I must admit I really thought we needed an authoritative manager when Ole left and thus was pleased with the appointment of Ten Hag for this reason amongst others.
However I think his chemistry with the players never matched my hope and expectations and this ultimately showed in results and his departure.
Ruben seems very personable and I’ve read that this approach really resonated with the Sporting squad. It’s great to see him so comfortable with the players already and I’m hoping these potential bonds will be what helps bring out the best in the United squad.
