Outgoing Players

I've seen some Twitter reports that Martial is unhappy and has unfollowed Man Utd on IG and Twitter? Someone reassure me that they're just trolling, I'm not normally a pant wetter but it worried me

Not sure if he was following them in the first place, but I wouldn't know.

If he was informed or wasn't he can speak to the manager.

Next the club has invested hugely in him, which other clubs didn't.

Fourth they are preliminary numbers, Martial is classified as a winger so he is #11, Ibra is a Striker so he is a #9.

Bouhafsi of RMC tweeted that Martial was annoyed that United didn't inform him that they were giving the No.9 to Zlatan rather than the number change itself. He also said "no" when asked if Martial wanted to leave.

Quite a few papers picking this up, sounds like a briefing. Though are we the only club that has to keep letting the papers know who we want to sell rather than telling them we don't want to sell such and such a player that is bid on? So far no confirmed bids for any of our senior players, which says a lot about their quality and excessive wages.

Is our squad becoming ridiculous? Just had a look at making a fantasy football team, we have 12 defenders and 13 midfielders listed (14 when Pogba joins). How are we going to keep all these players happy? We can pay them loads but some players will want to play and Mourinho isn't known to be the best at rotation.

OMG Moyes says he wants Fellaini and Januzaj!!
Snap his arm off!

Despite Roma's interest it seems Darmian's going nowhere. And nor is Schweinsteiger, two of the few players other teams actually want to buy from us. Increasingly looking like it will be youth shipped out while the veterans stay.
It's because other teams won't pay them the wages we do - no wonder Bastian doesn't want to go!

I think we'll struggle to sell any of our senior players, at least not the ones we'd want to, because of their high wages - they will just elect to stay and see out their contract here

BFS has been banished to the reserve team dressing room according to M.E.N. It is also his birthday today and usually the official web page acknowledges players birthdays. Not a mention, which I find a bit sad.

The official twitter account sent him a happy birthday tweet this morning. Sad to see him go though. Mourinho couldn't have been clearer with his comments. He said the players he doesn't see as a part of his plans won't be playing a single minute. Only mentioned Smalling and TFM as having injuries. So that means bye bye Bastian. :(

We'll probably move some on by still paying them a % of their wages at their new club.

Yes, but do they want to go to Sunderland, who many think will be relegated? Doubt they can offer much money too.

Imagine they can go for same money (subsidised by us) plus a relegation release clause and big bonuses if Sunderland avoid the drop. Alternative is playing in League Cup and Europa League for us.

I think we are having a real problem shifting anyone.

Shit players on high wages - we have a team worth of them.

Sad to see him leave. I thought we would definitely need him as a cover for Carrick since we don't have any other DMs. He played well against France in that role. Looks like it's either Carrick or Schneiderlin to play alongside Pogba.

Only the Chinese League can afford these players. With their transfer window closed, we might have to sell them for a very low price to offset their huge wages.

I really thought Mourinho could do with his experience with Carrick often missing with injury these days. Banishing him to the reserves to try force him to give up the contract we offered him seems pathetic. We should be learning from a player like Bastien, not hiding him away.

He might not figure in Jose's plans for this season. But even then I think it's a bit excessive to send a player like Basti to the reserves. He could have been allowed to stick with the main squad until he gets a new club. He didn't even get a chance to prove his worth to the new manager.

Nah, it's a well established FM tactic, relegating them to the reserves so that they request a transfer. If that doesn't work, he can try criticising him in the press and handing out 2 weeks wages fines for "no reason"

I can to a certain extent understand getting rid of the players that we are, as they all at least trained with the team. But Bastian never even met Mourinho before getting tossed aside. A bit strange that

It could be a way of gaining respect from the team if the rumoured Germany visits during last season happened. If many players were upset with LVG favourising him, while he didn't show enough commitment, I reckon it could've been a smart move.

I would love to have Bastian here... ala Pirlo if not for his high wages.

I'm becoming increasingly worried that Rojo won't be moved on.

It's obvious that we need to sell at one point. Plus, I wouldnt mind some space for our younger players in the squad

Maybe Van Gaal had him down as a trouble causer

Adnan and Fellaini would probably fetch £25m between them if it wasn't for their high wages.
