Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Didn't know much about this guy, but extremely impressed so far. This was a very, very good performance considering where we're coming from. We finally look like a team again.

Was certain we can get back into the game at 0-3. That's one of many positives from tonight. Main one, us being a better team overall.

This shape opens so many possibilities while attacking, really like what am seeing.

Some poor lineup choices today, a bit to defensive for me and with Antony starting as a 10 we hade no real fire power for half the game. But it is what it is, the squad is piss poor.

If he had of started with those he ended up subbing on, and then taking them off later, I think we'd have won. Spurs were woeful, let's be honest Martinez and the keeper gifted them.

What?? He was clearly fouled. What do you expect him to catch it with if the forward bats his arm away at the last second?

Nonsense. It was shite keeping. He flapped and fell into his goal. Weak keeping.

Onana and Evan’s start and we win that. Just feels like a silly game to lose.

It must be really annoying to be trying everything to make it right and have your team set up to win games and then every single week have players dropping clangers.

The man has transformed us from absolute garbage to a semi-functional football team. I vaguely remember Liverpool being similar when Klopp started. I'm sure we'll weed out the mistakes in time but, for now, its inevitable they'll continue to happen.

If you think that's a foul you're a bit of a softie. If we're giving those as fouls now we might as well make it a no contact sport. The keeper was pathetically weak, and did pretty much everything wrong all night.
He's trying to raise his arms and the opponent pulls his arm down. Of course it's a foul.

We’re just much better all round now at the footballing stuff. Even this soon:
I know we’re gonna lose a lot of games but if we lose them putting in a shift and looking the better team most of the game, I’m sure all untied fans will be happy to ride it out until he can start replacing the trash in the side.

I think he will be really frustrated and downcast at the quality of squad he has available to him.

These individual errors will not stop , it is inherit in these players, it is what they are and what they have been since they came here.

He will be the latest manager to tell the board that a complete overhaul of the squad is needed.

Ye the shape is very very good. A few signings will take us up a level. A LWB needs to be a priority.

True. But he’s also got a tune out of these players. We’re seeing a style and we’re dominating games away from home. Not like the previous manager.

It wouldn't matter if he'd thrown 5 into his own net before that, of course it's a foul. I have no idea what you saw.

It wasn't great but I think there were positives there. I do think we will go on a run and play some good football towards the end of the season, when the fixture list calms down.

Not perfect by any means but we're seeing signs.

He did pulled his arm down. Tbf, he probably saved him from even bigger embarrassment as he was positionally all wrong and the ball would most likely go in anyway.

He’s absolutely the man. If he can make us play like that with this shower of shite then I can only imagine what’s in store for us with better players and time on the training ground. Shades of Klopp’s start at Liverpool. Let him fix this and we’ll be grand.

Nope. The squad has constantly been changing anyway. It's not inherent in the players, they just need competent and consistent coaching and then of course some squad improvements in the transfer market. "Complete overhaul" is a fool's errand.

This is probably the most optimistic I've been of any post Fergie manager. It feels like the only thing that could stop him turning things around is if we continue to fail in the transfer market.

We can only hope INEOS target the right players in the coming windows.

Exactly this and I'm shit scared of it.

Stop the brain farts, get some good signings, and you'll see the progress with him
We look a different team under him despite the standard of our squad.

Onana and Evan’s start and we win that. Just feels like a silly game to lose.

He goes up for an easy catch with 2 hands. But the forward comes flying in and knocks one arm away at the last second. He has zero chance to react. Seriously, I don't know how you can doubt that that's a foul.

Inacio in place of Martinez and Reis in place of Dalot and that's a comfortable win for us tonight. No issue with the system, the personnel just isn't there yet.

We did play well with the ball and were the better team, that’s why it’s so frustrating. No way we should be losing to that lot.

Just start Evans, Onana and Amad. He is full of energy. No need to handicap yourself needlessly. It would have been an easy win tonight.

It's clearly not just that. Allowing other players to get used to this style in actual game is just as vital especially when the game in question isn't that important.

Despite the individual mistakes. These players are controlling and dominating games away to city and spurs now. Massive improvement

Aye, it's the mistakes, a lot of these players just make stupid errors way too often. If players just aren't able to cut losses in concentration out of their game. There's only one thing to with them.

Because a strong keeper doesn’t let that happen. He comes out and gets the ball and if the player gets in the way, too bad. He is way too soft and timid and pays for it.

This. We were badly let down by individual errors and lack of quality depth up front.
He's bang on with his subs and they seem to impact the game straight away.

Hopefully the last time we see Bayinder under this manager...

Do 7 in every 1000 corners go in like that? I don't know, suppose it's one of the easiest ones to attribute xG to. Just a case of looking it up statistically like they do for penalties taken vs scored and getting the xG for them.

I am amazed he has managed to make us look this good in such a short span without much training. Ten hag was really bad like honestly.

It’s refreshing to see how subs under him actually make a positive impact on the team. He isn’t just arbitrarily chucking players on at set points in the game just because.

It doesn't matter how strong you are if someone pushes down on your arm as you're about to catch the ball.

Amorim paid the price for too much experimenting and too much trust in players that the football suits should have told him have no chance here. Disappointed because I think Spurs weren't very good. Oh well. Let's hope the tinkering stops soon.
