Mikel Arteta | Lego Pep watch

I didn’t see the game. Who’s fault was this robbery of a result this week?

Feeling a little better about saying Liverpools mentality is why they'll win the title over Arsenal/Artetas and what he puts in the team. They're too good of a team to perform like they have this season. They've had about 3 or 4 good top team level performances this despite results and as I said earlier in the thread it did indeed come back to bite them, just much quicker than I expected.

They aren't out of it yet but if Liverpool beat Brighton they have a lot to make up. They've already dropped 12 points which means they can drop at most 12 more in the last 28 games to hit 90 points. They might have to drop even less with the momentum the Dippers are building. They might at most only be able to afford dropping another 9.

Maybe the title can be won at 85ish points if they're lucky.

They're going to drop a lot of points.

It's probably more a case that finally everything isn't going their way.
Yep. They've started actually being punished for their tactical fouls and timewasting, and refs aren't automatically giving them 10 minutes added time in any game they aren't winning.

Couple of decent crosses into the box...not much else.

But I'm sure all the player knew what they were doing and G.Nev and Co can see the style/DNA.

Nothing to worry about just yet, the 2nd place finish is still very much possible so Happy Days!

He’s neglected his attack in favour of a sturdy defence and midfield and when Odegaard isn’t there, it’s not a pretty watch.

Jesus has been a dud. Trossard seems pretty flakey. Martinelli has recent stats to rival Rashford. Sterling barely gets a look in so how bad must he potentially be if Martinelli still gets in?

Don't forget Havertz.

If this joker let's Liverpool win the title in Slot's first season after all the credit he's got then he needs to hang his head in shame.

Well Sterling not showing up wasn't really a surprise. It was a bit of a strange move.

Trossard isn’t particularly useful if he isn’t scoring goals. His overall game is lacking quite a bit. It was his eye for goal that made such a big impact when they signed him, and its what made him such a huge threat. Without the goals, he’s just out there doing cardio with little to no impact.

Based off what? Hes improved Arsenal that can’t be debated, but he’s spent an absolute fortune and won feck all. The trophy he did win wasn’t even with his squad, he got rid of them.

Opinion remains the same.

If Slot finishes above Arsenal wonder what his excuse will be.

I'm shocked the fruits of these bonding tactics aren't being transmitted onto the pitch.

These excercices have been common at every club and every level for the past 15 years. Some use belts and elastic bands if you want to be fancy with it. I swear some of you have never been near a football pitch...

Out of curiosity, what is being trained here with them holding hands and having a ball each?

He has about the same win percentage there as Mourinho had at United. If they struggle this season, its 6 years the guts of a billion with an fa cup to show for it. I think its make or break for him this season

Some speech about how they must merge passion with the cerebral aspect of the game and how you need both.

I make it sound better than how he put it but I think that's what he intended and seemingly whatever his approach it worked for them.

I wouldn't br surprised if it was an 82 point season.

It can be anything from tussling while dribbling, balance, reaction and directions changes if you instruct one player to go one direction and the other has to quickly adapt and follow without letting go of his hand etc... At least that's what the coaches i've seen do it used to say. All the "friendship and team spirit" stuff is very low in the list and more apt when done with 5/6 players, not 2.

Possible but I think Liverpool would have to fall off quite a bit from their current pace.
I'd say they're a Salah injury away from falling off.

They're the favorites after you but they don't exactly have the greatest depth on their bench.

Thats fair, the thing with Salah is he never seems to ever get injured.
I think the ffp case will remove us from the race. Genuinely think its Arsenal vs Liverpool and for Arsenals sake they need Liverpool to start dropping points asap.

Very much like last season, I think Liverpool will still be up there or there abouts for the next few months at least. I still think their fixtures have been favourable, only been away once vs current top 10 at Arsenal last week, Arsenal have been to 5 for instance and it will be 6 by next week.

I think it'll be after Christmas before we truly know but nothing scares me more in football than Liverpool gaining momentum. They just get on one of these runs and find a way to win all the time (usually through Mo Salah in the 85th minute.) Its infuriating cause you know its gonna happen but still have hope it won't. They get outplayed, for 70 minute, its either 0-0 and they're a goal down and then the ball goes in off someones arse for the equaliser before the inevitable Salah. The feckers like Thanos.

Exact how yesterday went. I watched it live, thought Brighton were the better team for about 75 mins of that game yesterday, but once they got that equaliser you just knew the inevitable would happen.
