@Mciahel Goodman just to add to this, the most provocative visitors are probably those associated with the idea of building the Third Temple.

I’m not sure if Kahanist MK Itamar Ben-Gvir is explicitly associated with that movement, but he is a vocal advocate of applying Israeli sovereignty to the entire complex. And unfortunately he is apparently planning to visit tomorrow.

(edit):

Thanks, I was trying to read this in connection with your earlier warning about the holy rituals all falling in and around the same time (and against last year's conflict). I don't know enough about the Third Temple issue beyond hardcore American eschatologists (right-wing anti-Semites in many cases) trying to fund it in order to bring about armageddon. It's a weird alliance between the ultra religious Jewish sects and the ultra religious evangelicals (and secular Israeli politicans who mediate the connection because of falling support among leftist Jewish demographics in the US).

This article is pretty old now but gives some sense of the movement -https://www.haaretz.com/amp/.premium-the-temple-mount-has-gone-mainstream-1.5322311

Well he’s been up and left already this morning:

Israeli government on verge of collapse.

Didn't they just have elections and have a coalition? What happened?

The coalition was formed last summer. Was always tenuous with a bizarre combination of parties only united by opposition to Netanyahu (for different reasons). It’s now looking like an ostensibly minor issue will bring it down:

I say ostensibly because it seems more likely that this is just an excuse and there have been behind-the-scenes, Likud-driven machinations to break up Bennett’s party.

Anyway, what happens next…(thread)

Well, this sucks. Netanyahu, luckily, is still far away from returning to power - but the lack of stability is our govenment for years now is awfully damaging.

Another attack tonight, this time in the heart of Tel Aviv:

Horrible scenes. Hoping they catch the terrorists who purposely killed and severely injured civilians.

Some good news at least.

I’ve been to those bars countless times, and I have quite a few friends who live in Tel Aviv. It’s quite literally the centre of an average night out.

Good news for you and me, but spare a second for those who mourn the loss of a freedom fighter, who fought freedom until the IDF put a bullet in him.

Youre rejoicing like you do when the idf kill babies and kids. Yaay for you!

Sorry to disappoint, but no. Happy that the evil piece of crap was sentenced to life for such a heinous crime.
Good to know. Do you think the Palestinians babies should rather be burned with the White phosphorus dropped at them by the IDF from the skies of Gaza?

...You happy that the terrorist last night who killed three and seriously injured others was eliminated?
I am happy that this terrorist in particular is no longer a threat to the civilians in Tel Aviv. But unfortunately we both know the the Apartheid policies will keep provoking such reactions, until the apartheid issues are solved.

Do you now want to answer my question. How do you view the burning of Palestinians babies with the White phosphorus dropped at them by the IDF from the skies?

The last few weeks has the feels of the kind of series of incidents which could result in another intifada. Although the seemingly independent nature of the Palestinian attackers looks to be something novel and so it’s maybe too soon to judge the significance (and people have been predicting a third intifada for years now).

Indeed, I lived about ten minutes walk from the area, just off Rothschild. Love the city.

It's not about your fake apartheid, it's about Islamic nut jobs killing Jews. Thats why this stuff happened way before 1948, way before settlements etc. Thats why it's feck all to do with land and the refugees from Arab ignited genocidal wars, no matter how much you say it is. It's about Jews.

As far as you claims about legally deployed white phosphorus, blame the other Islamic nut jobs who tyrannically run the place.

Seems to be too much of a spate to be lone wolves. Wouldn't be shocked if Iran was behind this (given one of the attacks was during the recent UAE meeting).

Islamic nut jobs wouldn’t be running the inside of the open air prison called Gaza if it wasn’t for your fascistic apartheid regime deciding to promote their presence and their influence.

Thank you for admitting your support for the baby burning “legally“ by the army of the apartheid.

This doesn't help us in the present though does it. Especially given that one side has all the power and other is widely regarded as a terrorist organization from North America to Australia to the EU to Japan. Its therefore unrealistic to expect the side with power to modulate its behavior as long as this construct is in place.

So let me get this right....Hamas - a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood - wouldn't be running Gaza and attacking Israel if it wasn't for Israel's fascism.
Going along with your logic, Israel should go back in then and apartheid it too to save it from...Islamic fascism.

Brilliant.

Nelson Mandella stayed on the US' terror list until recently. It doesn't mean that the regime of the Apartheid kept its respectability. Before the SA apartheid fell, the Israeli regime was the only one still on Botha's side. What brought the Apartheid down was the widespread boycott of South Africa... The West will eventually stand up to these kinds of regimes (including the regime in Israel) if they hold on to power.

The only thing that can spare the world another 50 years of the same would be the Israeli population opening its eyes to what the regime there is inflicting on the Palestinians. But unfortunately, there are no signs of that in the foreseeable future. Since the assassination of Rabin by Netanyahu fanatics, the demonization of peace and justice by Netanyahu has been very successful.

Some of what you're saying may be true, but I don't see how this would advance the present predicament. Ultimately, it will take a lot more than one side crying apartheid and the other terrorism to resolve this.

Good post

Fearless strikes me as the kind of guy who loves watching his countrymen getting killed so he can just have a go at palestinians. If you're not a troll, you should seek help.

Muslim brotherhood weren't focussed on active resistance. Israel supported and funded Hamas.

It's almost like they needed someone to cause problems so they could indiscriminately kill and take over land.

The shame is that people claiming to be civilised enlightened democrats have no problem with war crimes as long as the victims aren't Jewish.

Reminder Passover (Pesach) begins tomorrow which is also Good Friday.

(edit): should say Western Good Friday. Orthodox Good Friday, which most Palestinian Christians observe, is 22nd April.
