There will be a lot of pain this season. We need to back the manager and trust his vision. I like we have a plan this time around. I just pray he is a strong personality who can bench or axe the likes of Rashford / Bruno when not performing
You sound like a SCP fanThere will be a lot of pain this season.
There were tons of big switches of play under Ten Hag. Like the lead up to Mainoo’s goal in the FA cup final.I do like the big switches of play that seem to have returned under him so far. Takes me back to United at our best. Old Trafford is a big pitch, use it. I like Bruno in a regular midfield slot for that reason.
Under ETH the only pass over distance allowed was the ball over the top.

There is a lot more sideways passing and emphasis on keeping the ball under Amorim, that much is clear.
The big test will be Wednesday agaisnt arsenal at the emirates. He can’t play eriksen and case or even Bruno and ugarte in the midfield. He surely going to change it up. Not going to lie a dream scenario is 0-0 and 90 min winner from their academy boy we signed
God knows why Bruno always gets lumped alongside Rashford. There will be a lot of pain this season. We need to back the manager and trust his vision. I like we have a plan this time around. I just pray he is a strong personality who can bench or axe the likes of Rashford / Bruno when not performing
The big difference I see already is that under ETH once every so often, maybe not even once a match you would see a move that looked like it was worked and planned, not just individuals occasionally doing something which resulted in a goal. Under Amorim it looks a lot more planned and structured than it ever did under ETH, there are patterns of play I had forgotten what they looked like. There were tons of big switches of play under Ten Hag. Like the lead up to Mainoo’s goal in the FA cup final.

Switch passes were an integral part of ETH attacking tactics. Keep on digging your hole though.Nah disagree. A lot of long balls played over the top under ETH but that's different. That's a hopeful punt.
Obviously there's an exception here and there like the FA Cup final goal. That goal surprised everyone, nobody thought we had that in our locker.
I thought that was a good interview from Chapman, touched on a slightly different perspective to Amorim than some of the other interviews he's done. As per usual Amorim came across really well.(Yet another) interview with him, this time by the BBC. A little more insight into him as a person.

Problem is there is a lot of scrutiny on united. He played 343 against Ipswich and you've got dippy pundits like Danny Murphy saying its not possible to play this way. There will be a lot of pain this season. We need to back the manager and trust his vision. I like we have a plan this time around. I just pray he is a strong personality who can bench or axe the likes of Rashford / Bruno when not performing

I’m not bringing him up with wrong statements. Honestly it is like some don’t watch our games. The tactics that saw us struggling to break even?
Hes gone, can we not keep bringing him up please?

Maguire would be equally done for pace. He may break into midfield better than De Ligt though. We need Maguire. These back three are so weak physically.
That last part is the biggest positive for me early on, finally getting goals consistently from the no.9 position again.Really is incredible what a quality coach can do in short time. Obviously there are issues, some players lacking the right profile, but for the first time in ages we are seeing actual patterns on the ball, a structure that makes sense and isn't just idiotic to anyone with half a brain cell other than our previous manager, we aren't abandoning the whole midfield but also we are balanced both in getting numbers in attack and behind the ball.
The shit moments seem to stem from sloppy touches and passes rather than any systemic issue, and that's a good sign. Oh and most of all... his system is getting goals for our strikers. 4 in 3 games for the player playing as the 9. Great to see and should get them all feeling more confident.
Love that he’s rotating the team a little
We didn’t. This’ll be our biggest win in the league since defeating Southampton 9-0 under Ole in 2021 I think, other than the 5-1 win over Leeds later on that year.Be great if we get a 5th goal here. Don't think we got 5 in a PL game under ETH.
