Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Never mind systems and formations, someone, anyone, get a grip of these set pieces. How has this not been fixed yet? Comical.

Needs to adapt to his squad, like any good manager. 5-4-1 is not the way for Man United and never will be.
So he should adapt to the squad, a squad that we all agree is shite and needs replacing?

As Amorim himself has said, if we do that we'll only find ourselves in the same position next season. But unfortunately for him too many fans lack patience

Nearly half our goals this season have been conceded from set pieces we generally need to get to the bottom of what the feck is happening

We cannot defend corners it’s a fecking joke

He’s got a bunch of brainless morons in this squad. I hope the club back him & realise this squad is rotten & needs an overhaul.

Things can't continue like this surely we're all in agreement? Wolves move to within a few points of us if they win here. The list of teams worse than us in this league is getting short.
We are not in agreement. Most of the forum don't think amorim is responsible for results until he has signed a whole new team.

No new manager bounce for this dood then.

He better start coaching fast or we know how this is going to end.

We need to push through and get rid of the negative influences in the squad. That should be Bruno done now too. He can’t be relied upon and should join the horrendous examples in leaving the club.

Push through the cleanse, root out all the rot. Brutal and no mercy.

Because for all his faults, Casemiro is our best player in both boxes when it comes to defending and attacking set pieces. No idea, why we ain’t playing him next to Ugarte as it’s not like Mainoo is doing anything.

He's in big big trouble. Anothr defeat now we have Newcastle, arsenal and Liverpool coming up. Will easily be 3 more defeats.

He looks no closer to sorting out this mess. Formation doesn't help us at all as it simply doesn't work with the players we have available and it nullifies most of our attacking players. He's also so young, I'm not sure he has the experience to sort this out.

No he isn't.

I’m loving all this talk about replacing squads and making transfers when we have feck all money to do so and will probably manage a few transfers at best. He will need to get the best out of the majority of the current players.

Quality control
Fantastic we have once again gone chasing after the latest hipster coach from a mediocre league and it's back fired again.

Sorry but we need to stop acting like every manager that comes in is some kind untouchable God, he is not good enough, just like ten hag. Should have went for proper proven manager like emery, no brainer.

Well there's a lot who still put Onana as 'keep' in their list, you'd be surprised how many terrible players people still want to keep. I think the higher ups are probably on the same page. Can't see a massive overhaul quickly, it'll be spooky for 2-3 seasons by which Amorim will get sacked

Is he out of his depth in this league?
I know he gives a good chat and all that, charming etc2, but really is he now finding out how impossible the job is?

I don't think he survives this season if keeps getting poor results, I don't think it's an indication of him being a poor coach / manager either but perhaps he's the manager who should have come after another who's able to steady the ship so to speak.

Heard Liverpool passed on hiring him due to uncertainty in their squad's feasibility for the system and that caution is the very issue United are having right now.

It's a broken squad.

Have a feeling he’ll come up short here. Then, by way of some decently successful intermediate gig, end up with a long and prosperous reign at City.

I think it's admirable to try and use his system but he needs to stop this formation. It's not working with these bunch of players and we've got two thirds of the season remaining. We would finish 8th-10th with the old tactics. We may get dragged into a relegation battle at it is.

This 100%.
Should have gone for Tuchel.

Not his fault but this team is not set up for his tactics. He doesn't have the players. He either needs to adjust the tactics or management has to realize they fecked up. Maybe Amorim was too early for us. We needed Sean Dyche to stop leaking goals first. Joking about Dyche obviously but not joking in terms of what needed to be fixed.

Amorim is either Inflexible, a one trick pony or just naive. Game after game we never look like scoring and just get beat by shit teams due to his formation. Gonna be in a relegation fight real soon
