Jeremy Corbyn - Not Not Labour Party(?), not a Communist (BBC)

So... he has a list of PLP enemies.

And Cameron doesn't have a similar list?

I'm absolutely sick of slice of Labour now. An anti-Corbyn source leaks a list the press. Anti-Corbyn Labour MPs continually anonymously brief a eager right-wing media who tell themselves that they are not biased but simply reporting Labour's ineptitude. I appreciate for instance the regular BBC stories and Kuenssberg tweets about the soaring Labour membership

As a result Cameron is able to give a typical flash man performance at PMQs which fails to address the very real concerns of the disabled and the fiscal concerns of missing the welfare cap, missing the surplus target, etc.

And then the same anti-Corbyn sources brief " what a disaster that was" etc.

The Labout party is in real trouble. Because whilst people like @Ubik have left because of Corbyn, there are people (like me) who will be turned away from Labour by any coup from the right. And look, despite its prevalence in the media, it is probably less than 10 MPs that are truly aggravating, but if they are willing to undermine Corbyn in this week rather than stand up for their disabled constituents they should leave the Labour Party.

I was watching House of Cards last night, it was the one where the Presidential hopefuls and the Veeps have a four way televised debate. I was thinking it would be fascinating to see that in the UK - a roundtable with a decent host and then Corbyn and McDonnell vs Cameron and Osborne. Cant help thinking it would be an absolute train-wreck for Labour if it happened, though who knows, Corbyn might strike a chord with the public the way he did with many during his own party leadership campaign.

Why anyone on Corbyn's team would leak that to The Times, I have no idea. Methinks shenanigans. The anti-Corbyn hysteria has been dying down recently and certain elements will want to keep it alive.

Surprised by some of the positions. How come Sadiq Khan is on the hostile list?
It doesn't look particularly accurate. Mike Gapes on neutral

The question of who leaked it is interesting, though. Reportedly Corbyn's secretary who wrote it, so who else would have access?

I read a suggestion in the Guardian that Corbyn's own team leaked it as a warning to the Jarvis camp, showing that they have enough support within the party to withstand a coup. That seems ridiculous though.

Derek Twigg and Kate Green are both on it twice, in different categories.

That sounds like a made up reason to make it sound like Corbyn or someone in his team had a reason.

There's no way the Corbyn camp would leak it to The Times ahead of PMQs.

Corbyn seems to be growing into the role. Cameron just looks like a poor stand up comedian.

Are Sneijder and Gaitan on the list?

Woodcock typically hostile there.

It's like we're back in 2013 again

What's JC's position on the EU?

If Corbyn were still a backbencher i wouldd put his chances of voting for Leave at 70-30. Unlike some on the Left, he isn't the type to easily overlook the EU's treatment of the Greece (which must be respected). During the leadership race there were hints at Euroscepticism, although this stance has since been softened.

Perhaps she has been busy since getting the job?
Like Richard burgon

Exactly, it's one thing not to have known these details when she was first handed the job, but quite another to walk into that meeting with such a question on your to-do list. The most cursory web search could have enlightened Thornberry.

Does make you wonder how they decided she was better qualified than say Dan jarvis for the role
Afterall with all the talk of new politics I'm sure Corbyn wants the best people rather than playing a big party political game and trying to push through his personal agenda over the will of the majority of MP's and those that voted for them...

Jarvis didn't want to be considered for the shadow cabinet in fairness. Thornberry was basically the only person they could find that was open to doing it and was skeptical of Trident.

Disgraceful. Everyone knows it was Cantona.

Among the most shocking tweets was one that began: "Jews cannot expect us to sympathise with their history under Hitler."

Gurbuz was also a candidate for Warwick Student Union’s Ethnic Minorities Officer, listing in her manifesto a commitment to “Increase awareness of Holocaust Memorial Day”, as well as serving on the Executive Committee of the Warwick Friends of Palestine Society.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism reported the matter to the Labour Party, the University of Warwick, the University of Warwick Students’ Union and the police.

Jonathan Sacerdoti, director of communications at Campaign Against Antisemitism, said: "Our investigations team found these antisemitic tweets on Aysegul Gurbuz’s personal account. There is no defence for that.

"The Holocaust was a uniquely dark chapter of our recent history, when more than 6 million Jews were murdered as part of a plan put in place by Adolf Hitler.

"Not only do the tweets glorify Hitler, they also express hope that Iran will wipe out another 6 million Jews in Israel with a nuclear weapon.
What is wrong with the woman!

Some people need to get a grip on themselves and realise than religion is just a personal belief system. It's not real, it's not fact and one religion is no better or worse than another. Jews have as much right as Muslims to be in this world and their religion is just as important.
