Not sure it’ll catch on

I need to get myself a Five Zirkzees christmas jumperHe's right. We spend most of the time singing about ex players rather than current players too. Don't mind singing about the legends but could a bit more of our players now
We don't really like our players here but we do adore our coaches.Apparently Ruben Amorim doesn't like his chant. Says that he's just the coach, that supporters should sing about the players and the club.

It was obviously a very good decision. But I think it's not a high level management, any FIFA player would have done the same - put players in their best position and see them shineHe understands the player’s strengths and weaknesses in a way Ten Hag never did in 2.5 years and he’s only been here 3 weeks.
ETH was foolish, he consistently put players in positions where they could struggle. Amorim’s reasoning for playing Zirkzee ahead of Hojlund yesterday was high level management.
You can tell he watched a shit load of our games prior to joining and already knew what changes he had in store for each player. Nothing like when the clown Moyes joined and when asked about Chicharito said “they tell me here he’s a good player”.
Even for the players like Dalot, Amad, Mazraoui and Bruno that are playing really different roles. He has belief in them that they can do what he wants.

Common sense has been rare for us I know. So many head scratchers by previous managers. Playing a defensive striker in Weghorst when we only had a few goal scorers was the most confusing one. Although to be fair at the time some of us thought it was a genius move.
Almost all the players are getting rotated and those two are the only ones we have for that more defensive role in midfield. As such they've been rotating with each other, which makes perfect sense for most opposition. One plays, one gets rested (and does more intense training), then they swap for the next match.I still don't understand why he's reluctant to have Case - Ugarte in midfield. Case is pretty creative when he's not being a sole DM. Those games under RVN, he and Ugarte looked really solid providing platform and linking to attack.
This is from last weekEvery day there seems to be another interview. It's absurd.
Get in line! Can't help it. I adore him.
SAF could get pretty emotional he turned red but he did it in the right moments. I hope he has it in him as well. Players these days tend to be more disrespectful towards a manager if he's failing/not as prestigious as the players.
Good intention.Apparently Ruben Amorim doesn't like his chant. Says that he's just the coach, that supporters should sing about the players and the club.

The wingback position is crucial in Amorim 3-4-3 system. Amad is nailed on at right wingback and likely the first name on Amorim team sheet. But Luke Shaw is nearing 30 and prone to injuries. If we aim to improve and be genuinely competitive under Amorim, we cannot rely on Shaw as our primary option. He would either become an expensive backup or need to be moved on during the summer transfer window. Signing a top quality left wingback in the summer will be a key priority for United and Amorim.
I know....He says all the right things but we should not be carried away with words. He is clearly very good at communicating and comes across really well.
At the end of the day, you are judged on the pitch and how you perform in the big games is also a massive factor.
Started of well but lots to improve on.
Pfft! Does it really make it more bearable if you spend the whole time hedging your bets? It means you don't get to fully enjoy anything for ages as even if he does take us back to the top it'll still take years. Go all in! If it falls apart well feck it that's what life is about. Enjoy the ride. We're fans. We're not supposed to be all sensible and cautious.I know....
It really feels different this time...I do want to get on the Amorim train but been burnt far too often so whilst I am fully supporting him ..I am holding a little back.
But I thought the only possible way to talk to the press is be incredibly dull, say nothing of substance and pick random fights with no mark journosEven though he doesn’t mean it, it just feels like these are all truthful digs at Erik. Haha. Love see him talk like this and being so open.

True. But even Ole and ETH won a few of these. I think we’d all like to see decent performances in these games whether we win or lose. If we win whilst playing good football against the better teams then it’s a bonus. We won some under Ole and ETH whilst not playing the best football.Yep, whilst I think its different, I think he could be the one. He hasn't been here long and has established a connection with the players, you see players smiling and laughing post games.
Obviously we have only just began his reign so alot to see but come mid January, there will be strong opinions on both sides about him.
He faces 5 big games in this period and he has to show he is capable of winning a few of these games.

You may be right, aimless may have been harsh.I think we have a very drastically different definition of "aimlessly" if that's what you saw. I saw the CBs were passing around trying to find space either in behind (which we exploited on both sides a couple of times, wide CB to WB) or to shepherd the Everton players to one side of the pitch and quickly switching to the other (usually from left to right with Amad as the receiver).
I really do not think we should be launching attacks just for the sake of launching attacks, that's what caused ETH's back and forth tennis match style games
And this isn't really anything special, most elite teams that utilises patient build up play would pass around the backline with very similar pacing. It ain't route one football
Yeah, but thats what buys you time as a manager. ETH beat Liverpool, Arsenal and City in his first season which bought him time.
The performances were also good. There were also times under Ole, we had good performances and results vs the big teams.
As a Manutd manager, you have to be winning those games, otherwise the pressure mounts.

It'll be interesting to see what he does against Arsenal, as playing both of them may be the best option against top teams. Ugarte is a certainty, so it'll be either Bruno beside him or Casemiro while Bruno plays further forward.
The performances were okay. The Liverpool game probably the only one I would say stood out as memorable, and it wasn't memorable because we were all of a sudden amazing, but because of the 2 previous bad results and the subsequent post game cross country session he had them doing.
The 7-0 on the other hand, that's memorable.
If we lose but the team put in effort and a good performance then it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. The system needs to be worked on week in week out and that time includes in game.
