F1 2021 Season

Red Bull legitimately embarrassing themselves to prove….something.

Albon recreating lines on a test day, bore off.

Can’t wait for Max to win this weekend and claim some sort of moral victory.

feck you Red Bull you petty twats. Hope Mercedes batter them in Hungary they are such unlikeable whiney bellends.

Hopefully some closure now, feels like everyone knew it would be a penalty regardless of the fault and that Hamilton would still win and nothing would change that.

I still hope Red Bull win for the past few years of dominance by Merc and sets us up for next season with new rules and multiple champs.

Also Merc should take the focus away and announce Russell for next year.

This is media being twats again. Max seemed composed in that whole interview. He was directly asked that question. If I were am F1 driver, I would refuse to talk to Sky
Sorry but Max tweeted after the race, he could've easily retracted it and said he overreacted in the heat of the moment, instead he doubles down with his bullshit response.

This is not a case of the media being twats, I mean they are twats, but not in this instance.

That's pretty odd. It doesn't clarify what Albon's recreation of Lewis's lap is meant to prove though.
probably that he'd never be able to make the apex and will naturally drift out onto the racing line.

I posted a video on the previous page that was a 3d reconstruction that was the same sort of thing.

Essentially they're trying to say Hamilton would have never made the corner without crashing I suppose. clearly though they think that's a load of rubbish and don't want to open a can of worms.

Red Bull have really gone down in my opinion over this incident.

Are there any more straws for Horner to clutch yet? It's time they all got their heads down and went racing again.

Even if he was off the racing line to the extent RB were presumably arguing, that surely wouldn't alter the fact it was largely a racing incident, even if Lewis was deemed to bear the brunt of the blame.
It still baffles me nearly two weeks on that some people are still convinced that amid the full pelt hard driving between the pair, Lewis was somehow able to pinpoint the exact angle and positioning of his wheel to hit Max and send him off while not damaging his own car.
Maybe on the Playstation on no damage mode.

Lewis some sort of evil genius that can position his wheels (that he can' barely even see because of the Halo) to smash Max's wheel at the perfect time while driving at 180mph 1 metre away from a concrete wall.

Red bull and the Max fanboys really have lost the plot i'm afraid.

If Max wasn't so interested in squeezing Hamilton into the wall he could have stayed a lot wider and there wouldn't have been any contact. He's partially to blame as much as Hamilton is.

Anyway, roll on Hungary!

Fair play, common sense prevails.

Get on with the racing.

The media didn't craft his "it's not how I was raised" response. He should have just moved on rather than continuing to whinge at the first opportunity to do so.

I suppose it's been a reminder of the power of partisanship, if ever one were needed.
I agree roll on the next race though.

Am supporting Red Bull this year but this has all given me massive shades of Rafa’s facts.. hope this doesn’t turn into a big turning point in the season!

The extents that redbull have gone to are just sad. Considering that an incident/mistake like this happens plenty of times every season, particularly early on as drivers battle for position makes it worse. I bet they didn't go to the same lengths for all the other racing incidents that have occurred with their cars through out the season or years.

It's motor racing, these things happen and it is expected that they behave like adults, accepting the stewards decisions and move onto the next race.

It's very evident Red Bull have tried very hard to damage a driver's reputation. Instead I can't help but feel that Horner has damaged his own. It can take years to build and when it has been spent in such an idiotic manner it won't be easy to get it back. I thought they had concerns over their budget too, I can't imagine what this created - manufactured - evidence has added to their concern.

He needs to learn the difference between being in hospital and going to hospital for a check up. He is completely overplaying the fact that he had to be checked for injuries at a hospital. The fact that nothing major was found and he is able to race today shows just how much he is overplaying it.

Add to the fact Hamilton had no idea he was even in hospital.
Which was a failing on the part of Mercedes PR team, to be fair. They should've updated Lewis ASAP.

But still, Max went for checks, everything was fine. He talks as if he was wrapped in bandages waiting for 6 months in hospital recovery time.

He was literally told he was fine and was being taken to hospital for precautionary checks.

This was hardly a Grosjean incident, and even those drivers celebrated on the podium just as much. Red Bull are making themselves look very soft and angsty. It's not a great look.

That is very much the way I see it.
And I am not at all surprised that the review was rejected.
The RB attempts to tarnish Lewis Hamilton reputation is infantile at best and as you rightly say, has backfired.

Horner needs to stop going on about Lewis. Its embarrassing to RB now. Max needs to get away from the toxic horner to another team.

Maybe its the just the world we live in now with social media, but there have been much worse racing incidents and never this level of crap especially from a rival team.

Does make me wonder if horner is panicking or under pressure to deliever constructors/wdc this season. Or maybe RB want to switch r&d over to next years car and cant at the moment. Who knows. But RB are destroying any good will they had.

Good read, Honda brought forward next years powertrain to this season for RB. Which begs the question. Where will RB be in the order next year when Ferrari, Mercedes and Renault bring their new 2022 powertrains in?

Interesting. I'd assumed the 2022 engine will be different to 2021. Surprised they could still use it!

Can't draw too many conclusions from FP1 and FP2. Trackside temp was 60c at FP2. Deivers losing 3kg in both sessions session.

It could all change tomorrow and sunday depending on track temperatures.
