F1 2021 Season

Ricciardo

It will be really interesting what the fall out of Max/Hamilton will be. From a championship perspective, I'm hoping that Max gets a penalty. RB have the better car, so any penalty will help to keep the championship battle interesting for longer.

I don't think anybody said he tried to kill him. Damien Hill said he deliberately took him out and Jonny Herbert agreed with him and some on here agreed with that.

I don’t think it was on this forum I read it. Apologies. Tom van Persie did say he nearly killed him though which I wouldn’t class as decent discussion.

Interestingly Max was very angry about Lewis celebrating the win at Silverstone, he called out "disrespectful", despite Lewis asking if he was OK almost immediately. Surely he should have even harsher words for himself, given that he didn't even bother to ask that question after driving over Lewis' head...

This is fun with the Sky team strongly disagreeing. Damon vs Di Resta.
Di Resta is off his rocker.

Max has 3/4 of his car off the track, why is he ignoring that? He says let them race but you can't just throw your car into something and try to force a gap open. This isn't DTM like he keeps trying to compare it to.

Herbert is absolutely bang on.

They both are. I'm not fan of neither of them.

Mate, you might as well just stop this bullshit. It’s transparent as feck, you’re simply just embarrassing yourself at this point. You prefer Max to Lewis. As do others in this thread. And as do others the other way around. It’s perfectly fine. There’s no need to fake objectivity.

Not watching now but Di Resta has always had a Hamilton complex so I tend to ignore most of what he says when he’s involved.

You wouldn't class an accurate statement as decent discussion? His tyres made contact with Lewis' head, that isn't far away from doing serious damage.

Not opinions, objective facts.

Max was stood next to Lewis in his car trying to drive away. Fact. He can see he's fine. Fact. He didn't see his tyre hit Lewis' helmet. Fact.

In Silverstone Max went backwards into a wall at 180mph. Facht.

If you can't accept that these are objective facts then you're just another deluded fanboy.
Accept my opinion as fact or you're a fanboy

Rafa is that you?

You need to learn what a "fact" actually is, as in all of the ones you've presented you've made assumptions.

Still, it doesn't matter though. You're a spoiled child defending another spoiled child, throwing around insults that perfectly describe your own attitude.

There's simply nothing Max could do that you wouldn't defend.

Umm, he didn’t go backwards into a wall. Fact

I am not normally a fan of Paul, but today he has been OK , to say he is a nobody is a tad harsh.
In racing maybe not, in the scheme of f1 he drove for force India for a few years. He’s got a bee in his bonnet imo

Jesus this thread is like peak Messi vs Ronaldo thread in terms of pettiness and childish arguments.

Anyone who resorts to putting "fact." After their own personal opinions really needs to look at themselves and their analytical skills.

Which one of those statements isn't a fact?

Stop embarrassing yourself with this incessant delusional whining.

Apparently your memory is shit.
He went sideways into a tyre wall. Maybe your eyes are as bad as your opinions

The whole Max just walking away thing wouldn’t even be a big deal if this wasn’t crying so hard after Silverstone. Makes him look like a complete idiot

Again with the projection. The only person embarrassing themselves here is you, you've been called out by multiple people for passing off your own opinions as facts.

Genuinely dude, you need to take a step back and look into why you're so personally invested in Max being infallible. It's one thing to support a driver, it's another to turn a blind eye or even defend their bad behaviour.

It's all a bit Liverpool-fans-defending-Suarez from you at the moment, can't wait for you to post pictures posing in a t-shirt with Max's face on.

Took a look at Max's onboard, and I'm gonna say the same thing I said about Hamilton at Silverstone: I don't think from where he is to take the 2nd leg of the corner, at the speed he's at, that he's making the corner.

He maybe would've made it by braking mid corner and just generally driving a really terrible line that has him doing most of the car rotation way past where the apex is, but he's certainly not going to get it turned around soon enough to leave enough room for Hamilton to also stay on track whilst outside of him.

Probably because he was stood right next to Lewis' car watching him try to reverse out.

As accidents go Silverstone was a massive crash. This was an awkward low speed crash. Trying to equate the two is absurd.
No matter how much the two might not like each other (apparently), having your fly car inches from your opponents head after being to aggressive, only for the other driver to be saved by the halo from having his head knocked off, is not an awkward low speed crash, come on!!!

The public want to see and hear Max do the right thing there, and in my opinion Max was at fault.

Before you reply by saying you're saying that as a Hamilton supporter, I lived in Holland for over 10 years and have a huge love for the country - so the opinions are not coming from a Hamilton fan but from an F1 fan

Your last paragraph won't make any difference, you're talking to a religious zealot. Max could have aimed a kick at Lewis and he'd find a way to justify it, and anybody disagreeing would be a "deluded fanboy".
