I know that Jose is a big analytics guy... but it is weird that "plays in yellow" seems to be a key stat for him

Nach "Sport Bild"-Informationen gibt es zwischen Manchester United und dem #BVB in der Personalie Henrikh #Mkhitaryan keine Einigung. #BVB

Sport Bild saying there's no agreement between us and Dortmund yet

How interesting. Di Marzio vs Bild.

If the former was correct then his credibility would shoot even higher. Bild is very reputable.

I reckon that Di Marzio got a direct line to Raiola and therefore should be taken both seriously and with caution regarding his clients, since he is bound to agree to being his mouthpiece of sorts in exchange for first dibs on info.

Might be wrong but I think Bild are reliable but Sport Bild where that information is coming from is less so.

As I said, I might be wrong.

This is the point in a transfer where its always best for transfer posters to disengage a bit from the details and just let it happen.

11 goals and 15 assists from out wide in 31 appearances in the Bundesliga last year according to whoscored.

When was the last time we had a proper threat like that outwide? (Barring Martial).

He did play in a much better and more attacking side than ours though.

A quality player with 1 year left will remain in Dortmund for a whole year without a club kidnapping him?

Seriously now?
£26m for a player with 1 year left on his contract is a lot. That's undeniable. Wanyama was in a similar position and went to Saints PL rivals Spurs for a bargain £11m

If another club "kidnapping" him means paying £26m for him, then I highly doubt it. United probably could've dragged it out and got the price lowered or made a deal with the player/agent to sign next year for free with a bigger signing on fee to compensate

Credit to United though, they didn't play those games and just got it done. I don't even care how much United pay for players, it's not my money, but it doesn't change that £26m for a player with a year left of his contract is a lot

waiting for @slig to twist it into a positive after being cocky and condescending towards all of us past few weeks :smirk:

Edit: I request some mod to update the price to €32m in the thread title, so slig gets into rage mode as soon as he reads the thread title

Thx for the honor. I do not believe the sum, obviously coming from twitter or something. Will wait until the transfer is officialy announced, and what fee is reported then. I do not know this twitter "source", and for me the last reported things about the Micki-transfer from kicker seems to be the last most reliable source i was reading. Maybe for the official information we have to wait until the board of BVB got his replacement if there will be one (could also be that we are finished with tranfers).

For United: If its going to happen. Great transfer! As i have written in here sometimes ago, for me its the best player i have ever seen at us. His playing is adorable! And have to laugh about everone in here who writes something clueless like "too old" "too slow" ( ) or something else. Really his skills are great, wiht possesion and with transitions. His defence skills are great. He is such a hybrid of attacking and defensing, being aware of spaces for both things, intelligent on the pitch. Lastly he disappointed me because he didnt want to take the resposibility of shoting the penalty in the cup final against Buy€rn. And this behaviour of his Rantiola is also not good, if you compare it how his time was here: Being a record-buy and needed 2 seasons to deliver what was expected, we always treated him well, giving him all the time with no pressure. Then Tuchel arrived and gets everything out of him, a lot do not understand why he doesnt play at least one year more in this condition as he knows that he got problems with his mental things, self confidence etc., and under Tuchel he solved that completely. Will be interessting how he will be under Mourinho.

26m for the Bundesliga player of the season is a good price imo. Very good signing as long as he continue shis last season form

Oh so he was genuinely voted player of the season by the kicker edition, and assist leader, and in team if the year. Im really happy with this signing.
He was? Haven't read anything about that. Usually that vote is in July after the tournament if I'm not mistaken. Don't think he's officially the German footballer of the year and I highly doubt he'll win that vote.

/edit: he's apparantly the players' player of the season. Didn't even know there was such an award. Has to be something new.

Again, why do you all care about transfer fees so much? We could afford €70m for him, it doesn't matter. The only thing that shout matter to us is how good he is.

He's kicker players' player of the year, although I dont know how relevant that is in Germany.
Yeah, but that's not really the big award. The VDV (the association of the professional footballers in Germany) named Aubameyang their player of the season. Kicker asked the players in a secret poll who their player of the season is and Mkhitaryan won.

The official award, which De Bruyne, Neuer, Schweinsteiger, Reus won the last seasons, isn't out yet.

Obviously Mkhitaryan was brilliant last season, don't want to take anything away from him. But he isn't kicker's German footballer of the year (yet).

Are we getting this guy then? I love watching him at Dortmund, such a talented player.

How is @slig ?

Thanks!

For me, he is basically Kevin De Bruyne - striking similarities between them as players. Like De Bruyne, he has that intelligence where he creates lots of genuine chances per game. At the moment, Mkh, De Bruyne and Payet are the best at that I think. They create 3 or 4 proper scoring chances per game.

If there even was a transfer saga that called for Der Untergang bunker scene with edited subtitles...
