncommon in Germany. While the delay in him starting at United isn’t that odd, I don’t recall ever seeing a scenario where the manager who is leaving to another club during the season manages a few more games, with everyone knowing that they’re leaving

Don't be silly.Amorim move still not definitive, he seems to be on the fence. Ruud and Hake might be leaving through the Southgate.
