Mo Salah

Why the feck were we chasing Perisic for ages when this bloke from the same league out performed him and wasn't gonna cost 55m? We're crying out for a player who can thrive on the right. Signing of the summer so far.

Maybe because they are different players that offer different things and suit different systems.

25? I've just seen 23. Which is amazing for November really whichever league you play in.
Yeah.. that's weird, whoscored shows 2 goals in the national cup but apparently these are from last season.

It's easy to say now 'oh why weren't we in for him' but not many on this forum at the time wanted him, hardly any at all in fact. Most had recognised he had done well at Roma and Fiorentina but would struggle to step up to a top club.

His form is certaintly impressive but the real test will be next season or after Xmas to see if he can keep close to the same sort of levels. Even getting double figures in goals and assists is a great season for a winger but he's well ahead of that already.

At this point, it's safe to say that Mo Salah is the greatest/best Egypt player ever.

On course to 45 goals if he maintains his current form. Hard task.

He will get 25(league goals) injury permitting.

If he gets 45 goals (in all competitions )I will eat 2 straw hats.

Some lad on RAWK will be happier if he gets 15 + and Liverpool score over 80 ( I think )

250/1

Chelsea fans must be so pissed with Mourinho he really messed up some of their transfer situations while he was there despite the title success. They could have Lukaku, De Bruyne, and Salah all starting for them.

Fair play to Klopp for his attacking buys. First Mane, now Salah who is looking terrific.

And that's in addition to already having Hazard. I'm thankful for Jose cocking up a bit there at Chelsea. The potential of what they had a few years back is staggering.

Dont think they would ave improved so much. Having settled team is very important, maybe they would have been loaned out so many times to various teams except KdB.

Anyways should thank Jose for fecking that up. Would have been scarily good attack.

Of course it would require the right manager to develop them but the potential would have been though the roof. You're looking at 3-4 of the best 10 attackers in the league in one team. And it would have freed up funds to further improve the rest of team. And not to mention that the rest of the team is already very very good.

It's a wierd one. Seeing De Bruyne is a true killer, he would have been perfect for us under Conte and there's always that little pain when i watch him. Sturridge was initially painful but that eased when we signed Costa. Salah, despite his start, im not really that arsed about, i think he is tailor made for Klopp and wouldn't be that effective at Chelsea, Pedro is a better fit for us.

Lukaku however, as soon as he started running his mouth about being undisputed number 1 i would have given him a lift to Everton myself. Costa, Morata and even Eto'o were much better.

He must be enjoying playing against clueless defenders most of the time. That and nobody bothering sticking very close to him all game long.

I meant in all compets. 45 goals are unlkely but 35 seem doable with 2/3 of the season ahead.

He's finding life very easy here. So much space in between the lines in our league, truly fits his style of play.

They have Robertson who is twice the defender Moreno will ever be. So are Gomez, Flanagan and Milner who can all play there. They also have ample options at right back. And as long as they have a Van Dijk as the key man, Matip, Gomez and Lovren aren't the worst supporting cast to have. All Liverpool lack is leader of their defending. Plus a midfielder who is an excellent two wayer who can protect the defence from midfield during counters. They have the later in Keita, not the former.

What about GK ? I know 60% of the problems we have are due to mignolet's indecisions. Look at United's back line, You have Young, Valencia, smalling, jones in there put mignolet behind them and your biggest nightmare is complete.

Why is Jose getting the brunt of all the (on hindsight) bad decisions at Chelsea. Roman and the board are well known to be highly intrusive in player/management decisions. But the notion it's all down to just Jose is gathering pace, mostly based on repetition of it as fact and inability to speculate beyond the apparent.

None of them would have been sold if Mourinho rated them highly enough to actually use them.

He is in insane form. Producing goals/assists left and right.

Was there any indication from his time in Italy that he’d be capable of producing like this? Ridiculous form atm.

Mourinho picks the team. He could have picked one or more of these players, instead he wanted to go with Hazard, Oscar and Willian in the attacking positions. Hazard obviously turned out great, Willian had 1 good season and Oscar's Chelsea form never warranted even the initial praise he got. But Mourinho liked him and then fell out of love

A bit, he had a good spell for Roma with over 20 goals and assists (combined) in both his 2 seasons there. So thats already good. But he's on course to double that

Is moving from Roma, frequently 2nd and 3rd in the league although under performing in the CL, to Liverpool a real "step up" to a top club. Not really. He was very much "proven" when he came to Liverpool, and now he's finding the EPL easier. Just like Morata he thrives when there's space in front of and behind the opposition defence, which there rarely is for Serie A big teams.

Salah is a different player from Perisic. We already have a Salah like player in Martial. We lack a genuine wide player, Salah is a forward.

Not really. He's getting better at virtually everything, it's really impressive. That said, he's 25
