Mourinho's hasn't convinced anyone of that though has he? He's convinced the fans that the current defence isn't good enough which is universally agreed with by almost anyone in football, and he's also explained that it's harder to play attacking football with such a fragile back line as they need added protection, which then restricts our opportunities to commit players going forward. I understand he's already bought 2 of his own which haven't lived up to expectation but every manager has had several big money signings not to adapt, if they don't adapt we need to sell and replace them. The games so far have shown our centre halves are no way near the level required.

Is our defence not good enough to beat Brighton? That wasn't a bad day at the office. That was utter domination by a relegation contender. Is our defence worse than them. Is our defence the reason we can't string more than few moves a game. Is our defence the reason all our attackers play like strangers.
This year we have lost to Sevilla, Newcastle, West Bromwich while barely posing a threat to those teams. Is our defence worse than them.
