Good luck to him. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

I think it was pretty clear in the early months that he had certain limitations - the desire to always cut back inside and shoot like he'd been able to do in Holland chief among them, without even mentioning what appeared to be a fundamental lack of footballing intelligence - that meant he needed to really train on to be the sort of player that would make a difference for us. I'm not sure LVG did him any favours by basically betting the house on him tht summer. Maybe if he'd arrved at a more stable club, where he didn't need to be flying within the first week, he'd have come good. I suspect not, though. There's no shame in being a bit short of that level of talent.

The picture with the giant Lion tattoo is exactly his problem, sums him up well. does feck all for 2 years, barely even makes the bench......gets a move to Lyon and still promotes himself like a massive star he's wank.

Exactly.

He will probably do better for them than he did for us because he'll get more game time but good riddance i say.

Seems like a nice lad, just wasn't good enough for us. I hoped he would be great but I just never really saw anything particularly special or exciting there so I'm not too surprised he's moving on.

Never really warmed to him, didn't like his style of play and his demeanour on the pitch, but I hope he does well with Lyon and can kick on. Was never going to make it with us anyway.
