Gary Neville

People would be mad to think that Mazraoui, de Ligt, Yoro and Ugarte won’t be part of the next generation of United under Amorim. It was a great window and we didn’t overpay for any of those players.

Huel have a hard time finding someone as bought and paid for as Neville. He is given far too big a voice for someone with so little to say, and can’t be impartial about any topic.

Agree on the signings

Our defense has been quite good this season despite not having an actual left back.

It’s the attack that are a par below.

In fact it’s many of the existing players who’s performances have dropped off a cliff

Rashford
Dalot
Martinez
Mainoo

And many others blowing hot and cold

100%

Only Liverpool and Arsenal have conceded less all season. Yet the pundits would never mention that on air.

First time I've properly turned sour on him to be honest. Proper wanker commentary.

For United fans here, am I being paranoid listening him that he has a certain type of agenda against the new coach or does he just try to please the audience trying to be more neutral and being harsher with everything regarding United? Reached a point where I had to turn off the sound because I was fed up of listening him.

Didn't watch Sky, was he super depressed that we won?

Both.

What does he want...United dug deep today, showed discipline and never gave up.

It wasn't a classic but by every metric it was a 50/50 match.

He just loves being a negative prick no matter what.

Probably for him being an ex player who won a lot with the club it's difficult for him to watch the things as they are now but Jesus he can be really depressing to listen, he just picks negative things one after another.

At the end, he said something along the lines of "No United fan can say they deserved the win, but Amad did" - no idea what match he was watching, but can't be the same i watched.

There's something about club legends going into commentary/punditry and fans beginning to hate them. Think carragher is the same with Liverpool fans.

It's like, if they dare to have a different opinion or try to seem impartial, fans jump down their throats and say the stupidest things, like Gary Neville hates united.

And i think more United fans like Carra now, atleast i do.

Slightly strong but I dont think his sentiment is. Amad got us back into the game, even if we did improve in the 2nd half we were just drifting to a 1-0 defeat until Amad pounced on the mistake. Then we can say that the team tried to continue to attack and Lisandro was able to play Amad in who did the rest. We had maybe 10 mins where we were genuinely on top and looked the better team, with the goals coming during that time.

All I want for Christmas is for that idiot Gary Neville to never be allowed commentate on a Manchester United game ever again. Please, I’ve been really good this year.

Yep, he’s insufferable. For a bang average player, who was extremely lucky to play in an incredible team, he had a bigger mouth than he really should.

He's completely incapable of being reasonable when it comes to United. If Man City were playing anyone else his reaction would be very different. He'd be praising Liverpool to high heaven for that win.

Especially TAA. He does a reasonable 30 yard pass and GN blurts out world class.

I can guarantee he will find a way to say that in every match he commentates a Liverpool game and TAA is playing and it won't matter how bad he is over the 90 minutes, he'll do one pass and he'll rub one out over it

He’s so insecure about looking biased. His immediate reaction to the winner was what you’d expect but then he just goes back to being doom and gloom.

I'm definitely not in that camp. I don't find him objective at all in his analysis and he spits on girls. Nothing likeable about him

Honestly haven't heard him commentate much, but i like him on the Overlap.
And often agree more with him than Neville when discussing United.

We spent 200 million pounds on five players. Only one of them (Mazraoui) has established himself as a nailed-on starter. One (Zirkzee) looks like a flop. One has been underwhelming at best (Ugarte). It’s not looking like a great window thus far.
Great take there, easy addition to the ignore list.

As for Gary - high profile/low IQ ex-footballer with a big mouth, perfect for media. Any opinion coming form him can be forwarded straight to the garbage, preferably unheard/unread.

He's okay on that to be fair, but he's on many other shows and social media. Can't stand him

De Ligt is a nailed on starter. Ugarte has had a solid start, what are you talking about?

He's many things but bang average and lucky to play in an incredible team is BS, if he was then he'd have never played for so long under SAF's management

Absolute muppet.

Listen to him defend city like his own children

No, you’re wrong. He was bang average, he played a part in a very good team but United would have won just as much without him.
