Don't think he'll carry on his form in the same way throughout the season but I've always thought he was an excellent player even from his time back at Basel. He really suits Liverpool's system as well. I really like him and watching him can be very exciting.
As for Cuper's comments, that's par for the course unfortunately. You're talking about the best player for a football mad huge African nation. Egyptians can be prone to doing this unfortunately. Jenas' comments about the twitter abuse he received were both hilarious and so accurate. We got a lot of Egyptians signing up to spurs forums at the time of Mido & Ghaly. And my Egyptian side of my in-laws did not like Tottenham after the way we apparently treated them.
