Outgoing Players

Honestly we really need to sell Fellaini. He is just deterimental to what we are trying to achieve with our style of play.

Managers just cant seem to resist fielding him in some capacity due to his height, physicality and aerial threat. Used in the right moments, its definitely effective. Just think it makes us way too slow and unnecessarily reliant on pumping the ball to his head.

Fellaini plays a role in any team he's part of, including United. This is the Premier League, we'll need a variety of players to contribute in a variety of ways. And Mourinho has always liked taller and strong players. Jose will do anything to kill a game and protect a lead. Fellaini probably will not start or play every game, but his strengths will be used wisely and timely by Jose.

Fixed that for you.

I don't understand keeping Rojo and sending Borthwick-Jackson out on loan. F*ck Rojo off and have CBJ be back-up to Shaw.

Fellaini would be the last of the unwanted players I would want to get rid of. He can be useful in certain situations, but the biggest thing for me is we keep him away from an opposition team. If he moves to another premier league team, he'll end up making our defenders his b!tch at least 2 times a season.

I agree with this. If we're not keeping Rojo, Keep Jackson and use him and TFM as backup backs. Blind can fill at LB as well if needed. Jones has also filled as RB although that'd be far less than ideal. The idea of bringing the Southhampton old man in seems like overkill. And why would you do that if you're Fonte? Come here and sit behind 3 or 4 guys. I understand we want depth but to me, this is the same as the Bony decision to go to City a few years back. Do they just need their share of the signing bonus so bad that they can't turn down a chance to sit on a bigger club's bench?

Love it how all the press are backtracking on Blind & Mata, they are so clueless

It's pretty clear the British press have had no decent leads or sources at OT for years now. They were just picking the "obvious" ones to exit this summer. Their dramatising of Mata's substitution was particularly laughable.

I've no doubt that Mou will offload certain players if decent offers come along. But other than BFS, seems like he's otherwise okay to field them too, and go through the season with a slightly bloated squad.

It's more about getting CBJ the experience. If CBJ stays he would play at most 15-20 games, likely less whereby he would likely get more than 30 going on loan (the club that linked with him so far are all PL clubs so he would very likely to play in the PL). Then we can finally get rid of Rojo next season especially if the young CBs are ready.

Selling Blind would have been insane. I'm loving Juan's contribution and he deserves his place in the squad. I am tired of Jones and his fitness and Rojo just aint good enough. If those two were to be sold then perhaps an experienced CB as cover for Bailly, Blind and Smalling, but otherwise I would prefer the youth to be utilized.

Safe to say that Blind and Mata are staying. I am happy with that if we can get rid of Bastian(wage bill, not sure if that is a concern, but we have too many elite earners).
Fellaini is going to stay as well, am not all that excited about this, but Marouane is staying.
If Memphis has a half decent season, game time for one out of young and lingard will be seriously limited. I think Mou prefers lingard, so I will not be surprised if Young is sold.
My wishlist(realistic):
Sell -> Young, Bastian, Keane
Loan -> Perreira, CBJ, Tuanzebe, Wilson

Our Squad if the abovr happens:
3 Gks: Ddg, Romero, Johnstone
Defenders(9): Smalling, Bailly, Shaw, Jones, Blind, Rojo, Valencia, Darmian, TFM
Midfielders(5): Pogba, Carrick, Herrera, Morgan, Fellaini
Forwards(6): Martial, Mkhitaryan, Mata, Rooney, Memphis, Lingard
Strikers(2): Ibra, Rashford

22+3 Man squad is sufficient.

So far it seems we are becoming like Jose's loan factory Chelsea with our young players.

Yes and no, tbh on that list the only kids I'd want around this season are CBJ, Varela and maybe McNair.

CBJ is the only one I'd like to keep around.
It's not like Darmian, Jones and Pereira are racking up game time either, so you could easily add those to the list.

1) Why you think so??

2) So far Borthwick-Jackson isn't on loan and and Dunne has left the club (I'm also not sure why a U18 player is on that list).

Yeah I didn't include him originally but someone suggested to add him. I thought that CBJ loan deal was agreed but seems still being negotiated. Though him and Pereira are certain to go loan. Not sure about Jones though, maybe sold but doubt loaned.

Okay

And why you think that "So far it seems we are becoming like Jose's loan factory Chelsea with our young players"???

I would have thought the list of young players being loaned would have made that self-explanatory.

5 young players on loan is hardly being a loan factory. That's normal for a big club, you're comparing us to Chelsea who had 28 players on loan! Big difference.

Hmm maybe I'm just being nervous about it then. I suspect it will be 6 on loan in all (Pereira loaned and Blackett sold) which does seem to be more than the last few years (but I admit that's a feeling and I don't know how many we did loan each year) but when I look at the names, most I would loan too. Only surprising ones are CBJ and Pereira as I thought they were ready for first team football just as much as TFM is.

Sell rojo to Arsenal on the cheap and say he can play up top as well ;)

I think that even Wenger knows that Rojo is sh***

Well, seeing our team I hope, for the dressing room's balance that we'll find a solution quickly for Bastian.

Regarding Rojo, I think it's depending on Monaco's champions league spot

About Jones, it's been a while I hope him to leave our team. He may have a good year at Stoke our WBA and make a Jonny Evans

And Pereira is still with us too, I just hope he can have a loan in PL this year to have game time

Apparently anyone who the club want to move out, either on loan or permanently, will not be featuring for the reserves tonight at Southampton.

Probably explains the absence of Wilson, Keane, Blackett etc for the game last week.

I hope goes on loan in this window. I want him to have a blinder of a season.
So that we have Greizmann as our no.10 next year and have Perreira as a back-up. :-)

McNair - £4.46m
Varela - £638k
Fletcher - £238k
Borthwick-Jackson - £2.55m
Wilson - £1.7m
Love - £978k
Januzaj - £5.95m

That's £16.489m before whatever Tyler Blackett was sold for and further conditions in the McNair deal.

Wolves have paid that much just for a loan?

I think you're mixing up some fees with their market values. For example, the McNair fee is somewhat accurate, but the Borthwick Jackson and Wilson values you've used are their market values (according to transfermarkt), not the loan fees that we are receiving.

Outgoing:
Mata, Herrera, Pogba, Zlatan, Lingard

Introverted:
DDG, CBJ, Carrick, Valencia, Martial

The introverts clearly make a better futsal team! Look at the team balance!

1) We have currently 4 players out on loan and even if it will be 4-5 more players in the next days then that is totally fine.
Chelsea have currently 23 players out on loan and some italian clubs have 40-50 players out on loan.

2) Some young players need a loan.

3) The days of the emergency loan system for the English Football League is over since this season.

Point 3 is new to me. What effect will this have? Isn't the number we are loaning out unusual for us though? Perhaps because of our large squad and point 3.

The effect will be that clubs will now have to make longer-term commitments to loan signings and must be more careful.

No

List of pending things that we must absolutely sort out in this window:
1) Selling Bastian
2) Loaning out Perreira
3) Selling Will keane
Things that I feel we should do, even though Mou has shown no inclination towards it:
1) Sell at least one out of Mata, Fellaini and Young.

Either of the lists does not have getting rid of Rooney, cause well, we know that is just not going to happen.

Mata and Fellaini are staying. Young could be the only one leaving but even that seems unlikely because of his high wages.

Yep, certainly agree with this. The second one won't be a problem. Number 3 should happen as we'll barely want any kind of fee. The first one might be an issue.
