Gary Neville

I mean it was woeful. Incredibly boring and players from both teams not taking risks. He isn’t the only one to say it. MOTD, The Athletic’s daily podcast, the writeups in the press. I was watching it with neutral fans and the only people enjoying the game were me and the three United fans I was with, the other six were bored out of their minds.
No , seen a lot worse. Because utd nullified Halland etc it's woefull . That's football. Woefull was the playoff final last season Leeds v Southampton.

The Walker/Hojlund incident, his first reaction was ‘oooh, I think that’s a bad one. I did that once to Steve McManaman in a derby and I was off.’
He did, but if you show everything he said, it's a little more balanced. Before he'd seen the replay he said 'It's whether he's made that rock of his head forward." When he seen it in full he said "It's poor from Walker, the initial contact he doesn't go down on. He'll be a little bit embarrassed when he sees that back.' he was also was the only match commentator of the 3 that mentioned the possible penalty on Hojlund. At times, he just needs to relax a bit with the theatrics until he's fully seen the incident.

We offered absolutely 0 going forward until halfway through the second half. It was a very very boring game of football. Just because another game was worse doesn’t mean it wasn’t woeful. EVERY singles football podcast I’ve listened to after from, The Athletic, The Guardian, Tifo, Football Ramble etc all started their segments with ‘what a terrible game of football’. If we were Burnley then fine, but for two supposed top level teams it was shocking for about 70 minutes from a quality stand point.

Carry on watching big games and you get whatever you want to see out of it.. ok G Nev says its woefull its woefull no probs. Away
At City and we didn't attack enough, fair enough . Must do better

"Can you believe he's even considering it" to Forster potentially playing it out from the back

Will this prick just stop whinging and attempt to co-commentate?

How can he say the goalkeeper should be doing better? Also asking why he is using his right hand?

It is pathetic actually from Neville, honestly .

What is wrong with him, just say it's a foul on keeper.
He's so desperate not to be seen as pro-United, either that or he's literally never caught anything in his life before and so doesn't understand that you can't catch something if your arm is pulled out of the way.

I know it’s been said before. But Gary Neville is a pretty bad commentator but he’s insufferable when he commentates a United game.

I know Gary you want to sound neutral but my god, you can give some credit when United do well or get hard done by.

Yes of course, it would have been impossible for him to maintain that position having seen the replay. My issue was how he initially went there in the first place. Especially given the game today, with players on the floor for anything. What actually happened was always far more likely than what he initially suggested, and it turned out to be the case.

Gary is an absolute twat, he is an awful commentator when utd are involved but he always brings an agenda he never comentates on the game but what he is expecting to see and his talking points. He also never backs up utd it is always the keeper had to be stronger not that is a foul
