Sub Casemiro for Kone after 65 mins.
A fecking traffic cone would have been better than Casemiro today.
It’s cowardly because the guy is on the bench for a reason and you just have to bring him on. Yes it probably wouldn’t have changed much but nobody is going to bawl kone out if he messes a few things up. feck me casemiro fecked everything up.
No it's not. Kone is only just recently starting to look comfortable in the youth teams. At some point we may be forced and these kids may surprise us, but anyone assuming they have looked like better options than the ones on the pitch is sorely mistaken.

The kids were on the bench to fill numbers and as no one got injured to force the manager's hand, they stayed there as expected

Should have subbed Rasmus and given 20min to chido, should have subbed one of delit/maguire for one of young cm to add some legs in midfield at the very least.
Hate to say it but utd are in relegation battle and amorim won’t get the time he needs to work and develop a team for next season

This is just effin appalling. This time next week we could well be four points behind David Moyes' Everton.

The years of mismanagement, the consistently poor strategic decisions are reaching their apogee under Ratcliffe and Amorim.

Genuinely despair.

12 losses this season. We've become accustomed to losing and throwing in the towel too easily. No winning mentality. 12 losses after 25 games is disgusting.
It’s hard to believe United could lose half of our league games. You’re right, losing is now a habit, we expect it. Everyone is so disheartened.

It is who he is and it’s not doing us any favours. I said a year ago it was time to move on from him, I still think this but we don’t have the money to so no point crying about it.
100% disagree about moving on. It's a flaw in his game but he's still far and away our most gifted technical player, one of the best chance creators in the Premier League, and somehow runs constantly for 90 minutes no matter how many games he plays and never gets injured. It's one thing to think he has parts of his games that are frustrating, quite another to think we'd be better without him. Especially THIS team.

I know the bench was young and inexperienced, I know we don’t want to ruin these kids but we look fecked and bringing Obi on with a couple of minutes was pointless. Amorim is making some odd decisions in my opinion.

You can’t be totally risk adverse you have to take risks especially when we’re in our situation.

Hojlund and zirkzee aren’t scoring, you’ve got a kid there who’s breaking records. Sometimes you got to roll the dice and every young player that makes an impact is given their debut by someone who is essentially taking a risk.

He could have come on and got something. It would have been a story. It would have been a special moment. Hojlund was never scoring in that game.
There is no better game to bring our youngsters in than this one. With so many injuries, no one will fault Amorim for trying out with the kids. This is on him.

The only thing I was looking forward to was a couple of the young lads getting on the pitch for a decent amount of time. Didn’t even get that.

There were loads of times where players ignored overlaps, played shit passes or picked the wrong options. The players are shit and are clearly nowhere near good enough, idea they did well makes no sense, errors, can’t hit a barn door. Tactics weren’t good either of course.

The players clearly aren't shit, thats just a lazy excuse. Is our squad as good as the top 4 teams? no. Are they as poor as the squads around us? no. Its such an easy excuse. Your job as a manager is to get the best out of the players. To make them better. He has literally made every player worse.

We can’t play them until the final. I’d be absolutely amazed if we get that far.
I thought we could get them from quarters on... but I just have a weird feeling. mind you, I keep thinking we'll start playing properly so maybe I should just have a large glass of wine!

Yet we kept hold of the fecking Manager, gave him 200m to spend despite the optics saying that we were incredibly fortunate to finish top half.

Unfortunately, what we're seeing now is several years of really bad decisions finally catching up.
Well nevermind the same people will be making all the decisions in the summer as well.

Hojlund and Zirkzee are so fecking infuriating to watch. Hojlund just goes thru motions, zero desire. Zirkzee must have been born with half a brain, haven’t seen a dumber United player in my lifetime.
How is zirkzee dumb?

I almost feel like I'm being vindictive against Onana at this point. Am I expecting too much for him to parry tame shots away from goal rather than straight back into opposing players.
There have been some that he's been blamed for harshly, but this one he definitely should have done better. Just seems to mostly fall to the side instead of pushing himself that way, which means he then can't get a strong enough hand on the ball to turn it away properly.

Technically I reckon it was possible but with where the teams qualified it’s just fallen that way.

Dogshit...but the table doesn't lie so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Change the coaches, change the manager, change the players...longball panic count-attacking football remains.

Today had nothing to do with manager or backroom staff when there was only 11 senior players fit, they start. simple.
Normally we could just change the manager etc. but if it is true there is no money to spend, then not sure if it would alter much anyway.

35 goals have been scored against us. The same as scored against City, who are in the top 4.
CIty have only lost four (or is it now five) games than us, which is mad. so many teams below the top two feckign about, this was the perfect season to get back in the CL. Except for the fact that we're shite!

I said it last game. We would be a better side with out Dalot.
The number of times he passed back when he had the wing wide open; so frustrating.
That was infuriating! He's on one setting, look for Bruno. How a professional full back can have so little trust in his crossing ability is mystifying.

Hojlund is just adding absolutely nothing to the team. I don't think I remember a player because so fecking useless.

How? What could he actually change with the players he had available?

If he'd thrown kids on and they got spanked you'd be moaning he shouldn't have put the kids in that position.

We weren't getting battered and were still creating chances to the end with the players on the pitch.

I swear some of you think we had yamal, Messi, Rodri, and Haaland on our bench today.
That is never how its worked. Whenever the kids have been given a chance they basically get a free pass. Our forwards were shit today. And exhausted. Amorim could have made some earlier changes and maybe we get back in. The side he put out today, playing 91 minutes, is going to get beaten by everyone. The kids might offer some ray of hope.

Agreed - and seeing how quickly members of this fan base turn on players, it only makes sense to be extra protective.

I though it was decent performance overall and we had the better of the 2nd half but couldnt do anything in the final 3rd because our number 9 is useless and leaves us with nothing in the middle of the opposition box.

Onana - 6, should have done better with the goal, but saved everything else
Mazraoui - 6, solid
Maguire - 6, solid
De Ligt - 6, solid
Dorgu - 6, decent
Dalot - 5, usual crapness
Casemiro - 3, shocking player now
Bruno - 3, gave the ball away every time
Garnacho - 5, should have done better with the chances he got
Zirkzee - 5, some nice control in tight places but makes frustrating choices at the times that matter
Hojlund - 3, lost nearly every duel

In the last 16 games we have combined scored 1 goal in the first half. Bruno pen vs Brighton. Absolutely shocking!

The issue was they started to look tired, then we have another hard game against a side who is actually in better shape than Spurs, so we have to hope somebody will be back fit for that game.

We are poor. But the team is still much better than we playing right now. We should not be number 15 with this squad.

What’s infuriating about Amorim is that he forces Obi to miss the U-18s match for a 2 minute cameo. Would’ve rather rode it out with some youth than go thru the pain of watching Casemiro, Zirkzee and Hojlund.

No one should have been rated higher than 5, with most being 3.

One thing for certain we will get bullied next week at Everton, Moyes is getting the best out of what they have , Beto has suddenly become a striker at last, we then have Ipswich at home Arsenal H and Leicester A. Come April can’t see us getting more than four points till end of season. So six points from Everton Ipswich, Leicester. Is a must.
