Mo Salah

Keita and Van Dijk would be an upgrade but.. Complete? Moreno is terrible. Van Dijk would be one player - I think they need 2-3 quality players in defence. There'll be injuries over a season
They have Robertson who is twice the defender Moreno will ever be. So are Gomez, Flanagan and Milner who can all play there. They also have ample options at right back. And as long as they have a Van Dijk as the key man, Matip, Gomez and Lovren aren't the worst supporting cast to have. All Liverpool lack is leader of their defending. Plus a midfielder who is an excellent two wayer who can protect the defence from midfield during counters. They have the later in Keita, not the former.

In order for Jürgen Klopp's high pressing system to work you need a defensive midfielder that can cover a lot of ground and erases the mistakes in the build-up if they occur. The reason it worked at Dortmund is because of Sebastian Kehl and Sven Bender. Both Can and Henderson are downgrades to what he had at Dortmund.

Keita might remedy that tho
Keita is EXACTLY the answer to that conundrum unfortunately.

His movement is absolutely top notch, I gotta hand it to him.

Christ. He’s putting all my initial doubts to shame. What is it, 12 goals in 14 league games? And as a winger. When Coutinho, Lallana, Mane and Salah are all fit we have a truly brilliant attack

17 in all competitions. He’s been unbelievable so far.

Real shame they bought him. Don't think he'd be as good here, as he's very suited to Klopps style, but he would be class here regardless as he's a class player IMO. Been amazing this season with his goalscoring, but is also a huge threat every game.

Can he outscore Suarez? I doubt he can score 32 in the league alone.

Which team is gonna buy him in 2 years?
Really hope he goes, he is Egyptian so the only thing makes me feel good is him not to play for Liverpool sometimes I want salute the way he plays and be happy for him but it's Liverpool you know:D

Milestone performance for him last night, well and truly showing his credentials as a potential premier league great.

Did it on a cold wednesday night in Stoke.

Signing of the summer. He's been brilliant.

I know we've had average managers which hasn't helped, but it's so long since we had a new signing that made such an impact. Lukaku started well but has gone off the boil. Martial had a great first season, but he was younger and it wasn't like this. It was probably Van Persie that last arrived in and made an impact like this.

He now has the same number of goals for Liverpool as Mane does, with Mane having a 12 month head start obviously.

Just passed here to say he is the signing of the season,a lot of posters mentioned he wasn't all that based on 6 months at Chelsea, reality is he was good for Basel, Fiorentina, Roma, also credit to Klopp by taking the most out of him, it isn't by Salah or Mané that Liverpool isn't more competitive, curious to see next season with Keita how they mix together.

Liverpool come up with some great signings sometimes. Salah has fantastic movement, creating so many chances and could have scored even more.

Wonder if City will try to sign him ?

Only City or PSG will realistically be able to afford him. I don't think he has as much a bond with the two big Spanish clubs as South Americans tend to have. I guess we just have name our price if we're not seriously challenging for things.

Also, if figures online are to be believed, he's leading the European scoring charts ahead of Messi and a fair bit ahead of Neymar and Ronaldo.

Salah has far exceeded everyone's expectations.
I doubt the Liverpool scouting/ coaching department expected him to be half as good as he has been.

Why the feck were we chasing Perisic for ages when this bloke from the same league out performed him and wasn't gonna cost 55m? We're crying out for a player who can thrive on the right. Signing of the summer so far.

Can't see him staying there long term if he keeps up this sort of form, one of the big buys will take him if he keeps this up.

Jose's system won't get the best out of him. He will flop again like he did back then in Chelsea. He needs to work under an attacking coach to be flourish.

He'll score goals, he played with a target man in Dzeko at Roma and still netted 15 in the league, he's well on course to surpass that here but we definitely need him to be. With youse netting 10-15 in the league would be fine cause you have other goal threats, with us he's the primary one making the striker runs which has helped him increase his output. But he'll score wherever.

Egyptians must be going mad because of this guy. They used to stay up all night just to watch Mido play for Ajax all those years ago...

KlippityKlopp is great at identifying wingers for his system, I'd take both Mane and Mo Salah in a heartbeat.

Luckily he doesn't know a defender from a training cone.

Well I guess he scored more than these 3 but if Neymar and thus Ligue 1 is included I doubt Salah is leading a chart as in that case Cavani has to be the number 1. He's on 25 goals already.

25? I've just seen 23. Which is amazing for November really whichever league you play in.
