He's been one of our if not the best player this season so I can't criticise. He tries things, before Martial showed up at the end he was the only one trying to dribble. Yeah it failed a lot, but I'll always respect him for trying it.
This, anytime, good post.

Looked like Rooney when he used to play agaisnt Everton, not on it at all for the bulk of the game.

I'm ordering the away shirt with his name on the back  absolute bae

He can get away with it if we keep winning. Hopefully he’ll be a lot more involved in our positive play V City. He’s been very important over the last few months. I wonder if he’s been told he can leave next summer if he plays his heart out. All the transfer and pogba v Jose noise suddenly died down anyway... if only we’d been as united at the start of the season...

It wasn't as bad as portrayed but again when he overcomplicates things like tonight he's bad.

Not his best game but still won the free kick which Mata scored from and was involved in the winner too. Brilliant player...

As it stands:
- we lose even if he plays well - he gets stick
- we win when he plays well - he still gets stick or people still want him on god mode messi levels
- we win a game vs his old team where he would obviously be read by Allegri - he gets stick

We usually win when he plays good, imagine what would happen without him.

He did have a bad game, for sure, but he did contribute to the goals, ran his ass off at times trying to do stuff and props to him for trying in a match with emotional pressure on him.

I also think that in terms of technical skills with the ball, he(and martial) are the only ones that matched that Juventus team.

We're making a fuss out of every damn thing he does.

Poor.

It'll be another one that's swept under the rug when he has a decent game and everyone in here says how consistent he's been, then jumps down the throat of anyone that suggests he varied from crap to fantastic.

He's been largely our best player and has been consistent the whole season. One off game doesn't change that. I expect him to be back to his normal level in the next games.
It's you guys who swipe his good games under the rug not the other way round.

His workrate and unselfishness will be swept under that very same carpet as well.

It's not one game though. He's been hot and cold, to massive extremes. Brighton (I think it was) being the coldest.

I've always given him credit when he's played well. Not sure why I wouldn't.

He was shocking today, as bad as he's been. Looked like he was trying to hard instead of doing the simple things.

Need a performance on Sunday

It's the Juan Veron syndrome.

No-one was ever allowed to say that Veron didn't live up to the hype. Until he left, then it was a case of 'could see that coming'.

Wasn’t his best tonight. Think he struggled to perform against a team that’s clearly close to his heart still.

Maybe wanted to try too hard and couldn’t relax..

Anyway He’s been great recently so let’s hope this was a small blip.

Hot and cold?
I don't agree with that assessment. He's been very consistent.

I doubt it since he would likely get into any other team in the world and show everyone how good he can be in a good functional team. It expect more of a "Woody is an idiot for selling him.. we should have got more money, we are terrible at selling players" kind of response.

Pogba hasn't even been consistent within games never mind the start of the season. Having said that when he plays well he is our best player by a country mile.

Tonight's performance he was dreadful, no other word to describe it. The amount of times he lost possession sloppily was infuriating.

He was poor. First time in over a month I would say. Our most consistent player this season.

Very poor defensively, he switched off and got robbed of the ball in a few dangerous positions.

Good going forward, as usual.

Not a fan of him keeping rumours alive with comments after the match. What’s the point in saying “we’ll see” about a return to Juve? Celebrate the win with the team you have a contract with.

Absolutely horrible first half. How many times did he fail to trap the ball? Fair fecks to him though, he came out roaring in the second half and followed Martial's lead again in taking the game to Juve in the last 20 minutes.

He didn't celebrate the winner, despite being right there as the ball crossed the line. Just slowly jogged over to the group celebrating. It looked like he was being deferential to the Juve fans - but I wonder why thats going through his mind at such a stage in the game.

I reckon he was also probably trying to not be that sap who madly celebrates a goal when he didn't even touch the ball.

It's funny seeing Ronaldo celebrate Juve goal against us, and seeing pogba not celebrate when we scored the winner.

He wasn't good at all in my eyes. Not terrible, but I have seen McTominay have a better day than this tbf.

He'll have to be instrumental for us if we have any hope of doing anything in the CL this season tho.

So this and that, means 2 out of how many appearances? Massive extremes? Come on, hot and cold means he disappears every game but his form at the moment suggests otherwise.

Be fair to him, he performed well most of the time and not this mythical hot and cold like you want us to believe.

It's nice to see the team can perform well despite his shortcomings, and we can be less reliant on Pogba alone.

His first poor game for us for a while. Still won us the free kick for Mata's goal

He had his typical bad first half without the good second half.
But who gives a feck, we just beat Juventus!

Almost an identical performance to nearly every performance this season. Didn't try first half, tried a bit in the second only this time nothing much came off for him.

Juve didn’t give him an inch today. They had come with a plan to always have two players just behind him at all times till the ball moved to right and he no longer was an active option. Sometimes it’s not just our players that play shit, it’s also that we were against one of the best teams in the world with many tactically well drilled players.

Pogba has been our most consistent. He's been brilliant all season save for like 3 matches (including this one).

After being our best player for most games this season he was our worst player tonight. Glad we got the win though.

Strength: Insanely gifted.

Weakness: Infuriatingly inconsistent.

We would have been better off with 10 men than having Pogba constantly giving Juve the ball. Dreadful performance.

I love the guy but he was atrocious. It was painful to watch, I don't know if it was emotion or something but that was one of his worst matches I've ever seen him. Still had a couple moments of passing brilliance in the 2nd half
