Shaw and Mazraoui would be a fantastically technical pair of full backs

I went for Mazraoui as man of the match because he was one of the few decent performers against Chelsea.
And I do like his style. He doesn't just stand off or wait for the ball to bounce. He attacks it and tries to get to the ball first.

I remember the story about a Bayern player posting something and being hung out to dry but I hadn't put 2 and 2 together. I like the guy even more now. Mental they'd let a quality player go for having a rational reaction to barbarism.

Most low-key signing of the summer has turned out to be the best one so far.
I’m really glad he’s still the same player who was extremely highly rated at Ajax. Went from championing him to hearing he was a crock at Bayern, which cooled my expectations for him here, but he’s clearly still got it; one of few at the club who could make a PL xi and also play for any team in the league.
I must admit I was very skeptical of this signing, mainly due to his injury record but he’s really impressed me so far. A very good footballer that works his arse off, an excellent combination to have in a player.

It's like we have a PL/CL player ticking along nicely how you'd expect and we just need 10 more.

He’s probably the best value for money signing we’ve made post-Fergie. The only other one that comes close to it is Bruno.
