Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Irrespective of what happens today Rubin is the 1st manager who has laid down the law with the players since Sir Alex and obviously has the backing of SJR
Ten Hag did a fair amount of laying down the law. He managed Ronaldo out of the club, exiled Sancho, made Martial train in isolation, and dropped Rashford for being unprofessional.

Sadly, it didn't seem to do much good.

I'd need to look at the ETH vs Sancho thread.

But I am fairly sure there was a lot of disagreement about it. Maybe it was a vocal majority who popped in everytime he had a good 5 minutes for Dortmund.

No there was not, most people supported it. If anything, people wanted more with the likes of Rashford as well.

Hindsight vision is 2020. If ETH had succeeded, people on here won't be trying to point it out to make it look like an unpopular decision. He did so rightly and Amorim is doing same rightly, fail or succeed... drop all wasters.

This time I think is different because of the people behind the manager

He definitely doesn’t deserve to start. Leaving him out of the squad entirely is a big call. Just wondering what that’s all about. It’s a very unusual thing to happen.
Should've happened long ago
There is clearly something wrong with Rashford this season

A pornstar recently revealed that she received a DM from rashford. Of course nothing is verified, but this lady is American and hasn’t the faintest clue about “soccer”.

Just the tip of the iceberg if you ask me. Plenty going on with rashy.

He has done all the right things thus far, our squad is an utter fecking mess. All the talk about "cultural reboot" under Ole was complete nonsense. We just pandered more and more to these cnuts and that's the reason we find ourselves in current state.

Absolutely the right call by him. Rashford needs binning asap and if Garnacho doesn't get his act together pronto, bin him in the summer too.

Players who don't act professionally need selling. The vast vast vast majority of players who leave United never play for a larger team and never earn more. For too many years, any player who shows a shred of talent of ability to change a game has been treated as untouchable and their shit behaviour tolerated. We've given Rashford a contract that implies hes absolutely world class. Hes on a contract that Salah would be happy with and hes about 1/4 of the player.

The sooner players are put back in their box the better.

Anyone who agreed with Sancho over ETH needs their head examined. Didn't apply himself and then tried to turn the fans against the manager for getting called out. So glad the lazy fecker is gone.

United in a nutshell: sucking in defending corners, and also sucking in taking them.

City's players coming alive against us, he's doing and saying the right things but he also needs results. We are losing games and conceding from the same ariel mistakes.

There’s an obsession with playing back passes as much as possible to kill any momentum.

We create so many opportunities out of nothing for the opposition team.

I knew that was going in the second Bruno turned a straightforward recycling of possession into almost a yellow card.

The two goals against Arsenal were similar. Just nothing mistakes up the pitch.

For me, should have kept Ruud this season and given it to Amorim at the end.
No, I'd rather Amorim now.

In fairness, I'm not yet seeing it with Amorim but no reason to do another Ole for however long.

We will obviously get better with some new additions in the summer but until then can we stop losing games in pathetic fashion at least please?

In fairness to Amorim he's constantly and openly telling pressers that we need to be faster and make more of our attacks. However, a big part of his job is going to make us attack like we mean it.

I was in favor of allowing Ruud to remain as caretaker as well, but would’ve been under no illusions we would be any better than we are under Amorim. At least with a new long term manager, Amorim can gradually teach the players his tactics, then make the appropriate buys in the summer to make a proper run next season.

I am starting to feel sorry for Amorim. Despite his evident talent and potential as a manager, it seems hes facing challenges right from the start at United.

We're terrible at defending set pieces and not creative enough forward, but long term I'm encouraged by the fact we've got a bit more control in these games. It's a really similar game to the Arsenal one.

I'm optimistic for you guys. Better players plus more time for Amorim and you will be a strong side next season. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if you finish this season strongly, if it wasn't for the mediocre squad.

Amorim might be your best signing of the past decade.
