Getting sick of this now, ask for 150 million paid in full and let him go.

Have VVD, Keita and Draxler signed (Bonus signing of Vardy) before September 1st, and it will be Coutinho who?

In saying this , i have the 3rd kit to return if he signs for barca, how messy has this transfer window been for Liverpool, amateurs in the boardroom.
 
Market inflation or not, that's a crazy amount for him. Liverpool should take it and run, find a good replacement in January. Barca have gone full David Moyes desperate in the transfer market.
 
He isnt that good... Again. I'd rather see Liverpool keep Coutinho than give them 100+m

Yeah, whatever it happens it's going to be detrimental to both clubs although I think Liverpool could come ahead if they manage to get more money from Barcelona, they're very desperate and willing to overpay massively for Coutinho.
 
If it is possible for them to get van Dijk and Rose, Liverpool should take the £100m upfront money. It would pretty well sort out their defence.

At his very best, Coutinho got what, 8 assists in the league? 10? FSG are creaming in their pants.
 
If that last reported bid is true, I think Liverpool would be mad to turn that down.
 
Draxlers seemingly available and yeah, just what the feck is this? Do Barcelona have some kind of Brazilian player quota they desperately need to fill?

Hell, I'd just get Keita while their at it for £80m. Just feck Liverpool in the ass, but no, this insanity!

Liverpool club and fans would be genuinely concernedand scared each time a talent rises in their ranks. Owen, alonso, masch, torres.. But coutinho is nowhere near their level, and it says alot about the clubs state when they refusing 130mil for philippe fecking countinho. Hillarious.
 
Liverpool left with very tight spot here. They must somehow repel barca long enough and convince him to sign a contract next summer. Make it silly money upwards of 400k pw, how else a club who haven't won the league for 3 decades, last won a decent trophy a decade ago, could keep a decent player with any ambition? Even if he stays, the dressing room toxicity will be corrosive. Barca will move on for sure, will liverpool fanbase ever will? Not to mention Klopps u turn on media will be sight to behold too.. Good times.
 
Ain't there a stat saying Mkhi is now only 3 assists away from equalling Coutinho's best assist tally in the league?

138 mil. I'll have some of what the Barca board are smoking. At this rate, average players are now going to be bought and sold for more than 100 mil. It will have a terrible effect on the transfer market.

Why would they give him a new contract? He just signed a lucrative 5yr contract months ago. They could force him to stay untill he's 30.

Because money. Im sure barca wont offer him 400k pw. Liverpool have to break the damn bank to keep him, they are so out of the loop currently. That will be a statement of intent, suddenly everyone will want to play for liverpool. Their fans will be happy, klopp will be deluded, they do a Leeds and we all can be happy.
 
If they add ons are realistic we should sell up at 138m

He signed a contract this summer.
 
I hope Southampton ask for the 100 Million for VVD. Kieta wont leave Lepzig and he and Liverpool seemed to have accepted it. Whatever happens it has been entertaining to see the meltdown all over Europe. Ideal scenario would be Liverpool not signing anyone else and losing Coutinho. I do think they will go all out for a player if they lose Coutinho but wages will be real problem for players like Draxler and Di maria who will ask for 200k + per week.

I think Add ons will be him becoming the best player in the world (Ballon d'or) o scoring a number of goals or 100 champions league appearances). I think Liverpool should just sell at 101 million or whatever they are getting in this bid and concentrate on a replacement as 8 days left and it would be tough to get anyone.
 
What the hell are the two clubs smoking! Barca should have just offered 80m take it or leave it offer. Once rejected, should have focussed on someone like Hazard / Dybala rather. After offering 138m, they have just ruined the market for themselves and exposed their desperation

Because Hazard and Dybala in August would have cost more than Neymar
 
On one hand i want Liverpool to lose Coutinho which would hurt them as he is one of the best player in their team, which could derail their season(which would be lovely isn't it) and the other hand i don't want English clubs to bend over for these two Spanish clubs whenever they come calling for any of the players.By looking at the facts,if Barca are really offering 138 Million for him Liverpool should drive him to Camp Nou in their car.Liverpool could use this money to invest some players which would add quality as well as depth to their squad.

Yeah, but they did offer them 80m for Coutinho as early as July mid. They should have been after Hazard/Dybala ever since then. And they possibly had an idea that PSG would pay Neymar's release clause so they should have started this process long ago
 
If Liverpool decided to sell FSG would probably pocket most of the money

I wouldn't bank on that offer being true though - in their previous bid they were willing to pay 16 million up front - very cheeky from Barca with all that Neymar money in the bank

They didn't want to spend €200M on a single player. The moment Neymar goes, that's what chelsea and juventus are asking, and that's assuming barcelona managed to get the players to ask for a move, since otherwise there'd be no point to even bidding...
 
Imagine if that was being offered last year? Klopp would be driving him to the airport personally.

He's a great little player but that money is ridiculous.

It's funny because you sold Coutinho for £120m and bought Draxler for £40m, the team will probably be better off in a couple of years when Draxler develops.

7. I read somewhere that Mhki is only 3 away from besting Coutinho's best season (assist-wise) and we're just two games into the season.

The win win comment is short sighted. The game will only suffer with this sort of behaviour. No matter what my allegiance the game is more important than any club. I want the game to continue to be competitive. In the Premier league at the moment it still is but do we want it to be like Spain? I personally don't but thats just my opinion

I read somewhere that most of the add ons are for if barca qualify for the cl in the years coutinho is contracted.
If so that's basically a guarantee.
Take the money and buy vvd and Danny rose. Will be a far better team for it.
 
I hope they reject the offer. I'd rather they keep an unhappy player after a long summer transfer saga than get 100m
