Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

He was very lucky today but I love his trust in Amad and general approach to building this team back up. I do want to see us go for games more though - today was a very fortunate win and we'll take it all day long as we build.
Damn, that broken hearted about ETH?

It's more just the luck of our opponents faltering with unforced errors than it is us actually creating enough. Bruno's opportunity was certainly a big one, but I feel we could have done more to put City to the sword. The game felt like a draw would have been a fair result, we got lucky Amad created a moment of magic and it's not sustainable as an approach going forward.

We'll need to build with more probing attacks than what we've showed today, vs Arsenal, Forrest, Ipswich and in Europe.
"Not sustainable as an approach"? Look at you being all critical about a manager

Laughable stuff. Get over it, Ten Hag was horrible and Amorim is the real deal.

Typical Amorim game. Reminds me of some of our late scoring games against Benfica and Porto

Some marginalized/useless players are resurrected under him: obviously Amad, and it seems like Maguire and Antony are next.

Why are you expecting us to be the finished article? This is still very early days.

So refreshing that there finally looks to be some sort of plan in games. If Amorim can sort out the mostly toothless attack (and stop us conceding so easily from corners) we might actually have something resembling a decent side.

Amad and Antony seem to have chemistry/some understanding building between them so wouldn't be against this...

Maguire has also been playing very solidly and confidently

Not that many great chances created but UTD had the better of them. But watch pundits and the media peddle a lazy narrative that City deserved but threw it away. When from chances created this was the right result. At worse UTD deserved a draw

I think both are true. We were slightly better but don't think we did enough to win, and City also threw it away.

The idea that 1-0 City would have somehow been a fair result though is absolute nonsense. Their goal was a fluke and they created nothing else.

Hes brilliant. How often have we ever gone away to a big team and looked composed on the ball. Better xG, pretty much 50:50 with the ball, better chances.

Well deserved win, and people are here talking about "very lucky"

we were the better side and even got robbed of a penalty

We did enough to win give that we, you know, won.

I thought our pressing was on point today. We cut off passing lanes and close down players intelligently. Maguire physicality was a big plus against Haaland who hardly got a sniff. It's been a long time we have a tactically astute manager

Are you both broken? Youre evidently more obsessed with Ten Hag than I was accused of

Dig up my posts about Amorim and try not to get all sensitive.

Im unsure where Ive even insinuated it. This City side are utter wank and you can take a look at Spurs to see how other mediocre teams can destroy them. All im saying is I want to see us build with more probing attacks now, and that the win felt fortunate given how the last minutes went.

Literally none of this is contraversial.

Thrilled with the 3 points though, before some posters start crying about something else (not you, the posters above)

Imagine being defensive/fan of a such a boring character as ETH. Blimey!

Another mixed game where we were a bit crap in the first half but as soon we started taking some risks in the 2nd half we were clearly the better team and deserved our win. Amad best player on the pitch by a country mile and deservedly MOTM.

Not sure why we didn't start the game that way as City were clearly there for the taking. Feels like this lot needs to go down a goal to get some intensity in their game. Couple of things that irk me and I hope Amorim touches upon with the squad :

Bruno constantly misplacing passes and then missing a glorious chance to get us level. I know he scored but as a captain, in such a big game there's no excuses for him to miss that kind of chance and put in that performance.

I've supported Zirkzee a fair bit but both him and Bruno were a bunch of buffoons for not giving Amad any option to pass in the box when he won the penalty. Any player with a brain would be busting a gut to get into the box to give a passing option.

Terrible post. We deserved to win.

This win is massive for him especially with the team exclusion for two certain manchilds. Now he can justifiably say get in line or get out because he can win big games without them.

Terrible post. We deserved to win.
Fine, and the stats reflect that. I felt the win was fortunate given how the last minutes went, we capitalised on the mistakes through and that means something in itself.

I just wish we can have posters not be dicks when someone has a different opinions and make up theories that Im against our manager.

Don't forget Licha, man
Yep, he was brilliant and got the assist. City were rocked at that stage and he played it more or less to perfection.

Not many defenders out there who can do that and have that awareness.

You clearly seem to be

You’re in here whinging after we’ve just beaten City at the Etihad with two late goals. You sound annoyed.

There are clear signs of progress in terms of pressing, possession and organisation. A long way to go but clear signs. And what a result. And WHAT A PLAYER!
