It wouldn't matter in either case. Netanyahu knows Trump is two months from getting into office, so he can pretty much do whatever he wants irrespective of UN resolutions.

He was doing that when Biden was in power too anyway.
The funny thing is - there might be a better chance of things turning around under Trump.
Trump himself doesn't care about anything other than Trump, so his policies are at the mercy of his advisory council, and they can be bought one way or the other. All someone like MBS has to do, say, is hand Jared Kushner a 300m real estate contract, Elon Musk subsidized server lakes for xAI, and Trump a hug - the US will quickly 'stop sending taxpayer money to Israel' and cut off financing.
Of course it is bonkers to suggest that MBS will suddenly care now beyond his 'we won't recognize Israel without a Palestinian state` stance or that these cartoon acts will be enough to sway Trump's decision or that Israel won't do their share of wooing, but it is more bonkers to suggest that a Dem admin (which despite having nothing left to lose anymore, still won't vote in favour of a ceasefire) was somehow a better choice for anyone who cared.
I digress from the thread, so I'll stop here.
Tbf, that is "a" solution, so he wouldn't be wrong. The Trump solution would likely be a deal with a the Saudis and other regional nations to “resettle” Palestinians, then claim he’s solved the Israeli-Palestinian issue once and for all. See the Abraham Accords from his first term and think of this as a sequel that takes the first deal to a new level.
A tweet I saw a week ago summarized it well: The difference is that Republicans have West Bank settlement wine named after them. Democrats just drink it.There is 0 difference between Dems and Republicans on this issue, it only appears on a superficial level that Dems are better, they stick the knife in while smiling and pretending to care about Palestinians while the Republicans are just upfront about their bias.
It’s very depressing the most left wing America politician holds the same position as Kier Starmer.
I would like to think Bernie would still try to pass it if there was a real chance but that’s just me pure hoping tbh.To be fair-
If starmers actions meaningfully affected Israel's ability, he may not have taken them.
Though otoh it's also a valid criticism of Bernie : would he be proposing this, if there was a real chance it could pass...?
He was doing that when Biden was in power too anyway.
So what do you think is the best course of action in your opinion? This is going to be controversial... but... I think this protest is a stupid idea. They're marching at the border, knowing full well the Israeli's will kill them and that anyone who has the power to do anything about it will turn their back on them and let the Israeli's kill Palestinians for sport.
I support their right to protest, I support their cause, I condemn everything Israel is doing, I don't think Israel has a right to exist UNTIL the Palestinian people get a state they agree too.
However, having said all that, I think the current protest, is just stupid.
