Outgoing Players

Blind for sale?! Plus Jones to Hull and Rojo transfer listed.

Are we signing 2 new centre backs then?

People will point to Castles having some contacts to Mourinho or someone in his regime and I'm not dismissing that since he was a mouthpiece when he was at Chelsea...

...but I'm sure the mainstream media would have picked up on a Hull loan bid for Jones or Rojo receiving offers if they happened.

Those who entered last friendly games only in the remaining minutes of the second half are getting messages from Mourinho that they will not even make it to the bench, namely Darmian, Memphis, Mata.

I get the impression we are struggling to get rid of the deadwood, it seems we have to have a big clear out every summer but for whatever reason we always end up with more crap.

I blame Moyes/LVG for this.

I think LvG did alright clearing out alot of the deadwood. If anything, he probably let go of 1 or 2 players too many.

It's just unfortunate a lot of his signings were duds themselves (Rojo, Schneiderlin, BFS, Depay, Darmian - though a few of them can hopefully turn it around), but it was always going to happen that when a new manager comes in, he'd want to bring in a few more new players and get rid of some underperforming ones.

"Rojo has no interest in leaving United"

I bet he doesn't! Caining it in, and doesn't even have to worry about playing much!

Assuming Pogba (which I don't), then we seem a bit stacked in midfield, Schweinsteiger obviously, although where is anyone's guess, then for me one of Fellaini, or Herrera can go, on the wings we could lose one of Young or Depay, defensively assuming Rojo won't budge then i'd really like to see the back of Jones.

So my in preference order: Fellaini & Schweinstegier £20 m, Young £5 m, Jones £8 m, + Januzaj £12 m, that should be more than enough for Jose to buy his commanding CB, hopefully Manolas.

Christ the vitriol direct at Rojo because he, god forbid, might actually enjoy being at a club that we'd all give our left bollocks to play for is ridiculous.

Rojo's always seemed to show some sort of affinity with the club (back when the Caf hand't decided they hated him it led to a lot of posts along the lines of 'Love Rojo ' whenever it came up) so its hardly shocking he'd be reluctant to move; Mourinho has shown no desire to move him on, as far as we can tell anyway, so why should he?

Sure, he might get a bigger pay packet here than he would elsewhere but - if rumours of a move to China were true - then its not like he'd have been worse off if he moved.

Maybe its best that he moved on (although I still think he showed promise at centre-back and could be of use there) but surely we should sympathise to a certain extent with players who do seem to 'get' the club and who are doing what we would do in their shoes?

I hope we're planning to get at least one CB if we want to offload Rojo, Blind and Jones.

Personally I would be sad to see Blind go.

Mourinho said that he wants to work with 23 players (20 outfield + 3 keepers) and not mentionned the younger lads

I think for now we'll sell Rojo only if we manage to get another central defender (to make Blind an utility CB and LB)

And has Fellaini can play 6, 8 or 10 and fit Mourinho's profile more than Mata, I think that the Belgian will stay, and Mata may leave at the end of the window.

Probably Januzaj, Pereira and Wilson will be sold/loaned.

De Gea, Romero, Johnstone (or Pereira)

Valencia, Darmian, Smalling, Bailly, Blind, Jones, Shaw, Rojo

Carrick, Schneiderlin, Pogba, Herrera, Fellaini

Mhitaryan, Lingard, Rooney, Mata, Martial, Depay

Ibrahimovic, Rashford

Pereira linked with PSV again. Would be a good loan move for him. If he's as good as he thinks he is, he'll be able to play every game, and in the Champions League.

How many players - if any - do you need to sell to meet the rules for squad composition without having to just banish players from the squad?

I reckon Schweinsteiger, Januzaj and Jones could be sold

Pereira, Wilson Keane will be loaned out no doubt

Hope we are going to sign Fabinho and Miranda, those 2 would certainly top off the season and make us favorites for the title

Jose said 23 players and 3 goalkeepers

Certain to be in the team:

GK: DDG + Romero + Johnstone (3)

Def: Tuanzebe + Bailly + Smalling + Valencia + Shaw+ Blind + TFM (7)

CM: Pogba + Carrick + Fellaini + Herrera + Schneiderlin + Mata + Mkhitaryan + Lingard + Depay + Martial +Young (11)

Attack: Ibra + Rooney + Rashford (3)

That is 3 goalkeeper + 21 outfield players already

Still need to account for: Jones, Rojo, Schweinsteiger, Darmian, CBJ, Pereira, Wilson, Keane and Januzaj

Almost certainly going on Loan: Pereira, Wilson, Keane
Almost certainly going to be sold: Januzaj Schweinsteiger

I think he will keep Darmian, Loan out CBJ and try to sell both Jones and Rojo and bring in a new centreback, if he can't find a good centreback he'll keep on of Jones/Rojo, maybay both

Plenty of players that I would like to see leave.

Jose said he wouldn't give any minutes to players he didn't have in his plans.

That said, I think if offers came in for a few that have played he would consider them.

Bastian and Adnan look definitely off.

Possibly Darmian and Jones too.

If anyone wants any of them!

Pereira linked with PSV again. Would be a good loan move for him. If he's as good as he thinks he is, he'll be able to play every game, and in the Champions League.

We seen with Memphis though, The Dutch league isn't a good enough standard to test him properly. I'd rather he went to a Premier League club if possible, Hull are in serious need of players and would not mind him and CBJ going there at all. Would give them EPL experience.

Out: Darmian, Bastian, Januzaj(loan), Jones, Young, Periera(Loan), Fellaini, Wilson(Loan), Mcnair, Blackett,

In: Matuidi, Fabinho

Would leave us in an incredibly strong position with a fantastic squad that would win the league in my eyes.

I know people will scoff at buying two more midfielders on top of Pogba but I don't have complete faith in any of our current CM options.

De Gea
Valencia, Smalling, Bailly, Shaw
Lingard, Pogba, Fabinho, Matuidi, Martial
Zlatan

Romero
TFM, Blind, Rojo, CBJ
Mkhi, Herrera, Carrick, Schneiderlin, Rashford
Rooney

Also Mata, Depay, Johnstone

Now that we've signed Pogba the focus will shift to getting players out the door.

Schweinsteiger will probably be the first priority. The situation with him is already a messy distraction and the quicker we can resolve it the better.

Jones to Everton wouldn't be totally out of the question now that Stones has gone to City. Would be a decent move for all involved.

It's going to be an interesting few weeks as I think United, Chelsea, City and Liverpool amongst others, all will be looking to cut down their squad sizes. There will be some decent players for the lower level clubs to pick up (if they can afford) or for clubs in other leagues to pick up at a decent price.

Selling Blind would not be very clever. However, I do not think Jose has any plans to do so.

I read on a Bayern Forum about rumours of them being interested in Mata and/or Memphis - any sources for that?

If my reckoning is correct, no one. I'm doing this at work using United's wikipedia page, so there may be some mistakes. On that page, 35 players are listed in the first team. This includes the likes of Januzaj, Wilson, Tuanzebe, etc. Maximum 25 can be registered. Players who were born after January 1st 1995 qualify as U-21 and don't require registration. For the first team that gives the following list:

Martial
Januzaj
Rashford
Shaw
Fosu-Mensah
Tuanzebe
Borthwick-Jackson
Perreira
Wilson
McNair

That makes 10 so we're left with 25 players requiring registration. Among those 25 are the likes of Blackett and Keane who I can't see staying here this season.

Amazing how quickly people write off our signings. Schneiderlin is a brilliant player, its no fluke that so many good players looked so tumescent under LVG. Bar Rojo, who just really isn't a very good player I feel another season alot of opinions on these players would change. We need a big squad aswell playing the Thursday night league all over the place takes it toll.

Outs:

Rooney
Rojo
Jones
Young
Fellaini
Pereira - Loan
Januzaj

Thats what I would like to see

Spooky!  :eek::eek: me too!

Same list, same reason for keeping Schneiderlin (he looked pretty good at Southampton so what changed .... hmmmm?) and same with Perreira in case we repeat Pogba release and he improves as he MIGHT do.

I hate large squads with overpaid squad players who are not and never will be United standard (Phil Jones, that particularly means you!!)

Sell and replace or let younger players have a go (like TFM who I think can be as successful as Rashford). Smaller squad means the ones not in the first team are pushing to fight their way in, not occasional sub on tens of thousands a week.

Happily see all of these go, shame Rojo couldn't play like he did for Arg in 2014 WC.

Why would Palace need another winger with Bolasie, Zaha and Townsend already?
