Goes back to my earlier point where Buttler could have easily got 20 overs from Livingstone and Root had he kept them going when he had them bowling in tandem. For some reason he took Livingstone off and brought Overton on and he went for 23 runs. It also goes back to the balance of the side and not having an additional all rounder in the team. No need to play Salt and Smith.

I get it but your best player should set the tone for the innings, and should face the most balls. Buttler is one of the best white ball batters of the last 10 years. I've found this tactic baffling for a long while.
