A fantastic season for Redcafe FC. Promotion to the PL at the first time of asking and managing to achieve it as Champions! They did have a net transfer spend of 251m which was 220m more than Sunderland who were 2nd on that front but...who cares! This was actually the first season which they didn't have the highest salary in the league per annum. They were in 7th place with a salary of 40m per year. The team they managed to pip to the title, Wolves, were top with 70m. They may need to up that next season as most teams in the league are operating at a level of 100m+. If only Solinho didn't leave the club they'd have a dream eleven from midfield to attack with user players. They have steadily improved their average attendance. Although it says 6000 that includes the whole season. I'd say since the capacity change they were operating at roughly 9000. Their oldest player this season was only 29 so it's a young squad that Elstob is working with, perhaps helped by the Caf crew who are only just 20/21! They overtook Wolves in the latter stage of the season in both position and goals scored with 87 goals in the league. They did concede a pretty poor 55 goals though and only had 10 clean sheets. Defence and GK are positions that probably need upgrade in the Summer, unless they decide to just fill the other midfield spot up and go for the method of if you score 2 we will score 3.

The cups were a bit of same old story. Some excellent performances which meant that they went deep into both the FA (5th Round) and EFL Cup (QF) but they were stopped by two teams you'd arguably expect them to beat, Burnley and Plymouth. With a bit of investment into the squad they should be able to rotate more and cope with both league and domestic competitions. They've still not won a cup yet!

Elstob.png

Overview.png

Finally! The main man is in the PL but he's also managed to win the MOTY award in the Championship. His first major individual award and it's fully deserved. VNN > VNL > League 2 > League 1 > Championship > PL in 5 seasons. It did help to get bankrolled and have some of the best players to ever exist at the same time at one club but...he did it! :lol: Elstob has managed to get his win percentage back up to 59% and his side reached the 500 goals tally over their whole career this season too. I still worry a tad about how much his teams concede but his fluid attacking style wins more often than it loses. I am a little surprised he's not been snapped up by another club yet / they haven't tried to. Perhaps when he starts making his name in the PL it will be of concern for the owner. He's still on his 2k per week contract so needs a pay rise surely!

@The Cat

Cat.png

Poor Catman Jones. He was on course to having a season which was back to his best. He won Welsh YPOTY for the 2nd season in a row, he was topping the average rating charts for the Championship with a staggering 7.81 rating and then he gets hit with a brutal injury which put him on the sidelines for the rest of it. He is slowly getting better though. Prognosis is that he should be back in the summer at some point. Not sure if he will manage to play any friendlies but I expect him to be back for the first PL game, if not available by the first international break. He should get his first Wales call-up when he's better. He was also named club captain by Elstob! Well in Captain Cat.

He's disappointed about his injury but is optimistic for the future. He also thinks Seb Sheep is a vital member of the side.

@sebsheep

Seb.png

It was inevitable that he would return to England at some point in his career but I don't think he or people would have expected that it would be via the Championship again! Seb Sheep is the ultimate creative midfielder. 11 goals and 14 assists in 45 appearances from central midfield. A delightful player and a shoe-in for the Championship team of the season. His move may have cost him is place in the England squad this summer for the Euros but I think he will be called up as soon as the club enters the PL. He was named as vice-captain for the club so he's been on captain duties with Catman out injured.

He has the highest rep of any player at the club and is a fan of David Pejicic.

@hobbers

Hobbers.png

I think it's been a disappointing season for Hobbers overall. He hit his poorest tally in the league and cup competitions since his VNN days and again failed to manage the 20 goal barrier in the league. He did provide that in overall goal contributions but for a player who prides himself on goals, he'll be working hard over the summer to make sure he is firing in the PL. He has been getting regular call-ups for Scotland and is going to be playing their International friendlies over the summer as they're not involved in he Euros. According to the media he's already a star player for his country. :lol:

He thinks Seb Sheep is a vital part of the team.

@harms

Harry.png

Fair play to Harry. We laugh about him a bit but he's actually forged a pathway into a very dependable and solid player. Aye, he will get 10+ yellow cards a season but he will also chip in with his fair share of goals and assists from that deep lying position and will put in the performances to match it too! He's achieved his highest average rating of the save so far and broke the double digit barrier for goal contributions in the league and all competitions. He narrowly missed out on the yellow card record in the league by 1. The record in the PL ususally hovers around the 10 mark so he has a good chance of beating it. He's been playing a bit for the English U21 side so I wonder if in future we may see him in an England senior squad or on the periphery.

He also thinks Seb Sheep is a vital player.

@Heine

Heine.png

No need to worry about Catman when Heine Ken is your other winger. He's picked up the mantle and became the main man. The player that regularly underperformed his metrics is now outperforming them and then some. 20 goals and 6 assists in the league and an average rating of 7.74 made sure that he was named the YPOTY, the POTY and the top goalscorer of the Championship. The triple crown. :drool: He broke the 30 goal contribution barrier in all competitions for the 2nd season in a row. He's also been called up for the Netherlands squad for the first time! They are in the Euros so I'll keep an eye on it.

Media opinion is that he needs to find a new club...

He also thinks Seb Sheep is a vital player.

@Solius

Sol1.png

A really strong season for vice-captain of Palace, Solinho. He won the YPOTM on three occassions and I think he can feel a tad unlucky to have been pipped to the YPOTY by Roony Bardghji considering their positions and impacts to their teams. Solinho and his Palace side finished 11th in the league compared to Roony and his Spurs side that finished 12th. 11 goal contributions in 28 appearances for the side gives Sol plenty of room to build upon and as seen, he's been making his mark for Brazil and most of their teams too! He played for the U22 side in the Pan American Games where they finished 3rd and he won the Pre-Olympic Tournament with the U23 side. I think he is in contention to play for their Olympic side too so will see how that turns out for him and them.

@TheReligion

Carlos.png

Tricky to say much again for Carlos as he's been sitting on the bench for Milan for most of the season but he is now a double winner! Milan once again won the Serie A and Coppa Italia (Sorry Seb). He is slowly developing so I think a team can still get something out of him but he just needs to play consistently now. He's roughly hitting his metrics so a side should be able to get 10 goal contributions out of him at least if he gets a run in the side. You may notice the wanted tag on Carlos. Spurs want to bring him in so we may have all players in the PL next season...

@Enigma_87

Wilder.png

I thought Wilder would become one of the best players in the save at one point but the move to City has really hampered him and he's a bit lost like Carlos these days. He stayed at City for the whole season after an excellent loan spell with Palermo and it's back to being out of the International side and on the loan list for him. His U21 performances show that there is a real talent waiting to be unleashed but the longer he stays at City the further that is from becoming a reality.

The media believes he needs more regular club football and he hopes that being available for loan leads to more first team experience.

Also, not sure anyone else will care but I made some small tweaks to UI and logos and stuff and it looks so clean now. :drool: It's kind of made me more annoyed that FM25 isn't coming out as the potential to involve AI and custom edits for the game is huge and would make it so much better.

Is the player name anywhere on the screenshots or is that a feature missing from the skin?

Aye, it's not on the skin. It's in the search bar at the top. Can do a full screenshot if you prefer but I think it looks nicer without the other buttons.

@altodevil @Stobzilla just putting it out there from a position of strength that I'm happy to come back if you'll have me. With the half price buy back I asked for I'll only cost £48m now and it might cost more later.

My development has been much better due to playing higher up, plus I was jetlagged when I made the decision to leave.

No surprise the Welshman likes the sheep.

@Heine Heine Ken has started his International career on fire with 4 goals in his first 3 caps. 2 goals against Portugal, 1 goal against Austria and 1 goal against Israel to dominate the Euros group stage.

@Solius Solinho lost with his Brazil side in the Copa America to USA in the QF. Penalty shoot-out. 2 assists with an average rating of 7.35 across the tournament.

2016 was the year of #Pogback. 2028 is the year of #Solback. Brazilian coffee is back on the menu at the Cafe. :drool: Before Solinho issued his come and get me plea to Redcafe FC, the chairman was already plotting a move for him, enquiring about how a transfer could be facilitated. He was willing to put the bad blood behind him and ensure that the Caf had the solid base in midfield needed to maintain PL status. With Solinho now back in the mix the formidable front three now have a competent and productive midfield three with Tackles, Sheep and Solinho to outscore and outshine any opponent in the league.

Early predictions are good for the club. With the media putting them just inside the top 10, they shouldn't be trouble with a relegation battle and have the platform to build the club in areas which they have lacked, such as the facilities and finances. Perhaps this may now be the year they can put their cup woes behind them and win either the EFL or FA Cup?

Stats.png

Squad.png

A very respectable first season in the PL for Redcafe FC. They are in contention for Europe and have had some decent performances against the big sides with a draw against City and win vs United. They seem to have a Carabao Cup curse though as they once again lost in the QF. This time against last seasons nemesis Wolves who beat them 2-1. Their top players are firing however and have double digit contributions in all the metrics that matter to them individually. Yes, you know what that means. Solinho, Hobbers, Ken, Sheep and Jones all have 10+ goal contributions and Tackles has already hit 10 yellow cards! The team stats are roughly on par with league position so a top 10 finish seems like what will happen with a narrow chance of Europe. Catman is back and firing for the Caf and has received his first call-up for the Welsh National Team. He's played 4 games and scored 1 goal.

Mourinho has taken over as England manager but no route back in for Sheep as of yet and Tackles remains the only player from the Caf not to have a Senior National Cap yet.

SR Wilder is playing for Bulgaria but sitting on the City bench. He's back on the loan list.

Carlos is a weird one. He got a massive new contract in the summer so is on 145k but he's only made 2 (1) appearance for Milan so far this season.

Good to see that we are doing well. A nice season now and then onto top 4.

where's van attenhoven?
Will do. That's 40m. I forgot to change his future transfer and he left in the summer. Since I forgot I'll be nice and tell you he'd be the worst keeper at the club if you brought him back. Still want him?
