Mo Salah

30+ goals this season is a very realistic possibility now. Fantastic signing for them.

Turning into a cracking player, shows what lightning pace can get you. If only the scousers had a real striker they would be quite some force.

He's more than lightening pace. His ability to make deft runs behind the defence is ridiculously accurate and fruitful. Honestly he looks offside most of the time until the replays prove otherwise.

I don't think scoring goals is that much of an issue for them. If they had a better goalie + defence they'd have a well balanced team.

Anyway, when you saw Salah at Basel you could see he was more than your average pace merchant, he just needed the minutes to become a more well-rounded player and improve his IQ on the pitch and those 2 years at Roma were great for his development.

It's his movement and desire to make runs in behind, it seems so simple but it obviously isn't as you would see more top players doing it. Another great thing about him is his hold up play, he is really strong for his size. His first touch is great also.

Don't get wrong he's more than just pace, he's learned to use his main talent extremely well. He times his runs to perfection.

Been a great signing though. Times his runs to perfection, which has helped us when defenders sit deep.

Thought we were being fleeced by paying so much for a player who failed to make the grade at Chelsea. He's looking like a bargain right now.

He has done well. Still think Mane is the main man mind.

After watching him many times with our national team, I really wanted Jose to give him another go with United but that was near impossible, he is a great talent since his early days.

He's what I hoped Mkhi would be for us. He's been excellent for them so far

Kind of weird that between Salah, de Bryune, Matic and Lukaku, Chelsea had the best players at each of their 3 current title contenders on their books.

Strange player, whenever I see him I seem to think he misses a lot and isn't technically great, he's just so fast and has great movement.

Clearly not the case but still.

Gotta admit, I wasn't particularly impressed when we signed him. A lightweight winger from Italy who was rejected by Chelsea, but he's definitely won me over. What a season so far. It almost makes our defensive horror show even more annoying when I think of what could be, if only we had a capable CB and a good DM.

Not Matic.

Matic had his developing at Benfica. When he arrived at Chelsea for the second spell, he was the finished article. He improved a bit under Jose, but his most important spell was Benfica football wise

The Messi if Egypt as he is called. Cracking wing players in him sane and mane.

I noticed that for his second yesterday. Timed the run perfectly for Coutinho to play him in.

I didn't expect him to be this good in front of goal though.

Mane and Salah - both wonderful buys from Klopp considering the cost. Naby Keita is going to be awesome for them also. They'll lose Coutinho but Klopp has a pretty good record with signings it must be said

Going from past rumours we could very well lose both Coutinho (to Barca) and Mane (to Real) yet still end up left with Salah and Keita.:wenger:

And a net amount of close to £300m to try to get decent replacements (Lemar, etc). Which is why we critically need to finish top four yet again! :(.

Looks like his finishing is improving and he seems more confident than when the season started.

There's not a chance in hell we'd let Coutinho and Mane go in the same Summer.

I'm baffled how Jose let Salah, De Bryune and Cuadrado leave without giving them proper chances.

It's not just the goals and his ability to get on the end of things. Been impressed with his linkup play too lately. He shields the ball well and does really well to lay it off for others. Think he could play as a central striker down the line.

Still love seeing him and Mane on the pitch together. Seeing that kind of pace packed into the frontline is just sumptuous.

We have, he's called Joe Gomez.

There's a LOT of pace in the side now : Mane, Salah, Moreno, AA, Ox .... are all very very fast. Coutinho & Gomez aren't slow either but behind the others (top speeds for the speedsters against Saints was 33kph+, Coutinho was 28+ but then he doesn't need to sprint as much. 'Most Sprints' surprised me a little since it was Mane by a fair distance (64 sprints), I thought Salah would be similar, he wasn't.

If Pool take themselves they'd improve on Firminho asap.
Firmino is quality. Should score more, but he's not really playing as a centre forward. Our front three formation is a bit like our midfield three:

--------------------Salah
Mane
---------Firmino

He's had a patch of poor form earlier this season, but he was great against southampton.

Gomez is rapid.

Maybe a better comparison in terms of number of chances to goals would have been Andrew Cole

For 35m Liverpool have struck a bargain of the summer. Although quite wasteful and does look lost when things get tough but a lovely player.
