Gabriel Jesus | Signs for City

Its a club who can get the best players in the world. United are the most famous club in the world and we can attract big names even if we dont got CL. To be fair, we are one of the big. After us its Real, Barcelona and Bayern München. City has some way to go to get in our league. Some great years with money from rich owners dont change that.

Aguero is a great player and a loyal one as well. Not many like him in anymore.

United have failed to sign the biggest players in the world way more than they have succeeded! Fabregas, Ramos, bale, Neymar, Hazard, Muller, I mean I've lost count. City who are undoubtedly a smaller team, even now, probably have a better hit rate. But you go on believing what you want mate.

Also we don't lose our best players unlike United so to suggest Jesus will go to a bigger team after a few years is just wishful thinking most likely.

Wums, not sure why these cnuts are allowed on here tbh.
I quite like them. I mean, seriously what motivates you to come to a rival fan forum to protest about all that is good with your club as if you're going to get any sort of traction.

His life must be quite insular and boring. Pity.

You'll get over it mate. Have a drink, sleep on it, tomorrow's another day.
No need for your condescending tone here mate. If you must insist on it, you should feck off to Bluemoon like the rest of your tiny fanbase.

Thats a pretty random list you got there. Only Hazard was close to signing so you can count that as a miss. You say City has a better hit rate. Which are those best players in the world which came to City in recent years.

Some of your biggest profile signings didn't even know your team existed and thought they were joining United.

Every time Pep is mentioned in negative way even slightly he pops out.

Who are these players that you have managed to sign that were big names at the time they joined you?

Your hit rate of signing top players is zero out of zero.

They are incredibly thin skinned.

Bluemoon worthy post right here. How delusional

And from the youtube videos I watched of Jesus he looks a talented player. Be interesting to see if City loan him straight back to Brazil or decide to add him to the squad.

Depends what you mean by recent but De bruyne, Aguero, Silva were all wanted by big clubs. I wasn't even trying to compare though I was just responding to a very strange comment that it's inevitable Jesus will be off to a 'big club' in a few years which considering we haven't lost any players we want to keep is strange.

But come on re those names you know United were in for them. Are you seriously denying you weren't in for fabregas, Ramos, bale, Muller etc.

You're blinded by how good they've been since they joined. None of those would have made a top 10 list in their position when you bought them.

Also it's not the point you made before; you're not even linked to the very best, let alone in the running. You had a hard on for Pogba last year, but that didn't work out did it.

Depends what you mean by being in. For instance I dont remember United being seriously in for Bale or Muller. Ramos we used in DDG saga, in the end we kept DDG. We were interested in Fabregas, but never made a bid.

As for your first argument you said we miss out on biggest players in the world and that City has a better hit rate. So I assumed you meant hit rate in best players in the world part. None of them were that when you bought them.

You don't think Aguero was a top 10 striker when he was at atleti or silva as a 10 at Valencia? Or even de bruyne, who had ten highest assists in Europe and player of the league in the bundesaliga wasn't in the top 10 attacking mids?

And if we compare that to the world class talent United have signed in the last 5 years who are? Yet I'm blinded.

We went in too late for Bale his heart was already set on Madrid. Fabregas I believe we could've got if we offered more money but we had useless Woodward (at the time) and dithering Dave. Ramos used us to get a better contract and Madrid were not in a position to sell him shit happens at least we tried etc. Bayern were never going to let Muller leave. That transfer was just an LvG wet dream. How can you criticize United for failing to get big players when we've just signed Zlatan, Miki and about to sign Pogba? City missed out on him btw.

Also De Bruyne, Aguero and Silva were not among the best players in the world when City bought them.

I'm not criticsing United for anything, I was responding to a poster. I don't think Zlatan at 34 is a bigger signing than Aguero or Miki than silva or de bruyne who are and were both bigger talents. Pogba is huge yes but still one for the future more than being like a ronaldo or bale ready made talent.

Anyway look back at what I was responding to for my post to have relavanve.

United have signed three world class players in the last month.

City have signed a cripple and journeyman Spaniard.

What happened to your well earned three stars on your badge.:lol::lol:

Don't know why this has to turn to a slugfest between City and United?

Straight outta Bluemoon this one. Probaly the dumbest thing a Citeh fan ever said. Zlatan was a bigger talent than those 4.

Because the signing of a Brazilian prospect who precisely zero City fans knew anything about a month ago and who will be loaned back to his Brazilian club means Pep is God and Portuguese Eye Gouger RAG RAG RAG or something.

He'd stay at Palmeiras at least until December is what is reported.

All fair points but if you really did state that United might still be the bigger club then anything you have said or will say will immediately be discredited after such a stupid statement.

For about 3 days I've been wondering to myself 'who's this Jesus kid everyone says is destined for greatness and on the way to City,' but not bold enough to ask outright. It was bloody Gabriel Jesus this whole time..

Nice legit list, I mean Hazard was the only one I can think of who we were seriously after, I'd like to see a list of all the BIG names that City have "hit"?

All of the players you've mentioned are within the last 3 years which have been miserable for United. With the exception of Hazard, all of them belong were already with top clubs as well so of course signing them is going to be difficult. Most of your "big players" are in the last stages of their career. If Aguero had managed to stay somewhat healthy he'd probably be playing for Madrid right now.

Basically out of that list, the only player we didn't sign is Hazard because SAF was being cheap and didn't want to pay the agent fees. He then chose to sign Bebe so definitely a big mistake on his part there.

The rest of the names are linked to the two managers who are best forgotten. Also short of paying crazy amounts of money like the Ronaldo deal, the odds of getting top players from top European rivals is zero.

Both Manchester clubs have signed great players, but none of the two has signed any of the biggest players in the world from top clubs. Also Jesus will either be a failure, be mediocre and remain at City, or be great and get poached by Barca/Real unless that fax machine magically breaks down on transfer deadline day. Who knows, just sit tight and watch.

I don't believe these reports that we were after him, Pereira was better that him in the U19 tournament last year, if we have no room for Pereira then surely there no room for him

Pereira started from the bench for majority of the tournament. He had a good tournament but not better than GJ

Aguero and KDB were

Looks a very average player on youtube. I'd be more worried about him leaving for a shitty spanish side in 3 years time than Barca coming in for him if i were a city fan.

Pep is probably the best brand in football.

His name alone will bring players to any team. Should of went to PSG, not City. PSG was made for pep

Nope it's City that is made for Pep literally. Ever since his 2 former Barca colleagues arrived at City everything has been working towards getting Pep as the coach and providing him with everything he needs to succeed
