Gabriel Jesus | Signs for City

He's a striker. If you want a reference, you can think in Griezmann, I guess. But Gabriel is a much better prospect, obviously. Technically, Antoine is very limited with the ball. Jesus has a lot of fantasy and can make a decisive move in the final meters.

I don't want a loan. He can learn and play a lot with Ibrahimovic as our main striker.

If he is close to going to City then what does the resolve of these two guys do?
He's further in negotiations with them. Once everything is agreed i don't know how long they'll wait for us to get our shit together. Pep has had a talk with him and sold him his vision. Mourinho would need to persuade him to come here instead.

If we are interested i'd rather we don't wait a couple of days to get our bid accepted and start negotiating his contract.

It's all speculation etc but if there's a chance we can get him i want us to act quickly.

It should be noted that if he were to leave; the reports are that he wants to stay at Palmeiras at least until December/January.

You can City getting both ? For some reason I can't, especially with the likes of De Bruyne, Sterling et al already in the mix.

See, sorry, getting a bit late here. I think Pep will want some quality depth and options on the bench, so in that sense it makes sense to me. Plus, they have the money and they would view him as a long-term option

I have no idea if we'll get him but I agree with @Rozay Players use clubs to get a batter deal at times but you can't fabricate bids so that another team simply bids against itself.

I think we need to get in early for potential player, I don't mind that we pay more to hijack this deal. He seems to be a really creative player who can play both flank.

He reminds me of Suarez. He has pace, can dribble well and very clever in the box with his movement.

He can be a back-up for any of our front 3. But eventually, I see him as a pure striker. He is also well built for his age which will help him in the EPL.

Well we're definitely in for both so I can't see any reason why we won't get them both.

Looking at his agent's comments, looks like he's off to City then. Shame, I really wanted him, and thought it was on since everyone was saying the paper that linked us to him was reliable.

Conversation with City's manager will probably have sealed it. Always used to work for fergie. The personal touch says a lot to a player.

I still want us to get him. But with PL-gazillions being thrown around now, it's increasingly unlikely. We had one expensive youngster already this transfer window.

Altough the United links to him are kinda fake (to me) he looks like a World Class player in the making. He is young but unlike many youngster he has a tactical plan in his head. He looks around him, he waits, he passes. Besides that he is a Decent Dribbler and Okay shooter. And he is only going to improve those things, could be a World Class signing in the make for City.

Just heard he signed with City. Will join them in January.

Would be perfect for Pep. This is not the Jose-type signing. If he develops properly, he could cause lot of problems for other teams in league.

Wouldn't it be a bit easier for a young Brazilian to first come to a new club and country when it's not freezing cold and the weather even shittier than in the summer months?

Something to do with Brazilian league season I guess.

City will have quite the team if they sign him and Sane, linked up with De Bruyne, Silva, Aguero, that are alot of very good attacking options

It sucks they get both and we get none

They have hoovered up the best young forwards on the market this summer in Jesus, Moreno and Sane. If they all go through of course.

Oh yea, that one too. Dembele looks a problem.

In any case, we got the best last summer, and found another in Rashford since then, who I'm sure isn't necessarily inferior to the likes of Jesus.

..and Mor. Ye, we can't complain with Martial and Rashford. Along with the others in different positions it's looking notasobadeh.

Sterling aswell... He didn't have a great season but he's still young and has high potential.

City won't be able to give each of them the game time that they want and I can see a number of them go down the Gotze route. Wouldn't be surprised to see Sane trying to revitalise his career at Schalke in 3 years time.

Rotation and cup games isn't enough game time for potentially exciting youngsters and they are making a big mistake if they choose Man City.
