The one sided media all in a rush to talk about anti semitic attacks in Amsterdam when in reality it’s the Israeli thugs attacking Arabs locals.

Maccabi TA fans are quite lucky they didn't do that in France or it would have been even worse. Can't go around chanting Death to Arabs in places like Amsterdam, Paris and Marseille. Especially with the North African diaspora in those cities.

Not that I'm defending the Amsterdam lot but when thugs meet thugs this is what happens and the Maccabi fans are vastly outnumbered.

I think the point the poster is trying to make is as follows:

Did all the fans who were being racist cnuts deserve to get their heads kicked in? Yeah.

Does that excuse the lunatics going around questioning people where they are from and then battering them if they don't answer? No.

The problem I think people have is that the latter problem is being brushed aside. Yes, did the Israeli fans provoke it? Yeah. That doesn't justify mobs going around battering random people.

I think the main issue is how it’s being presented as an international incident by news outlets and even world leaders. I’ve genuinely rarely seen such an insanely uniform perversion of a narrative in the name of a fecking football scuffle.

It’s both. I do agree that the media doesn’t cover both things the same way but it was most defintitely both.

I’d imagine marching down the Edgware Road in London singing those songs would have similar consequences.
Similar to Bruce Willis wearing that placard in die hard…… but willingly doing so

Israel is systematically killing children while they are in their own rooms.
44% of verified victims were children and 26% women. The ages most represented among the dead were five to nine-year-olds.

About 80% of victims were killed in residential buildings or similar housing, the agency added.
You would think it a blood libel if it wasn't so absolutely true, and broadcast to the world. What has happened to them, and us.

Yeah or Wilmslow road here in Manchester.

Israel are playing France on Thursday I think, there needs to be a big police and army presence in Paris for that or this will happen again. Especially if they decide to chant similar things. Thankfully, France usually has more common sense with this sort of thing than the Dutch.

At least someone is doing something.

He should focus on holding Israel to account.

This spineless cnut too.

Predictable, like clockwork. Of course not a mention for the hateful, genocidal bile sourcing from the Hooligans' mouths, nor mention of their racially motivated assault of a taxi driver.

So both Reuters and Axios have reported about Qatar telling Hamas to leave. Where could they go? Apparently they have a financial office in Turkey so maybe there.

This guy makes me sick, he's such an opportunist.

It's so weird that the president of the US and the UK foreign secretary are commenting on football hooliganism that doesn't even involve their countries. But nothing makes sense when it comes to Israel and these countries.

They own our government(s) that’s why

People trying to make the world too black and white when it comes to some of these things IMHO. It's possible both sides were being cnts in their own right. Or one side was in the wrong in Amsterdam and the other side is wrong in Israel itself. Or vice versa. Regardless of the answer both sides are exploiting this by making it a culture war as well. East vs West, Muslim vs Christian or Jew. Either way I'm tired of it all.

I’ve not only been to several games where this has happened and known people caught up in situations exactly like this, I also grew up at the height of the UK football hooligan crackdown where we were constantly shown behaviour like that of the Tel Aviv fans that was treated like a shameful stain on the country and every time English fans abroad - particularly at tournaments - got their heads kicked in it was seen as just comeuppance.

The framing of this has been absolutely insane and completely unlike any hooliganism clash I’ve ever seen. They were away day football dickheads being pricks in a foreign City who got jumped by the home firm and it’s being called a pogrom FFS and our Home Secretary is commenting on it!! Mental shenanigans.
Yep completely agree. I’d suggest that five people ending up in hospital is nothing unusual for ultra clashes in big rivalries in Europe.

I’m actually in awe of how much coverage this has received. Why are there no comments from media/politicians of what Maccabi fans were chanting or their previously expressed views. There has been no problems for Jews in Amsterdam all this time, why did it suddenly kick off when a load of racist football fans came into the city.

It’s genuinely quite radicalising to see virtually the entire media and political ecosystem wilfully misinterpret this so brazenly into an international incident. Let alone one with victims only on one side (and the side that started it to boot!)…. Just maddeningly corrupt. Pure gaslighting.

Like I’m certainly willing to believe this spilled into a more political thing, but… the Tel Aviv fans started that!! THEY were spoiling for a fight, and they got it. If other fans who weren’t involved unfortunately got caught up in it… well yeah, shit, but that’s what happens in football hooliganism! I have friends who had to run into a Cafe and convince the owners to pull their shutters during the Marseille riots at Euro2016 cos they were being chased by Russians just for being English. That funnily didn’t end up being denounced as a hate crime by the President of the United States!

Israel has Killed at least 43,508 people, including 16,765 children.

Israel has maimed, mutilated, injured more than 102,684 people.

More than 10,000 people are missing.

Hundreds of thousands of people at risk of death from starvation, Polio and other affects of Israeli's.

These are confirmed numbers and represent very low figures when compared to overall estimates.

Israel are engaged in an extermination campaign, largely facilitated by the United States and supported by Germany and the UK, amongst others.

And they're mad because a few antagonist got what they deserved. They openly speak about hating Arabs and Palestinians but God forbid if someone says or does something negative towards them.

Unfortunately it will be much higher than that. If the Lancet overestimates, this official figure underestimates. It hasn't really updated in a while because the apparatus of updating the deathtoll is itself destroyed. Israeli media was not refuting these figures when Gazan authorities (whether affiliated with Hamas or NGOs which were there but aren't now) were updating them. But this figure has remained where it is for months whilst other figures, estimates, put it at minimally twice this number. As to the real death toll, my running estimation is about 150k. Lancet is >200k iirc.

The opposite really, I remember England fans taking a load of flak for it.

Isn’t being a WUM banned on Redcafe? I’m reporting you.

Report me all you like. You either lie or you just post without having any idea what's really happening. And turning this into a case of "Israeli thugs attacking Arabs locals" is a blatant lie.

I wrote from the start - I'm not exonerating Maccabi TA fans. I won't even rule out the possibility that a few of them were physically violent, although I don't know of such cases. But from what I also heard from Maccabi fans I know who were there - just regularly football fans, they are not racist, don't song vile songs, don't look for trouble - those were a big bunch of planned attacks on the Israeli supporters and jewish people.

Yes, Arab locals attacked Israelis. And if you say otherwise, you're lying.

Very big of you.

Well no it’s not a lie. Arab taxi drivers attacked. Civilians attacked. Israel singing songs about dead Gaza babies, death to Arabs, Spanish floods. Ripping Palestine flags off windows. Get your head out the sand.

Amir is not a WUM.

On the contrary, his contribution is highly appreciated and his posts are some of the most constructive in this thread.

You're barking up the wrong tree, mate.

Thought the same. Mask has slipped a few times though.
