Worst signing in the club's history, as far as I'm concerned. £27 fecking million and zero impact. Even Fellaini has had some good spells ffs.
I personally found his Youtube comp quite uninspiring. His goals didn't seem of that high quality with many of them seeming to be up against dodgy keepers. Think he could do well at an Everton, but just not good enough for where we aspire to be. Best of luck to him.Well that didn't go how I thought it would when we signed him. Guess he was a YouTube/Dutch league talent. Though honestly his instagram posts are just about his lavish lifestyle, that kinda gives you insight about him and why this has turned out this way.
Also love how Jose is direct about who he's selling. No beating around the bush.

I agree, though I really thought we atleast had a solid free kick taken in him. I don't think he's even hit one for us.
Memphis' 14/15 season for PSV in terms of goals was a bit odd. 7 were freekicks so from the 22 goals he scored in the league 15 were open play of which a few were headers. Hard to say why he couldn't replicate his set-piece ability at Utd...probably better goalies I guess.

Some people did though. Is this the moment where we all say we always knew he was shit?
Can't argue with that. I was delighted when we signed him and excited to see what he could do here. Now I'm delighted he's leaving, it's a shame. Some people did though.
First Di Maria and then Depay: we should not try to sign anyone PSG is keen on.
Is this the moment where we all say we always knew he was shit?
I can remember the panic when Liverpool were in for him.Nah, probsbly where people say the signing didn't work out and he's nowhere near good enough. And to be fair, plenty at the time of his signing were somewhat skeptical about him.

Funny enough, I think it's the other way round.Looked very promising early doors
Shame how it worked out. Think his attitude has contributed to his downfall more than anything
He clearly has talent.
When he took them, was he even hitting the target or testing the keepers? I seriously cant remember that as the case.
Some people did though.
I think he definitely does have talent, but something has gone wrong for him somewhere. He needs a manager who believes in him. LvG lost faith in him fairly quickly. Mourinho seemingly never had it.

I can't remember him hitting the target with any of them in a United shirt. Blasted nearly all of them high and wide or in to the wall. No idea why he couldn't at least test goalkeepers here, as pre-United he was clearly a very good striker of the ball. Some of his free kicks for PSV were very well struck, right into the corners. To say it's down to dodgy keepers, as some here are saying, is a bit lazy. Go look at his free kicks for PSV. Some of them are very good.
Lots of big clubs were after him when we signed him. It appeared to be the reason we acted quickly, to fight off Liverpool, Spurs and PSG. How did so many misjudge a player's ability so wildly? I think there is a bit more to it. I think he definitely does have talent, but something has gone wrong for him somewhere. He needs a manager who believes in him. Who'd have him? Clearly his attitude absolutely stinks. He's not proven that he can hack it in England despite being here a while so I'd be surprised if a Premier League club took him. Can only really see him going back to Holland where they at least have memory of him not being a complete waste of space.
Mourinho's recent quotes on offers and in particular the transfer fees are interesting.
Was Moyes and LVG partly to blame for accepting reduced transfer fees and Mourinho is not like them or have the board finally woken up to getting interested parties pay up for players they really want.
Back on topic i find it extraordinary that Memphis' attitude has let him down when he talked as if he had the desire to be the best in the world. Hopefully he can fulfill his potential one day and i would not regret it not happening at United and we let him go but the fact that if he does fulfill his potential it will be enjoyable to watch him play.

My friend and I also share his exact birthday lol.I agree, though I really thought we atleast had a solid free kick taker in him. I don't think he's even hit one for us.
If you go to his instagram, it just seems that all the money has got to his head. Now someone like pogba also has posts like that but then again he's so much more mentally stronger.
Also Pogba and I share the exact same birthday, so he's my favourite player
