Not appearing as a story any where so probably cobblers atm

How many times was Morata a done deal? I bet we hear something within the hour saying no deal has been agreed and it's BS.

Not ideal him going so close to the start of the season.

This said, if they could buy a CB and a DM then I think the squad will be stronger.

Coutinho is a very very good player but at times he's also a bit of a luxury player.

I have not seen any credible journos saying it's done on Twitter. Only rumours so far.

Brilliant looks like it's done. Been saying for weeks it would happen this summer. To rawk!

Where are people getting 'it's done' from? As pointed out the tweet is from August 5th...

Everyone is just saying Barca will pay this much but no indication of it actually happening.

Two of the most reliable Brazilian outlets are reporting he wants out.

That doesn't really concern me as long as our "not for sale" stance doesn't change.

This will prompt an entire week long site shut down for RAWK.
Nobody can discuss anything! Not until they have all calmed down :)

Looking like he's gone..

I think FSG are going to come under immense fire here if no top class replacement happens.

Any reliable people reporting it? Only reports I saw are from shite sources like ESPN and spanish Sport.

The reason I think they won't sell is because they are loaded and they struggle to sign top players, all the money they would potentially get won't make a difference. Their squad is already the weakest from the top 6, they can't afford to lose any of their best players if they want to keep up.

The player also has 4 or 5 years left in his contract, if I am not mistaken? So, no leverage there to force a move if he wants to.

They'll sell him. It's obvious he'll want to go and this may be the only opportunity he might get to sign for Barca. 100m to spend on VVD and an attacker.

New five year contract signed at the end of January yeah, making him our highest ever earner somewhere just above £150K/week.

The bolded part is obviously the main reason we don't want to sell him. What good is all that money if it can't buy us a proper replacement and further reinforcements? Nothing.

Signing a new contract six months ago = clutching straws when facing the inevitable.

We've seen it repeatedly over the years. Player X signs new contract which increases the potential transfer fee, then Player X moves on a few months later.

The fact ESPN put it on the front page of there main NA website makes me think its a done deal. Can't remember them ever putting something on the front page that was soccer related that wasn't a done deal and well sourced. If it was just in their ESPNFC page I would write it off.

I don't think Liverpool are loaded though that's the problem. None of their transfer activity has suggested they are and infact smells of penny pinching.

I think FSG will want to move Coutinho on and then some of that money will be reinvested although I'm not sure on what/who.

Too many outlets reporting the same thing now. No smoke without fire. Something is brewing and I think it's fairly obvious Coutinho is up for the move.

I haven't seen anywhere, that it's a done deal. It'll be a fecking nightmare if it is, though. We were supposed to strengthen significantly this summer to push forward in both the league and the CL. And if this deal goes through, we're stuck without Coutinho, a lesser version of him, an okay FB and a 19-year old striker with four days to go before the league starts.
I can't help but think, that Klopp must be fuming, if he actually moves this summer and we only sign those three.

Of course they are loaded, they spent like 40m already and they offered crazy money for Keita. They are also chasing Van Djik who will cost a minimum of 50m. Their problem is not money, is that they can't attract the top players and they will do everything in their power to keep the ones they have.
