Untouchable? There is no United player that is untouchable at this time.

But I do like what I see of Yoro so far. That tackle was for the ages.
Why not? We’re not going to get a comparable talent to come here at the moment, so it’s hardly makes zero sense to sell him or someone like Mainoo.

Agreed. When was the last time a 19 year old was this good so early. Varane perhaps ?
Varane was even better but then I don’t think I’ve seen a center back as complete at 18-19 as Varane… ever? He was like a CB version of Maldini at that age, a finished article with no considerable weaknesses.

He didn’t quite live up to the initial expectations even though he still ended up as an amazing player. But teenage Varane was something else entirely — better than Rio & Yoro.

He must be better than Saliba was at the same age. Surely if Saliba then was at the level of current Yoro, he'd have walked into the Arsenal side that was midtable a few years back and not been out on loan for years?
Saw some graphs earlier this summer which suggested that they were of similar level, Saliba maybe slightly better. Sure it would be in the transfer forum as well.

Great tallent, need to be managed properly especially after coming back from injury.

I think Ruben is managing Yoro's minutes reasonably well, not sure about Mount's though. I would have thought he would undergo similar playtime management before the latest injury.

People don't realise how rare it is for centre-halves to really stand out at 19. He's going to be a great player.

I just hope there are no more serious injuries ahead for him.

Need to see more of him. None of his, slbeit limited, showings have shown attributes that similar to Rio, tbf. Rio seemed faster and more athletic, but that run prior to the tackle was impressive.
He is like 18 or 19. But his playing style, elegance and passing reminds me of Rio

He's class, I hope we don't ruin him like all other decent players coming here.

Have to admit, I was ripping my hair out when he came on as I felt unsettling the back 3 at that point was very risky, but that sprint and challenge on Nunez was special.

He had that stat a few weeks ago where we seemed to concede every time he came on, but clearly it was just a coincidence and I expect we’ll see him in the line up more often with De Ligt and Maguire rotated in the central role, and Maguire and Martinez rotated in the left-sided role (hopefully rarely).

Hopefully - Rio is perhaps my all time favourite centre back, so if he can reach those levels, we are in for a treat!
I think we should remember also that Rio played at West Ham Utd for three more years before he went to Leeds Utd, and only came to Man Utd shortly before his 24th birthday. If he can reach Rio’s level in five to ten years time, hopefully the treat’s ours to enjoy, but fir the moment he is a promising investment more than a great defender.

I like his style, though.

I was stressed when I saw him take the third penalty, but fair play to the lad, cool as ice

Was surprised to see him volunteering for the 3rd penalty at 19 years old and a CB... Then he calmly put the ball in the net with no fuss. Couldnt be more cool

Did very well when he came on, right until the last moment with us winning the game. He'll look better and better with more time.

The guys ahead of him have done well for themselves recently but I'm looking forward to when he's the permanent starter.

Can't remember the last 19 year old defender with the amount of confidence and polish to his game that he already has.

Sky truly might be the limit if he stays fit, got all the attributes and intagibles you need to be a top top defender

He caught me by surprise by stepping up. Fair play! Ice in his veins.

This isn’t a delayed reaction to his tackle last week or the performance in today's game, or the successful penalty. This is something I've felt about this guy all along.
It's about his body language and expression. He plays like an already experienced footballer, he makes decisions and moves with ease. He looks both focused and confident at the same time.

I know it is maybe way too early to say, but the lad is something special. He is going to be a world-class player, on par with Vida and Rio.
There. I said it.
