That Times interview was interesting. He's had several digs at LVG using SAF/Wenger as examples of people and top managers which he has almost vaguely hinted LVG is not.
It's really hard to find players as classy as him in this day and age. Total class act.
LVG shouldn't have let him go until we found a replacement for him. He could still guarantee you 10-15 goals a season and some great hold-up play and first touch and intelligence. We should have kept him for one more year unless we signed a Cavani/Bale/Muller/Lacazette/Benzema. The EURO would have kept him motivated.

Cant believe Fenerbahce got knocked out their team is pretty solid on paper. Even without RVP I thought they would win both legs comfortably but judging by the scoreline they got smashed tonight. That being said shakhtar are no donkeys.

Just watched last 15 mins, it was like watching english 3rd league, nice header from RVP but if RVP and Nani don't shine at that level we were totally right to sell them.
Can't agree more! RvP has wanted to stay so it's a no brainer. It was not a situation where he wanted to leave and gave up on us. All hes asking was give him a honest chance. He can execute some magic and turn a draw to a win, or a loss to a win. I miss him!
he wanted to stay and play, with his terrible stamina he could only last for about 30 minutes so he wouldn't be given much gametime. he decided to leave as he was probably told that he will be rooney's back up... We've seen enough games to justify that Rooney and RVP are utter shit together on the pitch. Fenerbahce is RVP's level. I am glad Januzaj will get his minutes
