What we need badly is a weeks rest, but we wont get one until after christmas.
Let's see where we stand at around 25 fixtures before we start hysterically jumping off the ship.
Drop Ibra despite generally playing really well, scoring 3 in his last 2 starts, and United only seeming to create chances when he's on the pitch in favor of a 19 year old who can't seem to control a ball properly these days? The amount this kid gets overrated just because he came through the youth academy is ridiculous, it really is. Sure he has potential, but currently, he is mostly just pace. Pace and little else.I'd like to see the following team ( considering injuries and knocks):
De gea
Valencia Jones blind Shaw
Bastian
Pogba mata
MKH (right wing) martial (left wing)
Rashford
Time to drop ibra he's tired and needs a long rest this winter. Rashford had all the tools to be a striker and is wasted on left wing.
Bastian is a calming influence. can play the Carrick role when he is not injured.
It should be pogba or Ander. both together cannot play. pogba playing box to box to partner bastian when defending and mata when attacking. lingard can't start on this league. he's average.
PSV are bottom half championship quality - I don't know why anyone thought a performance like the one in midweek would have any relevance on today.
Pogba does all he can, but Rashford and Lingard are so average, Darmian is awful going forward and Valencia still can't put a decent ball in. With that complete lack of width, what do you do?
Pogba worked hard, Zlatan was mostly invisible, Herrera was ok, Jones looks good.. Rooney looked decent off the bench Miki was pretty invisible.. Almost forgot Mata played..
Mourinho also needs to step up and start leading the team, and stop being a child. The referees are not against him/us, we're just playing average football. A couple of wrong decisions (not that i thought there was much wrong today) don't matter if you're playing better..

Again the opposition GK was MOTM
Just one of those days. We are just unlucky with goals otherwise we playing well
Let's win the E.L.
Please tell me Sevilla can't drop down there.
So its his fault that our players keeps shiting their pants when they are in a good position to score?? Zlatan, Rashford and Lingard aren't good enough to start for team like United..
You having problems with your fonts dear?
Martial is basically the only other person that can handle playing up top properly, because he has the physical ability to go along with the technical ability. Rashford works hard and is quick... but that's about it these days. Martial needs to work harder though. Until then, Ibra will play every game and I have no problem with that because he offers a lot for us.Lately I've been thinking the same thing...he certainly not a winger but maybe still too young to lead United up top...think we need to start putting Martial up top and see if he can get back into form. Whatever the case may be, Ibra can't play every match.

My point was that you can't use the logic of "we spent x amount on players in the summer and should therefore expect a y return in terms of league position". That's obviously not how it works as we saw last year with Leicester. Its all about squad solidarity and cohesion; getting the players to play with a certain compounding confidence that builds over time. We are slowly building that and the results will follow.
And again... Why blame the coach for the players not finishing the chances they're creating?Setting up chances and finishing is as much a part of football as everything else. Other top 4 teams don't have better attackers but they are scoring for fun.

If we weren't creating anything and it was a system issue, then sure, I can see blaming the coach. But it's not.

Everyone misses chances. Shit happens. Ibra provides us with a lot because of his overall game, and we create so many more chances as a result. Having more and better chances will more often than not result in more goals.Ibrahimovic isn't playing well, he missed two chances that top class strikers would have buried today, and two chances that if Rashford would have missed I'd guess you'd have gone ballistic over.
I would hope not.Would Mourinho get credit if the players were finishing?
Lingard can be frustrating, he will miss the easy tap ins but score a screamer. He has to get some composure in front of goal. Our finishing needs to be better. I don't really get people having a go at Lingard he played better than Rashford ( and its not his fault he is not a winger)today he was unlucky not to score. I would imagine the players are very frustrated because they are playing teams off the park just not getting over the line. unfortunately we are closer on points to the Relegation zone than to the top of the league. Chin up it will all come together. And it's certainly more entertaining this year
Good thing you think so.
