Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Getting him in the middle of the season was a horrible mistake, especially if he couldn't be backed in the winter. Regardless of the situation he's in, and whether or not it is his complete fault, his job shouldn't be safe.
issue is nobody was saying that at the time were they. This was the manager that Liverpool were apparently interested in, then City to replace Pep because he beat them a couple of times in a one of game. The majority were happy when he was brought in.
He has to show something. The only thing he’s shown so far is a formation that clearly doesn’t work, leaves us full of holes all over the pitch and exposed time and time again. Does he have a plan b. No.
Youre correct. He’s not and shouldn’t be safe

:lol::lol: Really?

Never saw anywhere that he was a CEO there.

That’s because he was never CEO of Manchester City. Otherwise much would have been made on both sides about united nicking their CEO from right under their nose.

He was CEO of football operations. This is definitely a promotion. He’s never overseen the this scale before.

I've seen quite a few managers come and go, part and parcel of being a Chelsea fan but I Must admit this is probably the poorest I've ever seen a new manager perform, particularly one that was highly touted.

It's 100% not all down to the players either.

They aren't great, but they aren't this bad.

Based on making an England side very hard to beat.

We are the easiest side to beat in Europes top 5 leagues at the moment.

The same unbeatable England that got dicked by the mighty Hungary? The same England that got relegated from the top nations league group? The same England that under his management bottled every moment they had to make history?

He is a disaster. We have been poor for a decade, but it's the first time where I feel we have no chance of winning no matter the opposition. The players are shite but we are losing to everyone.

I guess Amorim will get battered but let's be honest.

Our captain and supposedly most creative player with a 0/10 performance.

Maguire with the worst performance I've ever seen from a defender. And I've seen Bailly/Rojo partnership.

Key point that says it all - 49th minute in a tight area Zirkzee and Bruno lose 3 challenges in a row, looking unbothered.

If they sack the manager (deserved if you simply look at results), they should sack a bunch of players with him.
And I'm talking about our most expensive ones.

He isn't going to budge on his style of play, the club knew this prior to hiring him, it's on them now to deliver in the Summer window, it will be a big indicator of where we are heading with Ruben.

If he doesn't get at least four players in I am expecting to see the same shit again next season. Four players doesn't fix this either, it's going to take another two or three windows where you see massive wholesale changes

Will his style work in the championship?

We only need to win about 3 games to stay up, such is the points gap, and such is the crapness of the bottom teams. Southampton are gone, and 2 of Leicester, Wolves and Ipswich won't win 7/8 of their last games.

We'll beat Ipswich, Wolves and West Ham at home. Probably lose most of the others, with a couple of draws.
Winning 3 games seems like winning 3 champions leagues in a row the way we are going.

He is going to lose his job eventually, question is how many losses will the hierarchy let him see out. I don't think they will be too patient, it's pretty obvious they don't care about optics.

After spending so much money on players that might not suit his style.

But I'm sure no-one wouldn't go back to the summer, make the appointment then, and then buy players differently.

Game going badly as predicted, and some people still want to blame Amorim. This is a decade of horrendous decision making unfolding before our eyes, yet people want to blame the guy who's only been here 5 minutes.

Both things can be true though. We appear to be going backwards under Amorim not forwards.

Also worrying is that you could sense an "end days" vibe during the last few games of the Ole, Mourinho and ETH reigns. It was very distinct and noticeable, even if not too easy to describe. The team looked lost, nobody was trying, results got worse and worse etc.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting that vibe now as strong as ever.

Players getting mysteriously "injured" and "reinjured".

I feel like the end is coming too. We might have to see out the season though (unless we truly are pulled into a relegation battle).

Getting knocked out of the Europa League would be the final nail in the coffin.

Wholesale changes and complete overhaul with no money for a manager and system completely unproven at the highest level.

Sounds like a good plan.

Just because the club is in a terrible state as a whole does not mitigate the severe failings of a manager who completely struggling to do the basic remit of his job. (Coach a fecking football team to win more games than they lose)

Id take Dalot, Maguire and Casemiro off at half time and replace them with Garnacho, Yoro and Eriksen. Play Garna out wide on the right and Eriksen in midfield and go for it. It doesn't really matter if we lose with 2 or 4 goals at this point.

Yeah, maybe. We would potentially be 16th if we lose the next 2 games. You think trigger happy SJR will hold his nerve?
100%, because there simply isn't enough money to sack him and staff, hire a new manager and have more than about £20m to spend in the summer.

You can't only give a manager half a season. Even Moyes had 9months and he individually unpicked a championship winning team.

You are finding excuses to not blame the manager for the performances we see on the field.

Everton were relegation candidates when Moyes took over, yet 5 weeks later they have a better squad than us? It’s the same narrative pushed for every out of depth manager we get. The only difference is the current manager is showing us his (in)competence much much earlier than his predecessors.
Better squad, no.

Better first XI than what we've got out today? Just look at it.

I don’t see how anyone thought he could come in after a third of the season have passed, with an entirely different approach to the game, and expect immediate results.

For all the talk about the quality of players, beyond that, they just look extremely confused right now. I know people will say, “They’re professionals,” but football is a game of fine margins these days. One defensive lapse due to an inconsistent tactical approach, and the entire game plan falls apart.

We all knew that extending ETH in the summer was a bad idea, but sacking him deep into the season and bringing in a manager with a completely different system is turning out to be even worse.

Needs to be sacked. Untenable at this point, the only silver lining for Amorim is though he's accountable his superiors dealt him a truly woeful hand in circumstances.

He's the wrong manager for this job at hand.

Yet another case of blindly hoping a manager is the cure even though he is showing himself to be as much of a problem.

We need to stop with this thought process that every manager we hire is “the one”. Amorim is just another guy, much like his predecessors, who came in with a lot of hype but he is not really that good, again much like the man he replaced.

He's doing worse than the previous guy, who was also shite. Ten Hag has still won over 50% of the points in the league this season (15/29) despite being sacked in October. There are levels of shite and Amorim is plumbing new depths.
