It's going to go really bad. There is no way on earth you can give a man with no managerial experience an appointment like this at a big club that is in crisis. What are the Arsenal board thinking of? $$$
I expect him to fail big time there. The job is too big for him and I don't think he'll be able to handle their players moody behavior and inconsistency. He'll be sacked by this time next season.
Who is worried about Arteta?
If my memory serves me correctly, he wasn't even that inspiring back then in Arsenal midfield.
I always laugh at these kind of posts.
Good thing I made you laugh. I hope you'll be laughing too when this happens.
I added to my post. Take a read Nostradamus.

your posts are ridiculous. Shall other posters caveat their posts with “this is just my opinion, and is not fact, and may not turn out to be true, and capital invested is at your risk...”.
you think he will be a success, others think he will fail.
I think he will fail, and be gone within a year (this is just my opinion, and is not fact, and may not turn out to be true, and capital invested is at your risk).
People are fine to have their expectations. If I had said I expect him to succeed and will stay for few years you wouldn't have labelled me "Nostradamus" in a sarcastic way despite it being in a similar manner, maybe you would have liked the post too, so calm down a little bit. You're defending the decision to hire him as if you're the one responsible for it from inside the Arsenal board.
Why would Manchester United fans wish arsenal to do well? Unless you mean well = not getting them relegated?I never said he would be a success or failure. I'm not implying any of that. What I'm reading here is "he'd be a failure" with zero data to backup that statement. We have nothing to judge him on in a managerial capacity so I think saying he would fail or be a success is just, in my honest opinion, highly speculative. We all wish him well obviously and it's what people 'normally' do when someone takes up a new job anywhere.
I can’t explain it but I reckon he will do well there. Arsenal seem to be looking for a head coach rather than a manager and Arteta fits that.
Also usually when there's a overwhelming negative response to a new manager it usually ends up working. I base this of course on nothing at all.

I think we'll end up with Gerrard as manager at some point.PL fast becoming a managerial playground of ex-players. Does Yaya Toure have coaching badges?
That appointment would really take the cake.PL fast becoming a managerial playground of ex-players. Does Yaya Toure have coaching badges?
Slippery slope for LFCI think we'll end up with Gerrard as manager at some point.
Of course it is. Absolutely everything written about him at this stage is exactly that. Given the facts at hand and his current experience, it would be surprising if he were a success - it doesn't mean he won't be, but it's more likely that it'll end in tears than the other way around.Saying he is going to fail is just a massive pre-judgement.

What? The same clueless guy who was Moyes’ assistant?I'd be a bit worried for he and Arsenal if reports Steve Round will be part of his backroom staff end up being true.

I’m sure they can dig up some legends from somewhere: Merse, Adams, Bould,Keown, HenryI thought Ljungberg was moaning about the lack of coaching staff, who will Arteta even bring in?
That’s brilliant. I just remember him with Moyes on the touch line looking absolutely befuddled when we were losing yet again.Yes.
Weren’t we always in the age of ex players managingLooks like we are in the age of ex players now managing.Good luck to him.
Might as well take Campbell too.I’m sure they can dig up some legends from somewhere: Merse, Adams, Bould,Keown, Henry
