Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Almost everyone talk about Bruno's body language when his game is not going well...
Bur look at Amorim's body language, since he joined as "Manchester United Head Coach" ! I hope than I'm bad prophet, and he will lead us back into the glory days, but I'm just not seeing it right now.
Come the feck on man. This is a silly post.

That was promising. Should have won 6-2. Everton will be harder but we need another win.

It's sounds like he doesn't really see Bruno as a no.10 in this system.

So refreshing to hear his post match interviews. Direct, honest and with a bit of charisma.

I think he's intentionally trying to be a bit reserved in the beginning. It's almost like a new relationship where you take your time before feeling comfortable in expressing yourself.

He's doing well, the team settled after a scare but no panic. There's so much to work on with this group, I see Amorim succeeding at the club with his vision, active instructions and way with the players.

We finally have a football coach.

He wasn't lying when he said you would see an identity. He's done it in two games.

Makes you realise how shite the likes of Ole, Ten Hag were.

Mount's a better option and fits what he wants so much more than Bruno does.
I agree. It will be interesting to see how he uses Amad when everyone is back for and whether he will be put into one of those positions. Similarly, I'm intrigued about the role of Kobbie.

Ruben has said in his post match interview, he doesn’t know the players and how they’ll fit into how he’d like to play.
Clearly they’re all being evaluated, with the rotation and switching formation.

listening to him speak there I was getting goose-bumps thinking this could be the one

New tactics are exiting can clearly see his hand, I know we look dysfunctional at the moment but if/when it clicks it'll be worldclass. He looks confident enough to persist with the system which gives me hope.

No matter how poor the results get dont abandon the idea, change the players and bring new ones to fit the system is the way to go back to where we belong.

Seems very likeable and needs to be given a chance, just wish they wouldn't put the cameras on Fergie every time Utd concede.

Anyone just see his interview on TNT on the pitch with their talking heads inc Hargreaves?

The openness in his conversation is breathtaking

Everton will be a tougher test than Ipswich or Bodo let's see how we do.

I just like how he's is always willing to try things: players, formations, tactics. And that in just 90 min. Such a refreshing change from the technocrat that was ETH. Eventually he will settle on a team, formation etc but he's learning each players strength during games and I'm sure he's already worked out those that have no future!

I’m happy he’s actually implementing a system. I’m fine with teething problems as the players figure out how to take up positions in the new setup. But feck sake, our players getting gassed after 75min just show how we have allowed our game intensity to drop in recent years.

Always a newbie, almost always a newbie.

Really wish we could all remember his words about short term pain when judging players for the next while. Our manager expects mistakes and for them to struggle at times but here are so many writing so many of them as finished and sold in the summer after 2 games.

Edit- I’ve been guilty of it too in the match day threads.

I tink you will see an idea...

Feel he's just assessing his players at the moment and you will see over the coming weeks certain players will be totally frozen out.

Suspect, Antony, Eriksen and Zirskee are already the most likely candidates and don't know why but I think he may favour Luke Shaw over Martinez.

Gonna be interesting when Yoro gets into the 11. Maz as been brilliant there the last 2 games and Amorim as seemed to prefer an attack minded RWB with the LWB being the defensive player.

Really early doors and won't judge him till the end of the season.

Good things

1. Early goals, looks like we're on it from early on, took forever to score in games under Ten Hag
2. Attack, attack, attack, we're pressing higher, creating more chances. I actually don't mind conceding as long as we score and entertain
3. He has a realistic aura that previous managers didn't have. Looks angry at times, knows a lot has to change and seems a nice coach but not too nice.
4. Seems to make personnel and tactical changes pretty quickly when needed.

Bad things

1. We're not controlling games, that will take time but this needs to change fast.
2. Shaw and Casemiro was madness at the end. Got away with that.

I hope he plays the likes of Garnacho, Diallo, Ugarte, Hojlund and Mainoo.

Players like Rashford, Antony, Casemiro and Mount shouldn't be starting. (People on here see a lot more in Mount than I do. He presses a bit but looks like a 2nd Van der Beek to me)

I think I'm starting to see the benefits of 3-4-3... Not necessarily based on the football itself, but it is so useful for 2 reasons:

1. It forces every player apart from the goalkeeper and CF to be prepared to change role and position at any time. You can no longer just be a CB. You might have to play LCB or RCB. As might the fullbacks/wingbacks. And the same principle is true for the CMs, AMs and wingers. And this will undoubtedly turn them into better footballers.

2. Because of the reason above we are far more prepared to deal with injuries! This is a HUGE bonus for us given our history.
