I really like his use of ass.
Yup. Even Martial got potential. It's always the potential
Gee, if you think Hojlund has a poor touch, dread to think what your view is of Rashford, whose first touch is mostly as delicate as a hippo.
What strikers?I'm not saying he is only slightly more speedy than Evans or Maguire, I'm comparing him to other strikers.
What strikers?
He's significantly faster than Ruud ever was, and he's competing with Rashford and Garnacho as the fastest player in the current squad. If I had to pick one I'd say he's probably the fastest.
I genuinely think you may have sight issues.I like Hojlund and I don't think he is average, but his speed is just above average, and his power is just enough for him to be a success in the Premiership.

I like Hojlund and I don't think he is average, but his speed is just above average, and his power is just enough for him to be a success in the Premiership. He is less fast and less imposing than van Nistelrooy was and the league has gotten much more frantic since then. I do think though, that Hojlund will be our top goalscorer next season.
Ye you’re right but from what we’ve seen so far he’s got a lot of potential and still a lot to give. Daniel James wasn’t 20 years old though. Hojlund has been unlucky though so far in the fact that every time he’s scored we’ve lost the game so it feels like he hasn’t contributed as much. Not his biggest fan? Barely knew him last month.
Look. I'm not hating or anything, just let's wait and see how he's doing before praising him to the moon.
Even Daniel James looks great in his first 5 games everyone wanna get credit for finding him. Now nobody wants to be associated with buying him.
Let's just wait. We've been this road so many times
In the last few games, I've seen a few instances where he is just off his man and suddenly decides to go full pelt. A good pass, and he is in.
He's been ignored every time.
EtH needs to sit the team down like Fergie did for RVP. "If you don't pass to him, you're not playing".
This is either a troll post, or you haven't read / seen anything. He is already the 4th fastest player this season according to official premier league stats. And RVN (as great as he was) never even got close to running 35 km/h.
The power isn't measurable (though you'd have to be trolling with that take), but the speed very much is, and what you are saying is just factually wrong.
Again, receiving a ball with a defender on your back is a ridiculously hard skill that even the best in the world at it like Lewandowski, Ibra, Giroud and Dzeko took til their early-mid 20s to really hone and have any real impact in big leagues. Hojlund is a few seasons ahead of all of them.I'm not impressed with his first touch though, hopefully he can improve on it. There are times when he tries to receive a pass and he has to then chase after the ball because his touch just screwed him up
Why do people just make shit up?I like Hojlund and I don't think he is average, but his speed is just above average, and his power is just enough for him to be a success in the Premiership. Are Lukaku comparisons out of pocket?

He hit 36.44 against Galatasaray, the highest in the league a few weeks ago was Dominic Solanke at 36.10 km/h. If you also check top speeds every season 36.44 is about enough to get you in the top 10 fastest players in the league. He's also a tiny bit taller than RVN and way more built at his age than RVN was at a similar age playing for Den Bosch - and even when he joined us at 25 he was hardly built.
Not to mention that those aren't necessarily while carrying the ball. The Premier League has a list of fastest sprints ever recorded (Traore features twice!).
36.44kph would be very close to the fastest ever.

I do believe Kyle Walker hit 37 in one match! The Premier League has a list of fastest sprints ever recorded (Traore features twice!).

The tweet suggests that those are the stats for that specific run and goal, especially considering the distance stat.I’d assumed that was his highest speed over the course of the game. Was it really while dribbling? That’s fecking nuts!

Okay, I'm just surprised he became so popular in such a short amount of time. But perhaps that is an understandably human reaction.

Nothing to do with how popular he is or isn't. You just said he was average speed wise and physically, which is factually wrong no matter which way you look at it, are you surprised people are correcting you when you really did make stuff up because it sounds like you've never seen himOkay, I'm just surprised he became so popular in such a short amount of time. Considering he came in injured, didn't have a preseason, walked in to an disfunctional injury ravaged side to a new faster paced league, I think he is doing pretty good actually. He already had a disallowed goal and if it weren't for Rashford being selfish, he would have another 2-3 goals probably. He looks good, unfortunately he's in a struggling side.
If he we was firing he'd have 5 or 6 goals already and we'd be lording him. He's got 3, not exactly a terrible return is it.
