Philippe Coutinho

On his day one of the very best players in the league, can't help myself but I really like and rate this lad. Should he leave, Liverpool will be in a tough position trying to replace him.
I also wonder how would Valverde use him, this season Barca will play much different I think.

Would love it if Liverpool lost Coutinho.

Just to see my Liverpool supporting work colleagues face!

On form Coutinho is miles better than a run of the mill De Bruyne performance.

I'm not so sure. Look at the little run and spot in the 2nd assist De Bruyne had yesterday. Nothing terribly exciting or memorable but he does that over and over again. His decision-making and delivery in the final 3rd are miles beyond Coutinho's. Probably the best crosser in the league, even if he mostly only hits low ones.

As a United fan, I'd say that going into a game, I'd fear a very in-form Coutinho and De Bruyne having a regular month about the same.

Looks highly likely he will be off.

Win win for everyone. The American owners don't spend much this summer. Whilst Liverpool fans win the net spend trophy.

Losing Coutinho would be a huge blow. Comfortably there best player.

They'd become very reliant on Mane.

It looks incredibly likely that he's staying put and then i read this. What is the news now? Searched a bit and all i see is Jurgen Klopp saying the brazilian isn't for sale.

90m for Coutinho is simply a piss take but hey if they can get it Liverpool should take it and run

Unlike the sale of Suarez for example I genuinely don't see this making that much of a difference to them given he's not really that good

They aren't going to sell this summer.

What would they even do with 90 million quid?

Buy almost two good fullbacks?

He's not on Suarez's level mate. Or even close to it.

Suarez was hands down the best player in the league when he was there. Coutinho is too inconsistent, he never gets in the Team of the Season either which says a lot about his consistency.

Liverpool fans are having a laugh if they think he's worth 100+ plus. I'd say 60m.

Either way he'll be leaving. No player is gonna stick around a team that's winning no trophies.

It's a different market now and Suarez had a release clause.

Is he worth the same as other players quoted for similar amounts? No. But Barca is falling into 200M, naturally Liverpool will want more. Especially since transfer window only has a month left

Liverpool bid £60-70m for Keira according to many of the more reliable sources.

It looks like they are willing to go to £50m plus for a defender in Van Dijk.

Why on earth would they sell there best player for £90m when they want to improve their team?

Not happening.

This is the interesting disparity in the market. The top players who are sold don't go for that much more than the average ones. Look at Lukaku, only 25m more than Sigurdsson. In other words it's clubs like Liverpool in this case who get screwed when they sell one player and try to buy 3 with the money, especially since everyone now knows you're loaded. The same happened to Juventus last year.

If you are going to post crap, why not just post pictures after you take a dump, that way we don't have to waste time reading?

Would be funny for them to lose him with a few weeks before the season starts.

Not sure who they would try to replace him with.

Put it this way how many of the top 6 PL sides would Coutinho get into?

Chelsea? No not the way Conte lines them up
Spurs? No he's not better than Eriksen or Alli
City? No he's not better than Silva or De Bruyne and he's not what Pep wants for a wide player either
Arsenal? Debatable whether he'd get in ahead of Ozil
Us? Ironically yes

Moving the goal posts would he get in the Real side? Obviously not. Would he get in the Bayern side? Maybe.

For Barca he's a serious downgrade on Neymar and while that's true of almost any player there are better players (or ones with more potential) they could be going for so for 90m Liverpool should bite their hands off

We've money enough. What good is 90m if no team wants to sell to us, let alone we'd be able to land a better player than Coutinho.

He's going nowhere.

Lallana, Mane, Salah and Firminho not enough to compensate for the loss of Coutinho? You'd be better off lining up with 1 less attacker anyway

You don't sell your best players and improve. It's nonsense if the player has a long-term contract.

Contracts can be broken , players and their agents hold the real power . Small clubs like Liverpool cant really expect to hold on to their better players if the really big clubs want to buy .

Ill be surprised if he leaves this season - next season though I think its inevitable

:wenger:

Would you sell Pogba for £140m if an offer came in? No you wouldn't, cos he's irreplaceable and it wouldn't make sense even if the offer is way more than he's actually worth.
