Season 3

Club-Overview.png

Mawissa.png

A few changes this summer for the club. The chairman was unhappy with how much money was being spent so dramatically reduced the youth recruitment at the club but did give a small upgrade to the club training facilities. They're overwhelming favourites to get promoted from League 2 so Elstob has one task and one task only!

They brought in Christian Mawissa from Toulouse for 2.4m to be their CB alongside Georgiev. Jack Simpson, one of the clubs highest earners on 21k per week was let go for free.

SR Wilder is wanted by several League One sides on loan so might get a move this summer.

Why is our captain 22 years old and earning 1/16th the wages of our vice captain :lol:

Transfers.png

Well, @altodevil asked for a transfer ban. :o

Carlos and SR Wilder stay at Swansea and City for this window at least. Carlos is managed by Lampard and he doesn't appear to rate him. SR Wilder is teased by City with a loan but now they've taken him off the loan list so we will see if they play him a bit this year.

@sebsheep though...he's traded London on deadline day for...

Seb.png

Milan! Our second big club but first big move. He started the season strongly with QPR and Milan pulled the trigger for a cool 20m.

On to January.

Winter-Window.png

Mid-Season-Stats.png

Last season they didn't draw games, this season they don't lose games. Catman Jones once again being unreal and Harry Tackles making sure he's in contention for the yellow card record! Normal service is resumed.

Carlos is stagnating at Swansea because they won't play him and SR Wilder is getting game time for the U21s again but Pep is being a wanker and has put him back on the loan list after giving him one or two senior sub appearances. He really needs that loan move. Seb has made a timid start to life in Milan with a handful of appearances as a starter and a sub.

@altodevil any changes? If not I will sim to summer tomorrow.

As a fan of this club, I'm appalled at that youth recruitment! Does the club not focus on youth anymore? :(

I hope Harry knows how much is at stake here. He can’t afford to miss out on the first place two years in a row and I do not care for the injuries excuse last season. You go onto the pitch son and you get booked, it’s that simple.

Club-Stats.png

They were pushed to the end of the season but they managed to make it over the line, those many draws probably made the difference in the end! Despite not dominating the league, it was a very strong season across the board individually for the Caf crew. Average attendance once again went up and they are pushing above 3000 each week while cup competitions against higher division sides usually end up with them filling out the stadium.

They picked up early wins in the EFL Cup against League 2 Accrington and League 1 Port Vale but were drawn against SR Wilder's City in the Third Round and lost 0-2 at home with Wilder making a sub appearance for City.

In the Bristol Motor's Trophy they finished 2nd in their group, once again against SR Wilder and his City U21 mob. SR Wilder scored in a 2-2 draw. They lost to Salford in the 2nd Round.

In the FA Cup they had a great little run beating Tamworth (3-0), Derby (3-1), Burton (3-2 with a Hobbers hat trick) and then drew 1-1 against Premier League Leicester City in the Fourth Round. The replay unfortunately didn't go to plan and they were smashed 0-4 but at least it put some money into the club balances.

The Best Eleven is now fairly settled with the Caf lads and in the 4-3-3 formation with Tackles at the base, Solinho as a more advanced of the two and the attacking trio making up the rest of the side.

They ended up selling and letting go of quite a few players but haven't made many signings this season. I think that there may be some FFP issues with the League as I know from playing in them that they're more strict in those lower EFL leagues.

Their settled side though has bags of goals in it and they achieved 79 in the league, with the next best side only managing 63. On the conceded front, they let in 41 goals, with the best side in the division Cambridge only letting in 35. The defence is perhaps an area which is in need of constant improvement? They topped the possession stats again and upped their pass completion this season so the tactical switch and improvement of players seems to be making a difference.

Two of their Best Eleven players, Camara (CM) and John (RB) are out of contract this summer so it remains to be seen if they will be retained or let go.

The Manager

@Stobzilla

Elstob1.png

Elstob2.png

Another solid season for the gaffer. Two league titles in a row and steadily improving his craft. The chairman has noticed his hard work and given him a small payrise, taking him to 2k per week which is a £400 increase on his previous wage. Perfecting the Beckham look isn't cheap. A shrewd operator who doesn't spend much money and likes to play youth. The caf, aside from the user player contingent have some nice youngsters in the club and Elstob makes sure they're noticed, giving them ample game time in the cups and sub appearances in the league. His win percentage has gone down a tad this season so he will be hoping to get that back over the 60% line next season but other than that, he'll be pleased with his start.

He missed out on the Manager of the Year gong to Jonathan Woodgate who finished 2nd with Chesterfield. Did pick up two MOTM awards though.

User Players

@harms

Harry1.png

He's back baby! Harry Tackles is a certified bruiser. I asked for 15 and I got 15. No red cards but he made sure to top the charts once again in the League. Got over the 20 yellow card line in all competitions too with 2 in each of the cups. Good work. Aside from that he put his injury problems behind him and made 47 appearances as a starter in all competitions including 37 in the league. 3 goals and 6 assists show that he's a player that's capable of adding more to his game than just yellows! I do like that he has a respectable tackles won % despite his poor discipline. :lol:

He will feel left out as he was the only Caf User player to not make it into the League 2 TOTY. As it is voted by players, he will probably regret leaving one on all of them.

He hopes that the club will retain the services of his midfield partner Camara.

@The Cat

Cat1.png

Catman is on his way to the top as a certified Redcafe FC legend. Another season which you run out of superlatives for with 14 goals and 14 assists in 42 (4) appearances and a rating of 7.64. He once again topped the average rating and POTM (18!) charts in the league but he missed out on the assist record to Arthur Read of Colchester (who?) who smashed it by managing 23. I doubt Catman will care too much as for the 3rd season in a row he was named the Supporter's POTY for Redcafe and the POTY in the league. I'm surprised he hasn't made any appearances for Wales yet, either at senior or youth level. Perhaps Bale and Giggs are involved and are afraid of being surpassed as the best Welsh player of all time!

He also hopes the club retain Camara.

@hobbers

Hobbers1.png

He was pipped to the top goalscorer award last season and Hobbers made sure that he wasn't this season, achieving 22 goals and beating 2nd place by a goal. He also chipped in this season a tad more with 5 assists to his name. An impressive performance in the FA Cup added a further 5 goals and he rounded that off with another in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy to reach 28 in all competitions. He will be itching to break that 30 goal barrier in the future. He now has a 1 in 2 record to his name so it's now time to continue backing it up. If he continues by the time the club reach the Championship then he'll be expecting a Scotland call-up.

He also thinks the club should retain Camara.

@Heine

Heine1.png

Heine just gets about his business with no fuss. 10 goals and 3 assists in the league with an average rating of 7.50. Where Hobbers and Catman provide in goal contributions, Heine contributes in the wider sense of the game I think. The hidden areas you perhaps don't see unless you're watching game to game. He steadily improves each season though and I think at some stage I would expect him to explode and give a top tier season that will be remembered. He won the Young Player of the Month award in January and picked up several POTW awards during the season. A reliable player that Elstob will be glad to have. Basically plays every single game.

He also wants the club to retain Camara.

@Solius

Sol1.png

Another solid season for Sol to back up his breakout year in the VNL. 7 goals and 9 assists in 28 (11) appearances in the league with a rating of 7.16. He didn't play too well in the cup competitions but he did enough in the league to be named in the TOTY. He was named in the TOTW on 4 occasions so he's respected by his peers and gives them a nice platform in the middle with Camara and with Tackles at the base. Tends to be bang on in terms of xG and xA too. Not much else to say about him really. Needs to keep it up and try to break into those Brazilian youth teams.

He is enjoying being at the club.

Subtle dig from me at Camara. Probably because that cnut stole my fastest goal record.

Is it possible to see the end of seasons stats from the squad screen each time? So we can see minutes played, goals, assists, etc.. alongside each other?

Yep thanks! And if you customise the columns and shorten where needed (and then save as a custom view) you can get all sorts of data in there. If you need I'm sure the screenshots sent during my experiment show the kind of stuff you can add.

Incredible work. You can see why I'm going for the cheaper signings. Good work by Stobzilla identifying the weak spots.

Retain Camara! (Who the f is Camara? Obviously we like him)

I need to be better in front of goal, under 10 goals on 17 Expected in the league is not good enough

Happy to do that for whatever columns people would like added. I'll check those screenshots.

I've just noticed that @sebsheep is in a playoff with AC Milan to determine who wins the Serie A as they finished on the same points as Napoli...

Serie A rules are strange with the playoff thing... Ran across that in a journeyman save :rolleyes:

My guy is really turning into a great winger I think, and I believe he (me) should really have a breakout monster season soon. He's really turning into the type of winger I hope to find in my own games and I hope the size (Jumping Reach) I gave him will have an effect on some backpost headers

I do like that he has a respectable tackles won % despite his poor discipline. :lol:
I like to imagine that he’s actually a clean player that simply tells the ref to do one every other game just to keep up with his fearsome reputation. The lack of reds seems to indicate that he’s very much in control!

Other Players

@Enigma_87

Wilder.png

He got his loan move in the end and moved to City Group owned Troyes in Ligue 2. He played on the RW for them and made 4 (10) appearances for the club and picked up 2 goals with an average rating of 7.40. Still not quite getting the game time he would hope for though and after perhaps starting the brightest in the experiment along with Catman, he's stalling a tad. He does play for Bulgaria though and is involved with their World Cup Squad so I will follow that journey. Interestingly he plays RCM for them rather than out wide!

@TheReligion

Carlos.png

Carlos1.png

Carlos is finally getting some games. Lampard was sacked and the new man at the helm fancies him in that CAM spot and he's managed to get 16 (3) appearances in the league with 4 goals and 1 assists. His minor exploits have turned heads across Europe and he might be on the move this summer to a bigger club. According to his profile he's ignoring the speculation and still wants to become part of the first team at Swansea. I would probably expect him to move though. With a value between 6 and 18m I expect Swansea would prefer the funds that he could potentially bring in and Carlos would probably prefer a European adventure to try and get his name out there.

@sebsheep

seb2.png

Seb actually ended up being one of the worst players on the pitch for Milan but they ended up winning 2-0 away from home to take a slender lead into the second playoff game where they would be at home.

seb3.png

A narrow loss but we have our first major domestic champion! Well done Seb. He wasn't involved in the game though. Why? Read ahead...

So, I didn't realise that Serie A changed rules regarding Playoff games if two teams finish on the same points at the end of the seasons. Brutal way to determine a Champion!

seb1.png

Here he is. The first major domestic champion. Not only that but they also won the Coppa Italia beating their major rivals Internazionale in the final. A domestic double it is for the Sheep in his first season at Milan. He did well too, making 6 assists and 1 goal in 22 (8) appearances with an average rating of 7.08 in the league. His domestic exploits got him the call-up for the England U-21 squad and he was one of the best players during the U21 Qualification rounds with an average rating of 8.00 and 3 MOTM awards. In turn, he got his first Senior call-up and appears to be in the squad for the upcoming World Cup (He was playing a friendly during the 2nd playoff game for Milan). Will keep an eye on that this summer.

Personally I think he's gotten his big move too early. A Sancho-like path for him expected.

Imagine how well you'd all be doing if you weren't slaves of lance reddick

Squad

Squad-Stats1.png

Here is the squad - @altodevil and @Stobzilla - as usual PM me who you want to buy/sell.

Have added some key stats to view that would perhaps be of interest to you and other players - Blk (Blocks), Clea (Clearances), K Pas (Key Passes), K T (Key Tackles), Pas% (Pass % Completed) and Clean Sheets.

9,35 xG is crazy for a holder! That’s not far off from Catman’s (yes he has scored 11 more goals). And 47 key passes with 90% passing accuracy, he’s turning into a much better player than I’ve envisioned…

Poor Heine Ken though, just 5 assists from that amount of key passes :lol: Catman, on the other hand, is an absolute efficiency monster.

Breaking-News.png

Wowzer. Solinho (@Solius) has rocked Redcafe FC and handed in a transfer request.

After a bit of discussion and thought into how this will play out, I think that the proposed is a fair way for the chip to be used.

I will remove the future transfer lock on Solinho so he's free for a club to come in and sign him. If this happens and he leaves, Redcafe FC will have a buy back clause in case they want to bring him back in future. This clause will be set at 50% of his current value. For example if he is valued at 60m, they will be able to purchase him for 30m.

Perhaps that will also change any future transfer strategy for this summer - @altodevil and @Stobzilla

It will benefit the club long term if I develop at a higher level :) I requested the buy back.

SR Wilder (@Enigma_87) and his Bulgaria side have been knocked out of the group stage of the WC with two draws and one loss to Canada. He made sub appearances in the draws and started the loss. He did get another goal for them in a 2-0 pre-WC friendly against the US.

Seb Sheep (@sebsheep) and his England side are in the Last 16 and face France. Seb started the first two group games against Syria and Austria which they won 6-0 and 3-1 respectively. He performed really well with 8.4 ratings in each but has now been dropped for Jordan Henderson who played against both Tunisia (2-1) and Mali (3-0). Might see him come in for Hendo in the France game.

Solinho @Solius attracted the interest of both Palace and Wolves. @altodevil decided that it was Palace for him and he has been moved to the Championship side for a deal valued at 13m.

Solinho is throwing his toys out of the pram because the squad love the better player, classic @Solius behaviour. You should hear what he says about some of the well-loved staff of this place, like Raoul.
