Not a bad guy (Whale Killer)
Is he hardworking enough though? Pressing and tracking back?A player like Eze at no 10 would seriously improve our attacking game.

I’m just questioning why a lot of people have him in their line ups despite seeing him play many minutes and the times we have seen him he hasn’t done much to justify starting.
Yeah we're currently relying too much on hard work to get results. The ball needs to come out of the defense much faster than it does currently. Our keeper & defenders ponder too much in the ball.
A question for your self. Tell me a time he’s done something good then. We? Or just you?
I am still convinced he is the right man and I really don’t think some of these players will get away with the poor performances they are serving up due to lack of effort and commitment.
The system is taking shape and everyone can see the areas we need to improve are primarily the wing backs. Amad has done well at RWB but is more suited as a 10. We will also need good cover at WB due to the demands of the role.
I do think when January arrives we may see some incomings but they will be low key and possibly only short term stepping stones.
When the schedule clears up a bit his preferred 11 will become obvious and this will lead to an upturn in results and performance as team cohesion will rapidly improve. It’s frustrating to see the combinations of lack of desire and intelligence in some players it must by infuriating for Amorim. He’s not exactly reinventing the wheel telling them to sprint forward and back.
It’s going to be a hard watch for us but if you have watched the games over the last few years you will see the seeds have been planted.
Not sure if your post is ironie or not.Is he hardworking enough though? Pressing and tracking back?
N/AYeah we're currently relying too much on hard work to get results.
Our general play has improved but we're way too slow so we're not scoring unless it's a set piece or a turnover currently. Barely any goals from our dominance in possession.
That to me is why it seems like Rashford and Garnacho have dipped in performances. Once we can manage to get the patterns right I expect we'll see more goals like Hojlund's first against Forest and we'll see better performances from the players in the 2 behind the striker.
Currently we've not really gotten enough out of those roles. Every other position except LWB I'm seeing good performances more often.
In the Liverpool game today, after an early red card to Robertson they switched to a back 3 flawlessly. This included moving CM Gravenberch to CB.Is it fair to say it was always going to be the set up at the back that takes the longest to adapt to in terms of system?
Erm they dropped points in the title raceIn the Liverpool game today, after an early red card to Robertson they switched to a back 3 flawlessly. This included moving CM Gravenberch to CB.
So why does it take us so long to adapt?
But they did so flawlessly.Erm they dropped points in the title race
But they did so flawlessly.
True. But down 1-0 then went down to 10 men yet still dominated the game. I imagine they’re pleased with the result.Erm they dropped points in the title race
I think it has everything to do with confidence. They are top of the table, they have players who can change the game and their opponent is cautious. If they have a man down to City or Arsenal, I doubt they can dominate. If we went down a player, everyone will dominate us. These players are mentally weak and will find every excuse to lose, they are not winners. Do you see a winner in Rashford? Never in a million year, he just doesn't have it in him to proof everyone wrong.True. But down 1-0 then went down to 10 men yet still dominated the game. I imagine they’re pleased with the result.
Credit where it's due. They're the best team in Europe right now. Top of both the Premier and Champs league. In the Liverpool game today, after an early red card to Robertson they switched to a back 3 flawlessly. This included moving CM Gravenberch to CB.

Great observation. Coasted in Palace’s biggest game of the season. Is he hardworking enough though? Pressing and tracking back?
Irrespective of what happens today Rubin is the 1st manager who has laid down the law with the players since Sir Alex and obviously has the backing of SJRRefreshing to have a Manager that talks the talk but walks the walk.
And where has flair players gotten us this past decade? We’ve had the likes of Pogba, Rashford, Garnacho etc. I’d rather have Rooney type players who are very good and give everything to the team rather than Pogba type “flair” players who show up like once in 3 weeks. Not sure if your post is ironie or not.
But I really start to dislike this current development that every offensive player needs to "work hard and tracking back". I think it takes out the flair of the players more and more.
Of course I'm aware that these things are important nowadays and Amorim wants his players to run like "mad dogs". Nothing against that, its required probably to win the PL.
But still I would prefer a world where flair players would have more freedom again.

They weren’t.Crucially I think he’s being backed by Berrada, Wilcox and INEOS for the dropping of Rashford and Garnacho. I don’t think the Glazers would have been supportive as those two players are revenue generators in their eyes.
No he wasn't. Overwhelmingly he was supported in here for that decision.ETH did it with Sancho and was roundly criticised for it.
Not by me he wasn't. I'll side with any manager who drops wasters like Sancho and Rashford, regardless of my opinion on the managerETH did it with Sancho and was roundly criticised for it.
Why even lie about this?ETH did it with Sancho and was roundly criticised for it.
