Let's wait and see shall we?They're not going to play together.
Let's wait and see shall we?They're not going to play together.
Don’t know much about Ugarte
Don’t know much the point of Anthony
Don’t know much about the Dutch I took
And I don’t really get Ten Hag’s playbook
But I do know that I feel blue
And I know that if you feel blue too
We should probably go watch City
But that's like 3 weeks away though. That's only 1 game away to be fair
That's been my assumption but I'm not so sure. They're not going to play together.
Oh god it’s getting very confusingI suspect he will play alongside Case. The Mount experiment hasn't worked so we'll move the 'pressing' from AM to DM instead and try a mid block instead of high block.
They will especially when we are defending a lead. They're not going to play together.

Casemiro is on about £300k a week. You can absolutely guarantee he starts every week. That's been my assumption but I'm not so sure.
Sancho is also on £300k+ per week. Is he starting every week?Casemiro is on about £300k a week. You can absolutely guarantee he starts every week.
No you can’tCasemiro is on about £300k a week. You can absolutely guarantee he starts every week.
No but he's not playing either and has been banished for the last 12 months. It's not like they're still trying to find a way to get more out of him. You can bet Casemiro would have the same treatment if they wanted him gone.Sancho is also on £300k+ per week. Is he starting every week?
Sancho's on £300k a week and he doesn't start every week, Antony's on £200k.Casemiro is on about £300k a week. You can absolutely guarantee he starts every week.

It'll be 2 of Mainoo, Casemiro and Ugarte and they'll all stay fresh. Hell, Ugarte probably makes it viable to use Eriksen sometimesCasemiro is on about £300k a week. You can absolutely guarantee he starts every week.
Great point RE Eriksen! It'll be 2 of Mainoo, Casemiro and Ugarte and they'll all stay fresh. Hell, Ugarte probably makes it viable to use Eriksen sometimes
Casemiro is on about £300k a week. You can absolutely guarantee he starts every week.
What number is he gonna wear?
24?
He tends to favour numbers with the number 5, looking from his club and international career so far.
#25 (if Sancho goes), then move to #5 once Maguire departs next summer.
Thats a pretty weird comment considering the likes of Ronaldo, Sancho, Maguire even Varane getting dropped etcCasemiro is on about £300k a week. You can absolutely guarantee he starts every week.
I'll go a step further and say that the midfield should be 3 of Mainoo, Casemiro, Ugarte, Bruno and Eriksen. None of them should be automatic starters. It'll be 2 of Mainoo, Casemiro and Ugarte and they'll all stay fresh. Hell, Ugarte probably makes it viable to use Eriksen sometimes
Not since Ander? It’s going to be incredible having someone with a bit of bite in midfield. Something we have lacked for over a decade.
I just worry about him being in training with the likes of Shaw, Malacia and Mount.

Yep, I think this too. It'll be 2 of Mainoo, Casemiro and Ugarte and they'll all stay fresh. Hell, Ugarte probably makes it viable to use Eriksen sometimes
Tbf Casemiro has a bit of bite. He's just old.
Sometimes not even once a week.I'm sure he has more to offer, but needs managing. Can't be expected to play twice a week
#5 should be reserved for Yoro eventually, unless he doesn't want it
But do you think that fee is realistic in the context of all other players who moved this window?I could actually see ETH try that midfield trio now, with Ugarte instead of Casemiro, like he must have originally planned to.
Probably around 35 million, simply because he's not a player I can see having a long-term key role in our project, as of now, but I obviously hope that's not going to be the case, and also because his value should've diminished a bit more after 1 rather unsuccessful year at PSG.
Me too, but my point is that as part of the negotiations we will have made clear what we are and aren’t going to pay and we’ve ended on a fee that relative to other fees in the market I think represents fair value.Sure that was the report, but like I said I trust Orny more than L'equipe. You are free to think this is a great deal, I'm not gonna rain on your parade on signing day.
That’s the spiritI’m sure Ugarte is a fine player but our ability to turn good players bad is unparalleled.
Reports in Portugal saying Chelsea and PSG are the clear favorites to sign him. I would love to see him in England.
The best compliment I can give him is that we did not feel the loss of Palhinha. I will now compare them both a little bit.
Although I believe Palhinha is the better defender and ball winning player (as shown by his statistics in England this season leading the league) I found it pretty interesting that Ugarte has registered more ball recoveries and completed tackles then palhinha when comparing both of their times at Sporting. He is very good at reading the play and is very aggressive at an attacking the ball which makes a ball handler very nervous. Very brave player who does not shy away from a gritty 50/50 ball.
Although Palhinha is a better passer of the ball Ugarte is clearly better with the ball in his feet and dribbling out of tight spaces. He can bring the ball up better and is more of a defensive B2B where as Palhinha is a pure CDM.
Ugarte is still very young but I would like to see him improve his shooting capabilities more and when compared to Palhinha he is not as much of a threat off of set pieces.
Similarly to Palhinha though he almost plays for 2 in midfield because it feels as though he is everywhere and has a very high workrate. I don’t think he would have any problem with the pace of the EPL and he also showed this at the emirates vs Arsenal when he completed bossed that midfield.
For 45-60M I think he is a great addition to any of the two clubs interested.
Great videos.
I see some reports that there is a 10% sell on clause to PSG should we sell him in the future.
I assume these sell on clauses only come into effect once the amount goes over the amount we bought him for , i.e. if we pay 50M and eventually sell him for 60M , then PSG only get 10% of the 10M excess, is this assumption correct?
It's easy to drop players you didn't sign. When they broke the bank for someone you said yes to it's much harder to drop them, especially when they're considered a senior player on senior wages.Thats a pretty weird comment considering the likes of Ronaldo, Sancho, Maguire even Varane getting dropped etc
