Gaming FM 24 Experiment: Redcafe FC

Seb Sheep (@sebsheep) and his England side are in the Last 16 and face France. Seb started the first two group games against Syria and Austria which they won 6-0 and 3-1 respectively. He performed really well with 8.4 ratings in each but has now been dropped for Jordan Henderson who played against both Tunisia (2-1) and Mali (3-0). Might see him come in for Hendo in the France game.
Henderson… forever the annoying p(r)ick playing ahead of well-performing talented youngsters. Is Southgate still England’s manager in this save?

Aye. FM haven't provided a summer update unfortunately. There are fan made edits but they'd require me to edit Redcafe FC into them and I had already created the editor file in prep before they were released. If I do another experiment in future I will probably use a fan made update file with transfers/database changes though.

I'm pledging my career to the club.

Solius will be begging to come back and we'll have someone better in his spot by then.

What a turncoat.

Our replacement isn't as good but he's got potential, a great character, plays multiple positions, and most importantly - is cheap as chips.

Just been attending the Last 16 game between England and France. Poor Seb didn't get any game time.

Gareth went full weirdo playing Bellingham and Rice as a DM and Segundo and Rashford as a CF. Took Bellingham off for Hendo at half time when it was 1-1. Took Rice off for TAA in ET.

Won on penalties.

Sheep is back and playing in the QF vs Norway with Mount (subbed for Gallagher at HT) in a double pivot.

He got subbed for Henderson at the start of ET.

Bowen tried a panenka in the penalty shoot-out and they lost.

An interesting summer for Redcafe FC. Their Brazilian midfielder Solinho had a tantrum and left the club after a blazing row with the chairman and was swiftly sold to Palace for 13m. This left a gaping hole in the middle for the club so they sorted that with only one way they knew how. More youth you say? Nah, how about a midfielder with 100+ International caps and 5 CLs? Enter Toni fecking Kroos. The first World Class player to enter the building and on a two year contract, he has enough time to leave his mark on the club and make sure they achieve their goal of the PL. They are projected to win the title again this season and with Kroos at the heart of the midfield, it should be a given. Oh, the training facilities were upgraded to 17 too.

Seb Sheep is still at AC Milan and resting after his World Cup ventures.

SR Wilder has been sent by City to Palermo in Serie B on loan. City are now managed by De Zerbi.

Carlos? He's left Swansea too...to AC Milan! He teams up with Seb after being signed by Milan for 16.25m.

That means all our other players (aside from Solinho now) are playing in Italy this season.

Will start the sim tomorrow. Have a 5s game tonight. Leave you with suspense before Kroos makes his entrance.

Harry Tackles being mentored in the fine art of midfield work by Toni Kroos / by the end of his contract we will be calling him Toni Tackles.
Jones just messaged me to say Tackles is only a nickname it was coined in the shower after his debut. He looked hard in there too apparently.

Apparently Harry grew up in a family with no TV access so he only heard about Kroos' magnificence from other kids at school. The only glimpse of his actual play that Harry was able to witness was that final game of Toni's career against Spain that the poor kid had to watch through a pub's window (the owner didn't allow an underaged kid in even though it was raining cats and dogs outside), so he may have gotten the slightly distorted impression of what Kroos was like... the yellow-card lore keeps evolving.

Bloody Southgate.
Great season overall and player is making some good progress attribute wise.

Kroos, thats awesome, and his physicals should give Tackles alot of room to cover and takle in...

I would also like to point out that even though Catman steals the headlines during the season they believe I am the key player before the season starts...

A tough start for the boys in League One. Going deep in other competitions and the Weekday/Weekend relentless schedule catching up with them a tad perhaps but it's been a solid season for the Caf collective individually. Harry Tackles sits top of the yellow card list with 9, Hobbers is top of the goalscoring charts with 12 and Heine, Catman and Hobbers fill out the top 3 positions in the average rating charts. Heine is finally making his ability shine and is beating Catman to that top spot and has added more goals to his game with an impressive 13 in all competitions. Kroos, as you may notice has chosen to retire at the end of the season so can they make it a last hurrah for the German or will is career end on a low?

The club has made a real go of the cup competitions this season and managed to get to the QF of the EFL Cup, narrowly losing to City 2-1. They beat Dagenham, Wrexham, Swansea and Middlesbrough in the earlier rounds.

They've beaten Cheltenham and Bradford in the early rounds of the FA Cup and play QPR in the Third Round. They're also in the Bristol Street Motor's Trophy QF.

The quality is there to get promotion.

In other news Solinho may have had the last laugh as his Crystal Palace side are top of the Championship. He plays most games on the left of a midfield two with Doucoure and Wharton playing DM behind them. 2 goals and 1 assist in 21 (4) appearances for the side in the league.

Seb Sheep has been stamping his name all over AC Milan and England. 3 goals and 4 assists in 15 league games with a rating of 7.48 for the club side and he's now played every Nations League game for England despite Southgate still being the manager!

It is a bit of a same old story for Carlos and he appears to have been hit by the SR Wilder curse this season. Though he got a dream Milan move in the summer, he's barely played at all. 4 sub appearances for the senior side and only 2 appearances for the youth team. Bit of an odd one. Will keep an eye on it.

SR Wilder doing okay for a crap Palermo side. Fighting a losing battle at times as they draw or lose most games. He has 2 goals and 3 assists in 16 appearances for them and mostly plays on the RW.

@altodevil any changes for this window?

Few more transfers. You lost to Huddersfield in the Bristol Motor's QF, beat QPR in the FA Cup 3rd round and then lost to Brentford 2-1 in the 4th Round.

On to the summer!
