Klopp on Coutinho: "I have to accept the decisions from owners, that's how it is. Sometimes from players. At this moment I focus on my team"

:lol::lol::lol:

The most baffling part of this for me, is Coutihnho isn't that good IMO!

He's a good 2 tiers below world-class, which I'd consider Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez for example.

Coutinho is probably more unique to Barcelona's interest of someone to operate behind Suarez and drive the attacks. There isn't many like him.

Liverpool are welcome to Jesse Lingard as Coutinho's replacement. I can think of players more worthy of Lingard's £100k p/w wages.

True.

Saw Mahrez yesterday and he was just awful.

Might be better to let him go. That's what United were willing to do with DDG.
We keep underestimating the lengths some players will go to get their own way. He'll be a sulky bastard around the place if he's made to stay. At this point, we could do a lot worse than signing Sigurdson and VVD (if Southampton bend), the former isn't as good as Coutinho but it's a desperate time, it could work. My thinking is why risk having an unhappy, unmotivated player disrupt team morale? Having said that I'll look silly if he does pull off a suarez season.

I think the worst thing for you guys is that you could expect something like this from Suarez. But Coutinho didn't seem like the type to throw a fuss.

Signing Sigurdson would also screw over Everton. Which I'm sure you guys wouldn't mind.

Let's see how it pans out.

He won't pull off a Suarez season

He doesn't want to be at the club and is already pretending to have a bad back.

As much as a dislike Liverpool you are one of the most history packed club's in England on par with ourselves.

Move the player on. It's one of those things.

Sell Coutinho and go all in for Jonathan Tah, Khalid Khoulibaly, De Vrij or Kostas Manolas plus Stephen N'Zonzi as a DM, as a team you'll be better off for it, your attack is already good enough.

How many examples can you think of where a player has created dressing room unrest and been a negative influence on the pitch? It's incredibly rare, IMO. It's all academic anyway as Klopp's made it pretty clear just there he's a goner.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Can't Liverpool renegotiate his contract and play him higher wages. If he is their marquee player then they should pay him better. As you stated, we pay Lingard more than what they pay Coutinho.

As someone already noted not sure this is true, but i will put a word in for Lingard here. Players have value and not just for how they p[lay on the pitch. Lingard loves playing for United and we would most likely never have loyalty issues form him.

I just often think few here realize how important some players are to team chemistry and what they bring to the locker room.

Don't get me wrong not trying to say Linagard deserves to start. he doesn't but I want players who love being at United and therefore want Linagrd to be here as our squad player, with other players who love being here.

Is he drunk ?! Didn't he say that L'Pool are not a selling team?

Yep no chance he's a Liverpool player by the end of the window now, FSG will sell when they're offered enough and then that'll be the beginning of the end of Liverpool and Klopp :wenger:

I'd say Dybala is more accomplished than Dembele. Griezmann as well. Plenty of players have done more than Dembele. Dembele is starting to get massively overrated strictly because he has potential. Quaresma had tons of potential as well, just to name an example. All I'm saying is that until Dembele shows he can be the difference maker in big stake games, and show real killer instinct, he is nowhere near Messi.

Where was Dembele wen Dortmund were knocked out by a 'supposedly inferior' side in Monaco? Young Messi would've turned Monaco upside down.

I've seen 5 times more wasted talents than talents that have fully blossomed into amazing players.

You've actually made some extremely valid points here mate.

Dembele and Mbappe both represent huge gambles imo.

Like you correctly said, for every Ronaldo is a Quaresma.

For £150 million I'd want to be signing a bonafide superstar.

That Klopp interview suggests he's gone to me.
Nothing new far as im concerned. Look back at his in game antics and post game interview at Old Trafford last season. Actually inspired me to this name. Lost all respect for him that day.

Well, they just got what they deserved after that Van Diik thing.
Aint that the truth. Southampton be right to wait for some of that Coutinho money. After todays defensive display what was it the 2 jamies said. VVD be 25M more now.

He's going to leave. Liverpool are starting to prepare for this and will throw all the blame on the player: " We didn't want to sell but that idiot forced them, time to burn that twat shirt" etc.

Looks like he wants rid but board are against it.

Surely not? FSG would be laughing to the bank for that kind of cash. Klopp would be the one getting dicked in the deal though, as there isn't a chance they could get in an equal replacement in time.

I sort of agree. To me Coutinho looks like a good player, but clearly not like a world class player. I find it baffling that he appears to be so high up on Barca's list.

You mean the match after the terrorist attack? Dembele scored in the first leg and provided a solo run for an assist in the second leg. Where was old Messi against Juventus or PSG? 1 assist in 4 matches. Silly way of looking at players, silly post.

You play a lot of Football Manager don't you?
